Why did they want Matt Morgan to stutter when he could cut a very good straight promo? Many questions, yet little answers.

The word from people who have seen him work outside WWE and OVW is that he can do other things, in particular high flying, but they won't let him do it and he has to reinvent his reportoire. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I thought he was supposed to have been extremely unimpressive even in OVW? Which is pretty damning, since Orton was supposed to be fantastic by OVW buzz standards. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's why I said outside of WWE and OVW. OVW is where they wiped whatever he had learned in PR out and started over, but they called him up early before he could establish a decent moveset.

I get the feeling if Chavo doesn't make this work, he'll be released very shortly.

Them booking this match shows me they are creatively bankrupt right now.

Just watching Carlito move, I think he can do more in ring but for some reason or another, he doesn't. I'm not saying he's on Shelton's level, but I think he has more than the vanilla offense that he shows.

Nothing like HHH making sure we don't forget about him.

I will admit Snitsky is the most unintentional comedian in WWE in quite awhile.

Matt has got to be there. If not tonight, then sometime soon. No way they show that video and highlight that part without him coming back. BTW, the Snitsky-foot fetish is not ok on many levels.

I am going to be seriously disappointed if HBK goes uber-Christian route with his heel turn reasoning. Just me though. I think he'll do a half turn to where he only did it to see if he could beat Hogan, but he'll still battle evil i.e. heels in other matches.

Nothing good can come from Chris Masters beating Tajiri.

I've heard this from Bryan Alvarez online and Meltz last night on WOL, that HHH is keeping himself off TV indefinitely, although his movie project "La Jornada" is on the shelf indefnitely as well. The word from Meltz was since Hogan is back in the picture and HHHe feels he has been overexposed, he's keeping himself off of TV for awhile. That's not to say he won't be back in a couple of weeks, but he isn't slated back anytime soon.

Until Meltz or Torch reports it, take with a big grain of salt IMO.

    Major problems for TNA

Are they going to announce the Super X Cup field at this event?

Whatever happened to the good ol' countout or DQ finish, specifically in referencing last week's tag match with Hogan/HBK v. Angle/Carlito? Did they really need to pin the IC champ? I know it would be dumber to have Kurt do the job, but why not go for a CO or DQ? I mean, it was a July 4 throwaway show, not a PPV, so it's not like I'm clamoring for a clean finish. I guess this is why the undercard titles don't mean shit anymore. They are no longer protected. Why even have them then?

I was there live last week and I can tell you it shouldn't be worse, but who knows. The Raw side doesn't have a PPV until August and they may just be spinning wheels, pretty much winging it until the Summerslam build.

Matt is making pennies in ROH compared to what WWE would give him, and that's with WWE lowballing him. Bank that Matt has WWE as priority #1 if they come calling. TNA is probrably #2 because they can at least pay him something. ROH doesn't enough to where it's the only thing Matt could work. He'd have to supplement ROH with TNA or other indie bookings. Why go through all that hassle if WWE can eclipse all of that? Trust me, he'll put his feelings aside for the E.

Double Yikes. They really need a TV deal and cash flow, like right now.

    Dream home locations?

I'd probrably live somewhere in the Northern California area, (alright, Sac-town or on the outskirts) perhaps the Bay Area (where I live now, but the cost of living is outrageous) Second choice would be Pacific Northwest, either somewhere in Oregon or Seattle.

The Hardest Game You Ever Played

Has anyone here attempted to finish, or even play NES Fester's Quest? If so, you know you have no idea what the ending is because I'm not sure anyone on the planet Earth has finished this extremely difficult and frustrating game.

If true, it's not that big a surprise. WWE figures if they tell Matt to jump, he'll ask how high. They'll let him work ROH, but not TNA.

Just some memories that have come to my head since hearing the news... -G-1 Climax 1996 match vs. Riki Choshu. This has to be one of the best matches ever with the simplest of movesets used. This match set the tone for Choshu's run because Shinya put him over so well. If you were going to show someone an example of Shinya's "fighting spirit", this would have to rank at the top. -G-1 Climax 1995 Finals vs. Keiji Muto. Just an awesome finals. Hash and Muto really bring their A games. 2 of the 3 muskateers just bringin it. -4/96 Tokyo Dome show vs Nobuhiko Takada. Shinya showing he can work with a more shoot type pro style. -almost any match he had with Genichiro Tenryu, especially their 1998 G-1 Climax match. Just sickening chops and punches back and forth. I distinctly remember a match from a 1993 comp where they just absolutely murdered each other. - His work with Naoya Ogawa. Talk about making a star. Naoya Ogawa is awful in the ring and Hash made him look like a Japanese Goldberg. I'll never forget their match where Hash put his career on the line vs. Ogawa and Ogawa hitting him with a ton of STO's, but out of pure anger and fury, Hash keeps getting up and just yelling for Ogawa to bring it. After Hash loses, I remember some crowd shots of some people openly weeping. That's fuckin emotion right there. For now, all I can say is RIP, Hash, and thank you for providing me with some of the most memorable wrestling moments ever.

Jim Cornette on thin ice. Again

It sucks that it happened, but Cornette got what he deserved, whether or not this is wrestling. I hope he resurfaces somewhere because he is a talented pro wrestling guy with boatloads of knowledge, but he absolutely deserved to be released.
