I thought they were over that type of deal. Guess not.

OAO 5/22/06 Raw Thread in SIN CITY

Raw has some competition tonight. You have the season finale of 24, series finale of Alias, and 2 NBA playoff Game 7's. That said, Raw will probrably get the same 3.9-4.1 it gets because that is the loyal audience. It may be closer to 3.8-3.9, but it won't be that big a dropoff.

    So what now for RVD?

No. All 3 are under contract to TNA. Not sure of the length of those contracts, but as of right now they are stuck in Orlando.

    The Sopranos-Season 6

HBO and David Chase have really dropped the ball on finishing up The Sopranos. First, the 2 year hiatus and then this. I love the show and all, but it's shit like this that leaves a sour taste in people's mouths.

    NBA Playoffs 2006: Conference Semifinals

Tonight is going to rule. Two game 7's to determine the WCF. It doesnt' get any better than that. On ESPN SportsNation poll when asked who will win game 7, Clips or Suns, it's dead even at 50% with over 129,000 votes cast.
  6. Bored at work, so I decided to start a thread from another board. List 5 famous people in the world (celebrity, athlete, politician, poster on a message board, etc) that you would love to get a swing at. I'll preface this to say they wouldn't be able to hit back or retaliate. Basically, just 5 people in the world you'd love to knock the fuck out with a one hitter quitter. In no particular order... 1) Sean Hannity 2) Kobe Bryant 3) Vince McMahon 4) Jake Gyllenhaal 5) John Mayer

Stacy Keibler suffers seizure: rushed to NYC Hospital

Uh, she doesn't need WWE to promote her any longer. She's already a household name. Yes, she's not A-list like Jessica Alba or Simpson, but she's a bigger name because of DWTS. You don't think WWE fans wouldn't find out that Stacy Keibler posed in Playboy just because WWE doesn't promote her or they wouldn't buy the issue because she is no longer a WWE employee? She doesn't need WWE to promote if she were to lay down for playboy. This is pretty moot anyways since she isn't going to pose, so it's stupid to discuss this any further.

Stacy Keibler suffers seizure: rushed to NYC Hospital

What are you talking about? Keibler got more mainstream pub with her DWTS run and her Stuff magazine layouts than she ever did with WWE. She has been with WWE since 2001, yet it wasn't until she did DWTS did the National Inquirer and other tabloid/celebrity magazines give a shit about her.

    NBA Playoffs 2006: Conference Semifinals

I think this is going to stay the heavyweight slugfest that it is and will go down to the wire. Not going to say who I think will win, but I don't see anyone pulling that far ahead to where this won't come down to at least the final minute and a half or so.

    NBA Playoffs 2006: Conference Semifinals

The key to Dallas/SA tonight is will the combo of Stackhouse/Harris/Daniels step up in the abscence of Jason Terry. I think Stackhouse and Ginobili is going to get pretty nippy tonight and it would not surprise me to see them have to be seperated from each other sometime tonight.

Might leave wrestling? She is done with wrestling. And good for her, too. She made 3 times as much money for her 6 weeks on DWTS than a full year on the road with WWE. Unless she is terrible with money, she won't need wrestling any longer.

Update from Meltzer's site. She seems to be fine now....

    NBA Playoffs 2006: Conference Semifinals

I forgot how long ago it was, but there are classifications for flagrant fouls. There are ones where if it's unecesary hard contact, depending on the officials descretion, they are assessed a tech and/or ejected. All flagrant fouls are reviewed to see whether or not the foul was just unecessary or if there was intent to harm. Obviously some people who have reputations ie Ron Artest are going to be more scrutinized than other guys who do roughly the same thing, but don't have the reputation of being overly aggressive ie Luke Walton.

Well, he did punch him. That is a suspendable offense no matter what. There is nothing new going on.

I dont' want to write Dallas off for game 6 just yet, but that is fucking huge.

    NBA Playoffs 2006: Conference Semifinals

Answer me this, who cares? ESPN does this. Anytime someone or something is hot, they make comparisons and whatnot. You are your own worse enemy.

    NBA Playoffs 2006: Conference Semifinals

That's a great observation about Game 6. The motivations are a little more complicated as opposed to Game 7- which is do or die for both teams.

    Official Judgement Day Thread

It's lying. 916 is Sacramento, where I lived for 13 years. 415 is SF, where I currently work. (510 is Oakland/East Bay)

    NBA Playoffs 2006: Conference Semifinals

As has been pointed out, there is like maybe one poster who has eluded to the Pistons being done. If anything, this is their MO since they've done it the last 3 years. (Miami-2005, NJ-2004, Orlando-2003) If the Cavs don't get it done tommorrow, I don't see them winning a game 7 on the road. Not saying I don't want them to win, just that I can't see them winning. I get the feeling Dallas will take the champs out in 6 and the Clips/Suns are going to a 7 game barn burner. Who wins that series is anyone's guess if you ask me.

    NBA Playoffs 2006: Conference Semifinals

I'm not a Spurs or Mavs fan, but I am a huge fan of games like that. I want to see them go 7 just for the fuck of it. Even if Detroit comes back to win this series, they have an all of a sudden sharp and well rested Miami Heat team waiting in the wings. How can anyone not love these playoffs?
