I don't see the big deal with this thread. We all knew this was going to happen over a month ago. You people act like this is new news and you're all shocked and appalled. Well, the hardcore and euro title still mean.... less... right? It's like the J-crown title, but held in lower regard and a lil more unstable and probably has more dead belts under it...

The RAW title is the combination of the Euro title, the Hardcore title, the US title, the IC title and the WCW title. ... .. . You know, the titles which have absolutely no value whatsoever.

Both world titles are held in the same regard in kayfabe. JR reiterates it everytime he refers to it as 'the richest prize in the business' (although they should be considered equal). Either way Benoit will go down in the history books as a former World Champion in the WWE. Yes! He gets to hold that prize which was held by such legends as HHH, and ... HHH! Oooh, such a rich prize indeed. Goodie! I'm changing my whole POV, THIS IS GREAT! I'm excited! Come, feel! He'll be the world champ on the flagship program for the WWE. Considering SummerSlam is in Toronto, Benoit will surely be booked strongly and in the title picture until then. So in that regard, yes. Yes, he will be booked very strongly in the title picture... the IC title picture. And Summerslam in Toronto isn't confirmed... haven't you read the Toronto Sun?

What happened to Benoit the last time he feuded with HHH? Next PPV: Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko, Eddie Guerrero, & Perry Saturn beat Billy Gunn, Road Dogg, Chyna, & K-Kwik (12:43) in an "elimination" match. Benoit & Saturn were the survivors. PPV after that: Chris Benoit beat Billy Gunn (10:03) via submission to win the WWF I-C Title .. that's right, he went off to feud with Billy Gunn - the guy who almost ended his career multiple times when they wrestled.

Yes he has held the Big Gold Belt before - in his arms. ... and he gave it up to go to the WWE. To hold the WWE title. *There* is the right storyline. But who cares about right?

Either way Benoit is finally getting the world title. I'm a little more excited to be a wrestling fan right now 1. Benoit is getting the Big Gold Belt. Brock Lesnar holds the WWE title. 2. You can't be a wrestling fan if you're happy with Benoit getting a second-best title. Someone who works as hard as Benoit has for so long deserves better. 3. I can PROMISE you this: Benoit will be worse off after his feud with HHH than was before it. Still excited?

I could've sworn people were saying Booker had to win (WWE *columnists* were saying this as well) at WM 18.

I also fault HHH with Benoit's HORRIBLE return in 2002.

I don't see this as that bad. I mean, Triple H and Benoit seem to be on pretty good terms from what I understand, and it seems like Triple H admires his ability. Plus, Flair loves Benoit, and we all know Trips bows on the ground Flair walks on, so I just can't see them burying Benoit. I could see some very, very good matches coming out of a Benoit-Triple H feud. Maybe you can't see it because your head's up your ass? 'Member the last time Benoit and HHH feuded? Yeah, he sure was put over there...*cough*... match wasn't that great either, and this was during HHH's "greatest year ever".

Menjivar vs. Serra is off, according to some sources at the UG. Work Visa, apparently, is the problem. He will, however, be participating at UFC 48. I'm actually kinda happy, since they probably weren't going to show his fight anyways.

I know, we were spoiled by PRIDE in 2003... And hopefully, this builds towards another -better- show.

... I care. X-2 was a pretty fun flick. And it's UFC 46. PRIDE 27 is shown a week or two after - and I won't be watching that (horrible card). But UFC 46: Super Natural, I will be watching. And since it's on PPV, and since it's close to the Rumble (31st) and since it's a reason as to why I won't be watching the rumble ("a" reason), it's kinda, sorta, a lil bit, relevant.

I'll be ordering it. And by "it" I mean UFC 46: Super Natural - a vastly superior show in every way possible.
