Honestly, my head hurts from reading this thread. Stupid, Stupid, Stupid. I'm stupid for reading this thread.

The One and Only Angel Season 5 Thread
RavishingRickRudo replied to Steve J. Rogers's topic in Brandon Truitt
He's always known that Buffy doesn't love him, he just wants Buffy to respect him. Her saying "I love you" wasn't so much a sign of affection as it was a sign of respect. -
Most Extreme Challenge is actually a pretty funny show and Joe Schmoe was good as well. I've seen way too many Nex Gen re-runs through... Let's just hope they don't see the UFC as their next SLAMBALL *shudders*.

Yeah, and the rumour is that they've signed (or are so close they practically are) a deal with SpikeTV... a very good year indeed if that is true.

The Dames' Diatribe on WWE Raw - Jan 19th, 2004
RavishingRickRudo replied to The Dames's topic in The WWE Folder
Does anyone else see Jericho and Christian waking up one day having forgotten what happened the previous night. "Awesomeness! What does mine say?" "Jackass! What does mine say?" "Awesomeness! What does mine say?" "Jackass! What does mine say?" "Awe-some-ness! What does mine say?" "J-ack-Ass! What does mine say?" "AWESOMENESS! What does mine say?" "JACKASS! WHAT DOES MINE SAY!" -
I'm sure I've heard instances of where cutting weight hurt a fighters performance, I just can't think of one. It'll happen more often, though, in the future since Randy was so successful at a lighter weight.

I'm kinda happy, though, since I believe there's going to be a week-long tape delay as well as it's positioned pretty close to UFC 46; so it's a lot cheaper just buying the one

Ken cops to his bad knee(s) than conditioning for his fight with Tito, I believe.

Oh and SHIT, the "little horse" comment followed by the look on the chicks face had me on the FLOOR! That, along with Simon breaking that girls dreams and mocking her relgious beliefs made my day.

Yeah, what's the deal with the copious amounts of cleavage tonight, anyways? The Bible Twins didn't blow me away - after a while, they all start to sound the same (and by "they" I mean male singers - and female singers too)... it takes a rare person to break from the moooooOOOOOldaaaaaahyaeeIIIIIeeIIII - if you catch my drift. The guy who sang "the best version of that song I've ever heard" - Simon almost had me asleep... jesus christ, just say the word dammit!

The One and Only Angel Season 5 Thread

OK! I saw Harms Way tonight! I really enjoyed it - moreso than I thought. Ok, let's see how this goes... been a while... 1. Harmony knocking out the blood tester, lorne and finally Fred was hilarious - the look on her face was priceless. 2. Is it me, or did Fred look exceptionally HOT tonight? SHIT. 3. Harmony vs. The Other Chick was fucking great! GREAT! The chopsticks, the different matrixesque fighting styles, the unicorn jab. GREAT. 4. Some people didn't like the Spike explanation, I didn't mind it. He's always wanted Buffy to think great of him, and him coming back would lessen that. 5. I was feeling for Harmony, but then you realise that she's still a bitch - it's a nice balance. 6... um.. err... uh.... can only think of 5 things... shit... well, Nathan Fillion IS god, btw. Check out the Firefly thread! -
She was your basic chick singer. Nothing that blew you away - but she was fun and goofy and I like that.

I can see Scooter Girl being a sentimental pick that they squash down in the process to show that "it's a competition".

Conan got KTFO by Maurice Smith at Extreme Challenge 3, I believe. That was a fun match. Jimmy, what do you know of Lee Murray?? I only am hearing second hand info. KO'ing Pele is impressive. *marks for Stompin Tom reference* And I'm STICKING WITH "THE FEAR"!!

1. Klingons + American Idol = Ratings - I smell a new SPIKE TV original reality series. 2. SCOOTER GIRL! YEAH! It's great how she has a "sense of humour" while all the other people who goof around are just pathetic. Must be the boobies. Anyways, SCOOTER GIRL still rules. 3. "Well, he took the day off" got a "HA!" followed by quieter "ha's" - fucking hilarious and mean and hilarious. 4. I don't really remember too much 'cept for the Dean Martin guy (who was good) and the opening army chick who sucked at everything.

It's probably better just not to say anything. But if you're stuck for an answer "I watched it as a kid" is probably the best one.

I would venture to say that since the WWE blatently ignored the agreement that as a punitive measure they were banned from using it in the US. Or it was under the international copyright or trademark law - I know the U.S. is signed under one agreement that binds it to other countries. As for the Hogan DVD, it was probably already in development as the WWFund lawsuit occured, so it would be unreasonable for them to completely change it in a short period of time - there was probably an allowance of 6 months for them to make the change.

Has there ever been a less-convincing title threat

Hey, I can dream! Actually, according to the WWE, you can't. -

Storm Country January 12, 2004 This past week our house show loop took us through eastern Canada. We started off in Oshawa, ON, which is more or less a suburb of Toronto, before heading to the Maritimes with shows in Halifax and St. John’s. I love doing house shows in Canada because the crowds are always very pro-Canada (gee go figure) and us Canadian boys always get a warmer than usual welcome. Oshawa ended up being very cool, as my Mom and Step-Dad were in Toronto this weekend so I got to hook up with them for dinner and they got to see me wrestle. Living on the other side of the Country from most of your family really sucks so whenever I get the chance for an extra visit I jump at it. The show itself was fairly uneventful but the same can’t be said for the rest of the tour. For some, completely unexplained, reason I am over like crazy in the Maritimes. The Maritimes, for those of you who don’t know, is the group name given to Canada’s Atlantic provinces. Our Saturday show was in Halifax, NS, and I may be more over in this town than any other city in the world. I’m not completely sure why, I think it is a combination of a lot of things. My strong Pro-Canada push in WCW certainly contributed but that does not explain why this city more than other Canadian venues. I think the Internet is also a strong factor. There doesn’t seem to be as much to do out here so I think fans spend a larger portion of their time online. This is not so much a knock on their city as much as just a realization that most entertainment events don’t venture this far east. When concert tours and other traveling shows map out their 6-8 Canadian dates for their World Tour, Atlantic Canada is more often than not over looked. I about as Internet friendly as the boys get and I likely spend more time with you guys, via this site, than I sometimes spend with my wife and kids. I seem to be the wrestler of choice for the Pro-Canadian, Internet Savvy, Wrestling fan. Or to put it in laymen terms, I’m OVER like Grover, baby! I had so much fun in Halifax. I wrestled a tag match with Val Venis vs. Tomko & Fertig (Two Developmental Guys) Val and Fertig were going to start the match but before they could even tie up the crowd broke into a HUGE “We Want Storm” chant. I popped huge and Val realized it was pointless for him to start the match so we made the tag and switched things up. The crowd couldn’t have been happier and they popped for everything I did. I did a few things with Fertig then tagged my partner back in. Unfortunately, for Val anyway, this was not what the crowd wanted. No sooner had he stepped into the ring another, “We Want Storm” chant erupted. This chant was followed by a “Make the Tag” chant, and I was damn near laughing out loud on the apron, while apologizing to Val, for the strong crowd reaction. There is nothing worse than being a baby face no one wants to see. Fertig and Tomko then cut Val off and started beating the hell out of him. The crowd continued off and on with the “We Want Storm” chants until I made the big tag and made my comeback. Again the crowd was with me all the way and I had the time of my life. Everything is so much more fun when the crowd is into what you do. It also doesn’t hurt the old ego to be quite probably the most over guy in the building. It doesn’t happen too often so I eat it up when I can. Sunday night in St John’s, NF, wasn’t quite as over the top as Halifax but there was a very strong, “We Want Lance” chant through out this match as well. If we could just do regular television tapings in the Maritimes (I don’t think Newfoundland is technically part of the Maritimes, but I group it together because we always run them together) I could be a top baby face and I would likely get my World Title run. In all seriousness, I just want to thank everyone who came out to the shows this week, and more importantly say how much of a difference you made to me. I had so much fun it was ridiculous. I was smiling from ear to ear and I owe it all to you. Thanks to all, and let me close by saying, “Halifax is Storm Country!” You guys are the best. Till next week. Lance

Cruiserweight Battle Royal Likely For WMXX
RavishingRickRudo replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in The WWE Folder
Yes, because having 10 guys in the ring at the same time really lends itself to high flying antics. It also goes against the psychology of a battle royal to be flying around off the top - so even if they do, it makes them stupid for doing so. And what's this about the stage and barriers? The action stays in-ring, the only flying to the outside will be when someone is eliminated. A 6 (or 8 man, hell the 10 man mich pro matches were awesome) is a better solution - WCW did them and they were FUN. I can't think of a single fun cruiserweight battle royale (mainly because there aren't that many because they're stupid to do). Tajiri/Yang/Sakoda/Chavo/Knoble vs. Rey/Kidman/Moore/Dragon/Funaki (throw in london if you want). Have them go all out. Of course, that might risk them stealing the show and you can't have that -
No, I just read whatever was written in the synopsis in the 'guide.

Cruiserweight Battle Royal Likely For WMXX
RavishingRickRudo replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in The WWE Folder
The appeal of the cruiserweights is that they fly all over the place *in and outside of the ring* - a battle royal eliminates those possibilities (or at least, greatly restricts it). This just goes to show that Vince has NO IDEA how to handle cruiserweights. A 6 man tag would be a better idea. -
WWE catchphrases and sayings that need to die

No, you dolt. You use Superstar Points to...uh, I think buy new panties for Torrie in Here Comes the Pain. As if she wears them besides for B&P matches. Fuck that, I wanna slay me some dragons. They're now Sorcerer Points. - Sarudo The White -
Yeah, I guess I'll do that... I looked it up today in the TV guide and I know when the re-run is on... and since Lindsay is back in the next eppy I'll have to watch it since that was a killer cliffhanger...
