I'd agree with that...

Team Angle bombed. Not in the "Haas and Benjamin suck" way, but in the "Two guys who are specialized in defeating Brock Lesnar" way - which they clearly weren't. Benjamin wasn't only a former teammate of Brock, he helped TRAIN Brock. Charlie Haas was "the next kurt angle". Did the WWE really enhance either of these attributes? No, of course not. They just played the "let's beat Brock down/let's bump for Brock" role that anyone could have played (the WWE has since gone on to make Tajiri's gang the same, as well as Brock's "heavies".) That part of the Angle/Lesnar feud bombed.. and it could have been something ORIGINAL and lasted for at least 2 PPV's (hmm, like Royal Rumble and NWO). Instead they did Brock vs. Big Show... which they did throughout Brock vs. Angle.... which also ruined it. Then there is Angle/Lesnar itself - they had MONTHS to make Kurt Angle look STRONG and they couldn't even do it for a week. There was no point in the course of that feud where I thought "Gee, maybe Kurt could actually win" AND KURT IS THE FUCKING CHAMPION! Yes, Brock is bigger. Yes, Brock is stronger. But Kurt has more experience, is at a higher level in terms of being an olympic gold medalist, is smarter, and is quicker... so how do they play this up? BY HAVING ERIC ANGLE SUB-IN?! FUCKING CHRIST! BY HAVING THE FEUD STILL CENTRED ON HEYMAN vs. LESNAR? FUCKING FUCK! Angle/Lesnar was a simple feud to book. It was HANDED to them, and they had to do what they always do and that's fuck it up with their over-booking and formulaic bullshit. And that was just the first part of their feud. The Second part had Angle coming back to an awesome video package and all-of-a-sudden he's best friends with Brock Lesnar! OOOOOOK! "Brock called me on the phone and checked up on me and we talked in the hospital and became good friends" RIIIIGHT, and during the whole time Kurt was laid up in hospital did we see Brock on the phone talking to him? Would it have killed them to have Brock hang up the phone with "ok, talk to you later, hope you get better soon" a few times to PROVE that Brock and Kurt talked? We're supposed to take their word for it? Their relationship was built on a shakey foundation as we, the fans, had no actual connection and did not see their friendship form - so why should we care about it? We shouldn't and we didn't. The Brock/Angle friendship was just fucking bad. Then Angle turns on Team Angle for the same reason (in the opposite direction) that he is best buds with Brock - for off-screen reasons. Here's an idea WWE - SHOW, DON'T TELL! And that didn't even lead to a PPV match or anything. One would think that the break-up of a major part of Smackdown for a few months would warrant some sort of high-profile match. Nope. To make matters worse, Kurts "Big Comeback" where he was gunning for the title was botched when he didn't even gun for the title. He came back and his first target(s) were Big Show and Team Angle. Add that to "my-new-best-bud" Brock being the title holder and there was no emotional investment in his quest for the title. Fucking bullshit. Again, the WWE being handed something and them botching it through over-booking and formula. Adding to this was the fact that Big Show one-upped BOTH men and became the focus of the Vengeance match. So Kurt wins the title in a *3 way*, because lord-knows they have to stretch out Brock vs. Angle. 3 ways somehow take away from the fact that Brock and Angle were still wrestling each other in that match. And why not have Kurt make his triumphant title win in a disputed fashion? And then Brock turns heel. 3 Major Fuck ups. Another fuck up came when Angle tapped Brock with NO fanfare, NO hype, and NO point. The tap out factor alone was worth another match. So Brock becomes the pussy heel thus destroying a lot of the monster cred he built up a year earlier and he takes the title ON TV after a lacklustre Ironman match where he cheated several times to win the title *which they play up to this day*. There ends the feud, on TV, after 3 PPV matches... THIS is the Feud of the Year? The only reason this feud should be highlighted for anything is to show how NOT to book a feud.

Since Curry said it, I can give a reasonable explanation as to why: 1) JR sucks. Ass. Man Ass. Big Fat Hosstacular Man Ass. Big Fat Smashmouth Hosstacular Man Ass. It leads to crappy football references throughout the show and crappy former football players getting signed to which JR splooges over their football record like it actually means something.
