Yeah, it only benefitted Silva in hindsight as had the fight gone to decision - that 1 point loss could have matered - plus he lost $$. Quite frankly, Silva beat Rampages ass so badly that it doesn't really matter to me. I mean, had he squeeked out with a win, then yeah, but he obliterated Jackson.

Maybe it was that Japanese Shampoo Commercial company and they remembered Booker T really wanted that job and now that Edge is out of action they want HIM as their new spokesperson.

Kane is the good guy. He is the one who fights oppression (be it Stone Cold, JR, Linda McMahon, or Shane McMahon). He was the first victim (created by Stone Cold and RVD - and to a greater extent, by Taker and Paul Bearer - and to an even greater extent - society). And Shane is a McMahon - evil by default.

I am not a Pride whore.... as I do not get paid for my services... I am a Pride slut.

WM 3 I like, but not for the reason most people like it (Savage/Steamboat). I totally dig the tag match between Can Am and Orton/Muracco and I loooove Hogan vs. Andre (fuck you workrate freaks*! That was fantastic storytelling and had the drahmuh!) *Don't take it personally, I am still one of you... and I love you.

Plus the animation is horrible. In Season 3 and 4, it LOOKED funny. It wasn't perfect, but it's imperfections are what made it great. Now it's too smooth. They actually concentrate on shadow... the fuck? In terms of developing characters - it's a cartoon. With Live-action you have to because the characters themselves physically change and we can personally relate to them because they look like us. The Simpsons are yellow, they have big white eyes, Homer defies human physiology, what is the deal with Bart and Lisa's hair... you dig? The Simpsons is run episodically, they don't have giant year-long storyarcs. They don't have to develop characters. Seinfeld didn't. I mean, there were subtle changes and that's cool, but in terms of "wow, they're so different from when they began", they weren't (cept for George doing his best Woody Allen impression in the first season). With the Simpsons, Bart and Homer are COMPLETELY different. Bart is a pussy and Homer is a megalomaniac. Usually, in terms of sitcoms, they just add a baby or new cast member rather than change a character. With the Simpsons they've tried to have eps. that focus on the secondary characters they've created - Moe, for example, get's MUCH more play then he did from Season 1 - 7. This is just a way of hiding the fact that they've ran out of ideas for the core characters. That's why every week is "Let's have Homer do something stupid and make some crack on modern life" (which is SO annoying! The nuclear family has become Y2K compatible). Yes, there is a certain shelf-life to a series if they don't "change", but then again, why should a series go 15 seasons? Seinfeld ended when it should have. The Simpsons should have ended around that time as well. I think a big turning point was when they stopped calling them "Yellow" and instead just called them "White"... they aren't true to the universe they created. And the Frank Grimes tombstone...

No mention of CRASH on RAW tonight?
RavishingRickRudo replied to BifEverchad's topic in The WWE Folder
Did they even make reference of Crash leaving Smackdown??? -
Maybe it's the manager of the Wendys Booker robbed wanting revenge. Or maybe it was a guard... MAYBE IT WAS THE BIG BOSSMAN!!!

WM 10. I don't think the "big 2" matches are even that great. The Ladder match doesn't age well, and Bret/Owen had some goofiness in it. WM 19 - HBK/Y2J, Austin/Rock, Brock/Angle, none of them really did anything for me (Austin/Rock did the first time I saw it cause I had low expectations, but the second time it was flat). The 4 way tag match wasn't given enough time and had a screwy ending. Matt/Rey was way too short. WM 18 - It doesn't get a lot of love, but it gets enough for me to be annoyed by it. I find a lot of the old WCW ppv's are a lot better than people make them out to be. Maybe it's because I dug the goofy shit they did and they had a lot of variety - plus, when Brain is announcing, it's always better. Right now, the things that are not getting enough love (see, interest) is PRIDE in 2003. Pride 25, Pride TE, and now Pride FC - 3 of the best shows in MMA history in 1 year.... that's sick. And barely anyone is noticing. It's a fucking shame. UFC has had 2 great shows as well in UFC 43 and 44 and UFC 45 is lookin to be a good show (which means that's the bare minimum, unlike the WWE where "good" is something of a surprise.) Vengeance wasn't as good as I would have liked. Benoit/Eddie was too spotty, the tag match was good but I was told it was MOTYC good. The 3 way was "whatever". The only match that I dug was Taker/Cena.

If you said it in court when you were directly involved with the incident and employed Owen... sure. But you didn't. So shut-the-fuck-up and quit being a smartass. -

Vince admitted responsibility. I just posted it. Why is there even a debate? -

"I am responsible for Owen Hart's death" - Vince McMahon, in court (credit: Lord of the Ring, Stu Hart's bio) C'mon, he badmouthed HHH, of course they're not going to recognize his life and death. -
It's SISTA SHERRI!

The One and Only Angel Season 5 Thread
RavishingRickRudo replied to Steve J. Rogers's topic in Brandon Truitt
Angel signing "Mandy" (hell, the whole "Angel-Sings") is fucking brizziliant. Angel's turn, on the other hand, was fucking frustrating when it was happening. Reruns have been kind to it, and it's pretty fucking awesome, but at the time... fuck... -
The Simpsons that I love is back, what, 7 seasons ago??? This Simpsons is not that Simpsons... not even close... it is much, much, much worse. If I didn't see seasons 1-8, I wouldn't care and I would probably enjoy the shows like I do Futurama (they have the same comedy style)... but I did... and everything they do betrays those characters established in the earlier seasons.

I am pissed enough that they changed Barney and Killed Maude and put Gil in the place of Lionel Hutz (I know why they killed Maude and obviously couldn't raise Hartman from the dead - but it's just not the same) RRR: Hates change

First time I watched the show for a long while... (at least a new eps)... Bart waking up in the car gave me a chuckle. Mr. Burns' inteview was funny.

Did anyone else LOVE the Pride set??
-
Or they'll just put Big Daddy in against someone like Cro Cop and Herring against Fedor (~!).

Um what are you talking about Pin. You're so crazy. What are you responding to? Angel? Why would I be talking about Angel? That belongs in another folder, my strange friend...

The One and Only Angel Season 5 Thread

Season 1 Angel was a lot better than I remembered it. Very underrated. -
Ummm I mean... PRIDE RULEZ!

Dana White was a good addition to the announce team. It added drama to the fight.

Herring will probably participate in the Heavyweight Grand Prix. I can see Pride bringing back Bobish for another shot, but he looked like a fucking pussy in this fight. If they haven't gotten rid of Yamamoto by now, they won't.

Yeah, less BAYBEE's but still the same amount of "Obviously" - but that's cool. He referred most the technical stuff to Bas and helped draw information out of him. Really good work. Rampage is still #1 contender - I'd like to see them go again at Inferno. Though I don't think Jackson would want to after that slaughter.
