The Better Steve Austin vs. Kurt Angle match?
RavishingRickRudo replied to BifEverchad's topic in General Wrestling
It's on the action DVD? Hmmm.. -
YES! *Awaiting "Coach" Test, wheelchair and all.*

Just a weekly reminder that TSN has MMA on tonight at midnight. When I checked the program guide on the TV yesterday it said "Major League MMA" which is the UCC/TKO show name, but today it says "Ultimate Fighting Championship". Either one would be good - the UFC shows usually have a good fight or two on them and are fun to watch.

I've seen Trish in "bad light" and it's not pretty. That's not to say that I wouldn't do her and then live in her house... cause I would.
-
Ah Crap, They aired Penn/Thomas, Uno/Pulver (I believe), and Tito/Elvis - which they have shown at least twice already and weren't even great in the first place. ...But ya gotta love that Tito Entrance. Tito.. Is - In... The - House.

A Dog Collar match would be SO much better. Anyways, since this is the unofficial Velocidental thread, I gotta say I marked out for the Rhyno-ECW footage and hearing Joey Styles again. And Tazz and Josh fucking rule. That is all.

I prefer to call it "A Money Pit"

They had a really good match on Raw in Jan 01 - I believe it was the one where HHH came back. -
*bashes head against desk* .. I might have to start the Ratings Report early.
-
Ok, THAT'S IT! Starting in November (sweeps month), I am going to do a ratings report. I'm tired of these constant, singular, ratings threads that put nothing in perspective. It will include trend analysis, historical data, outside influences, what's hot and what's not, the "big stories", Quarterly, Monthly, Semi-Annual and Yearly reports, along with my own unique view on wrestling... Coming in November, RRRRR: RavinshingRickRudo's Rating Report!
-
In theory, yes, the previous show has an impact on the current show's ratings. But I'd put more weight into variables and chance than that... unless it was built up big with a return of someone, or a big match, or something like that for a week or two.
-
That's silly MH. Who cares about making money? RRR: Waiting for the Linda McMahon T-shirt and beanie.
-
Well I figure, the 3.6 that saw it this week would tell their friends that Linda is in the McMahon Mix so those friends will watch next week to see what happens. No Spinning Needed, a rating is a rating - call me when they stay up there for a while.
-
And with Linda in the mix... 4.5~! Bet onnit.

Cool Rock has been haunting me for as long as I can remember... WHY WON'T YOU DIE!!!

Velocity is now the best WWE show. Think about it.

I'd imagine they'd fill the place. There were like 1000 people on-hand for a Shawn Michaels autograph signing as well as a few thousand for the Woodbine autograph sessions. Of course, Canadian houses aren't nearly as big as they were before (wonder why), so it wouldn't surprise me if they couldn't fill the HC. But then again, I doubt they would want to play a 5000 seat arena given the Canadian Dollar. Not much of a pay-off. Plus, they did about 10,000 at the Air Canada centre last October for a Smackdown taping. -

I'm sure Steph has some stuffed animals in her room she could use to fill the void. -

Kimura http://www.bjj.org/techniques/ ^^^ For more moves ^^^ It basically pushes your elbow and shoulder to places it shouldn't be. Notice the double wrist lock. The hands push down on the wrist, the arm acts as a "post" or fulcrum... it hurts. The leg around the head is important in _this_ position because if the opponent is flat on his back it won't work. The most infamous kimura was in the Gracie/Sakuraba matches (both Royler and Renzo) where Sak had Royler in it for about 20-30 seconds and the ref stopped it, and basically broke Renzo's arm with it. You can see them both in his highlight video from Sherdog... http://www.sherdog.com/videos/sakuraba/sak...urabavideo.shtm

WHOOPS, wrong thread. HEY! The Mississauga Hershey Centre holds about 5000. C'mon over and get out-drawn by ECW. -
Watched Dragon/London 2/3 falls again - on mute - and there is no way this is MOTY. There's a lot of smart work in it, but there's also a lot of very stupid stuff as well. HeY! Dragon is tired! No wait! Dragon is fresh! No! Tired! No!!! FRESH! HeY! Dragon is smart! No Wait! Dragon is so STOOOOPID~! London's leg is hurt! Look at him SELL~! POWERBOMB! SSP! Hey! A headlock! Going nowhere! And another headlock! Also going nowhere! HEY~! A HEADLOCK! GOING NOWHERE! Ok, enough of that.. The multiple Desparation Pin-falls were improperly placed and paced. I don't know why Dragon was so desparate to get the pin-fall when he was in control of the match. Didn't really suit the character he was portraying. Plus it came right after Dragon was beating the shit outta London - so really, Dragon should have just continued his methodical assault, rather than playing the quick-pinfall game. Pacing was a bit of a problem throughout. They did a lot of those "I hit you, you hit me, I hit you" spots, it seemed, when ever they felt like it. The pointless opening sequences. There's some smart stuff in them, but ultimately they are disjointed and pointless. Esp. when establishing Dragon as the "smart" wrestler who "learns" from his mistakes, and then does some incredibly stupid things after. London kept going for a headlock, which is fine if he did anything with it... but he didn't. The end spot with Dragon trying to backdrop London out of the ring would have been perfect to bring the headlock back and have Paul take AD down to the mat with a flying headlock thus setting up the finish. Of course, they didn't do that. They over-played the top-rope-battle spot, they must have done that over half-a-dozen times, each ending with "stupid" Dragon falling to the mat. There was a spot where London and Dragon were copying eachothers moves... for whatever reason... I think they probably thought it would be "fun" to do. Now, correct me if I am wrong, but was American Dragon playing the "cagey veteran"?? Cause I kinda got that feeling. American "4 years in the business" Dragon playing the well-travelled vet doesn't quite work for me.
