So the Billy Graham piece was the receipt for HBO Real Sports' story. That stuff about all the allegations on Phil Donahue being fabricated ... well, we'll read all about it in the next WON history piece. The only thing missing was Vince making a reference to that vindictive federal government. I guess that comes later when they do a Confidential piece on George Zahorian. ("It was all a conspiracy by me against Vince and Hogan and all you great fans. Sorry.") I'm trying to put together the WWE Confidential canonical WWE timeline: 1900-1983 - Vince Sr., Jess, and other McMahon ancestors invent, promote, and control wrestling. Legends of this era include Andre the Giant, Rocky Johnson, Peter Maivia, Gorilla Monsoon, Pat Patterson, Ric Flair, and James Dudley. 1984 - Vince takes wrestling out of smoky arenas, invents merchandise and entrance music, creates Wrestlemania, creates Hulkamania. Hogan's level of contribution to this depends on his current relationship with Vince. 1987 - 93,000,000 attend greatest Wrestlemania of all time to see Andre's first career loss. 1991 - Patriotic angle at greatest Wrestlemania of all time honors America. 1992 - Jealous conspirators try to bring down Camelot by inventing lies about steroids and other scandals. 1994 - Trial caused by the federal government's vendetta distracts Vince and allows Ted Turner to steal Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, and Scott Hall. 1996 - Kevin Nash and Scott Hall debut in WCW, pretend to be from the WWF, and steal WWF's fans. WWF business declines for the first time ever due to confusion in the marketplace. 1997 - Bret Hart refuses to drop the WWF Title before leaving. Vince saves the company and preserve the time-honored tradition. 1998 - Mr. McMahon and Attitude take the WWF to a new plateau, where they have remained ever since despite internet naysayers. Canadian fans still not over Montreal. 1999-2000 - Bret Hart kills WCW. MCI and other sponsors don't Get It. Canadian fans still not over Montreal. 2001 - WWF buys WCW and finally allows its superstars to flourish, though sadly they don't get over enough to beat anyone from the WWF. Media negativity prevents the XFL from getting off the ground. Canadian fans still not over Montreal. 2002 - Company begins brand extension and 3-year long process required to make new stars. Animal-lovers steal the F. Steve Austin walks out and never works for the company again. Smackdown promotes gay rights and Raw screws corpses like CSI. Hulk Hogan walks out and never works for the company again. Canadian fans still not over Montreal. 2003 - Lex Luger murders Elizabeth. Steve Austin and Hulk Hogan work main events at greatest Wrestlemania of all time. Lots of wrestlers die because of their own weakness and vices. Canadian fans still not over Montreal. 2004 - Vince and Stephanie headline greatest Wrestlemania of all time at Madison Square Garden. Canadian fans still not over Montreal. -by Justin Shapiro http://www.liveaudiowrestling.com/wo/news/...lt.asp?aID=8416

Matt Hume's Explanation of the Nog-Ricco Fight
RavishingRickRudo replied to Your Paragon of Virtue's topic in General Wrestling
"Oh man brother, I'd love to fight Crocop man, but you see, I got a flat tire and those lil plastic things on the tips of the shoelace on my shoes, yeah, those things fell off and I can't quite tie my shoes properly and I can't fight with those conditions - my mind would be on other things, but I'd kick Mirko's ass if we ever fought - I'm the GP fuckin Champion, brother." -

No, No, No. It's Bret's fault. -
Matt Hume's Explanation of the Nog-Ricco Fight
RavishingRickRudo replied to Your Paragon of Virtue's topic in General Wrestling
Cro Cop has said that he wants one more fight with a ground-fighter/grappler before he gets in the ring with Fedor. I forget the Pride match where Matt Hume was on commentary along with Bas and Stephen, but it was one of the most informative things on the way Pride fights are judged and every fan needs to hear it. -
It depends on how they pace the show before hand. They have to get the fans accustomed to a slow(er) pace so the Ironman match won't seem out of place.

Tawren, Shapiro didn't beat it into the ground - Vince did... which is the whole point. -
Which is why Eddie would be so mad to see Chavo "go straight". The psychology of the match would be Chavo throwing Eddie off by not taking cheap shots, not putting his feet on the ropes, telling the ref that Eddies shoulders were up when he got the 3 count, and general good sportsmanship. What would make this brilliant is that the fans would boo Chavo for doing these things and should be encouraged to chant "cheat". It's the sort of gimmick that fans can get into because they are a part of it, rather than just spectators.

I... I... I... I just can't believe it. JR is full of shit. And to think, I trusted this man as my Play-by-Play announcer for well over a decade. I don't think I'll ever look the same way at the WWE Announce team again. RRR: Innocence lost.
-
I can't believe JR would just LIE like that.
-
Or Chavo could win cleanly in one match and Eddie goes nuts - and base Chavo's heel turn around playing fair as a way of enhancing Eddies C2W gimmick.
-
I believe current UFC Light-heavyweight Champion Tito Ortiz is in this film as well.

They do?

Angle vs. Brock goes 40-minutes+ at a House Show
RavishingRickRudo replied to cawthon777's topic in The WWE Folder
And as a reference, how did you like their two PPV matches... ? -
They do well on TV?
-
1. Roadkill ruled. 2. H.A.D.I. 4 Life. 3. Skullet = mix of Skull and Mullet...
-
But, But, But, But... In his Ross Reports JR always made time to put over the cruiserweights! He really does love them!! WHY ELSE WOULD HE MENTION THEM!?!
-
Because Eddie is a singles competitor and they have nothing for Chavo and they love to turn people. That's why Chavo will turn... cause they're morons.
-
Seriously, with the way Raw is - I'd rather watch Taker vs. Train.
