The Tag Division is a wreck right now. As is the cruiserweight division. They need more face teams and a more competitive division (for both). Tajiri vs. Kidman #1 contender? How the fuck did that come about? APA shouldn't even be wrestling and they're the only face tag team on Smackdown right now (Bashams, FBI, WGTT, Rhyno/Albert-potentially). Funaki and Spanky should get a push as a tag team on Smackdown. Not necessarily as serious contenders, but as something FUN to watch. Benoit seems to be there to put over Rhyno and Albert, which I don't like but I don't hate as long as something is done with both guys rather than just throw around Benoit and that's it. Taker in the ME scene, it's been fuckin played. Periodical title shots with shit in between? WHY?? Taker loses, but never gets knocked down a peg, so he doesn't really "lose" so much as he "doesn't win". Angle should beat Taker to add to his legitimacy, but then again he shouldn't cause Takers job should belong to someone else.

Cena calling Eddie a wetback is fun, I hope he does the swimming motions as well which would be a cool homage to LGL Eddie Guerrero.

OT: The strange thing about Gracie vs. Sak that I didn't expect but hoped for, was that it was VERY EASY to watch. 90 Minutes! I didn't get bored once! Infact, I think it went by too fast.

*smacks head* HOW could I have forgotten... Zoo Crew 2.
-
Let's see what they are setting up... Benoit & ??? vs. Albert/Rhyno (aka Beasts from the East... aka Furhyno... aka the Boston Bad Boy and the Detroit Dominator of Doom... aka Rhybert... aka The MenBeasts.... aka Horny Train....aka Big Bald and Bad... aka Paul Heymans wetdream -that is to say, Rhyno the last ECW champion and Albert the jew... aka Traino.) Kurt vs. Taker Tajiri vs. Mysterio (or Kidman vs. Mysterio where Kidman tries to attack Tajiri and ends up hitting Rey and whatnot) Eddie vs. Cena. ... wow, Smackdown was WAY more productive than Raw and they still have another month to build for the PPV.

I changed it last night. That match is freakin awesome.

Damn you pinjaaaahkaaaay!!!
-
Yeah, just like they did at Fully Loaded 00.
-
No, the McMahons would just put someone up in another high spot on the card -still have the show centred around them- and when the ratings fall they can still blame someone else and say "there's not enough of us on!"
-
So I guess you could say that Cena gives Eddie a... rim... job. *wink, nod, gun*

Step By Step got old fast. Esp when Cody beat his wife.

FAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE!

Wait... Call me crazy. But there was only ONE McMahon on that show. And that McMahon was only in ONE segment. Something is wrong here. And wait.. this seems to be a wrestler-centric show... Something is VERY wrong here.

Albert and Rhyno as a team? Oh... THIS should be fun. *begins to think of team names and zany skits*

The Growing Pains theme is better than Full Houses. Just to clear that up.

UFC on SPIKE TV ~ Informercial Style~
RavishingRickRudo replied to RavishingRickRudo's topic in General Wrestling
I also believe the UFC drew significant ratings for said program. -
From MMAWEEKLY.com UFC president Dana White appeared on Monday's MMAWeekly Radio Show and announced a massive awareness campaign that the UFC will be running on national television to raise awareness about mixed martial arts. It wasn't the announcement of a weekly TV deal as many fans were hoping, but it was probably the next best thing as far as mainstream awareness for the sport of MMA. The advertising campaign will debut on September 5 in the form of a 30-minute infomercial that will air on Spike TV and Comedy Central more than 250 times in a two-week period. Spike TV is the new name for TNN and is also the home of the WWE, which consistantly has one of the highest-rated shows on cable television with WWE Raw. Dana White has said on the record that the UFC is talking with Spike TV (and a few other networks) about a weekly TV show for the UFC, and he reaffirmed those statements on Monday's radio show. The UFC is not in negotiations to have a weekly TV show on Comedy Central, but airing the infomercial on Comedy Central makes sense because the network does extremely well in the 18-to-49-year-old male demographic that is coveted by TV advertisers and is also the primary audience for MMA. Hosted by respected Showtime boxing analyst Al Bernstein, the 30-minute show will be called "From Spectacle to Sport" and will educate people about what MMA used to be and what it is today. It is not known if the infomercial will be mentioned by WWE announcers on Spike TV, but it certainly isn't out of the question given the UFC's friendly working relationship with the WWE. The air times for the "Spectacle to the Sport" show will be advertised in commercials that will air on numerous TV networks, including Fox, ESPN, and ESPN 2. Dana White also announced that the UFC is back on its way to pay-per-view in the United Kingdom. Though he couldn't reveal all of the details due to the fact that the deal isn't completely done yet, UFC 44 will be available on pay-per-view in London. Based on how well the London public responds to the event, the same British partner company will hopefully pick up future UFC events (starting with UFC 45) that would air throughout the UK on traditional PPV and also on closed-circuit TV in movie theaters. http://www.mmaweekly.com/this_week/news/3_tuesday.html

UFC on SPIKE TV ~ Informercial Style~
RavishingRickRudo replied to RavishingRickRudo's topic in General Wrestling
You should catch those UFC shows on the Sunshine network. They've shown some really great, acton-packed fights like Carter vs. Serra and Rizzo vs. Barnett (must-see's), and none of the fights that they show are boring. My only problem with them are that they need to be up-dated and don't really give the full scope of what the UFC is and was. Hopefully this thing on Spike TV will. UFC had a show on Fox Sports Net? I recall them showing a card (UFC 37.5 I believe) on the best damn sports... and hyping it up on said program, but I don't believe they had a show or a tv deal. -
The GP theme fucking rocked. WAY better than Family Ties, a bit better than Family Matters, owned Full House... Though it really started to suck once Kirk got self-righteous and became Jesus.

The Clique's one year title reign
RavishingRickRudo replied to Youth N Asia's topic in The WWE Folder
Steiner didn't lose his first match, he won it by DQ. And how come the brilliant HHH couldn't get out of the second match or get the career stip placed on the rematch? Afterall, he's been able to manipulate Goldberg and Steiner hasn't exactly been known for his smarts. Booker got his shot awarded by Austin which Goldberg probably could have gotten too if he wasn't such a dumb shit. I haven't really seen any indication of the WWE portraying Goldberg as a "dumb shit". You can say that HHH knows how to push Goldbergs buttons and Goldbergs confidence is enough to put his career on the line for the title... but then you'd have to say the same for Kane, Nash, Steiner, Booker, Shawn, RVD since they all supposedly want the title and have gotten the upperhand on HHH to give them enough confidence... Which wouldn't explain why HHH is only now pulling out the career stip I don't remember Kane getting another one-on-one title shot for a long time. Probably since he was so introverted, he reacted by just attacking HHH physically instead of getting a microphone and asking him for another title shot. See, that's the character development I was talking about. Ah, so this all naturally leads Kane wanting to fight in a casket match? Or how about Kane participating in Tag matches w/ HHH and holding the tag rope? Oh that Kane, always using his brawn and never his brains... gotta love character development. -

Thank GOD someone like Kane is intelligent enough to not be conned. Or that dark fellow who wasn't in his league... Book something.. you know, with the hair and the dancing... yeah, HHH sure thought a lot about him... So all those matches that happened after the title matches occured, that was... what? You know, with Booker and Steiner and Kane.. -

Of course it worked better.. RRR: Hey shawn! HBK: Hey RRR: All those bumps you took really worked better than those bumps Bret took, eh Shawn? He didn't have to fly all over the place to have a good match with Nash because he knew how to lay out a match and sell all those little things in a match rather - you know, like a great wrestler does... HBK: I guess so. RRR: Yeah, it kinda sucked that you fucked up your back and missed out on all those huge pay-jobs that came after WM 14. HBK: Um.. RRR: But hey, at least Nash has the respect from all the fans for being a monster right? Made all that bumpin worth while. HBK: Sure. RRR: Yeah. Nice talkin to ya Shawn. HBK: Jesus be with you. -

It could be said in 3 minutes, but it wouldn't have the same effect. The fans would feel cheated by it being so short, and it would be forgotten by the time the show was over. Ok, then you say 3 more minutes worth of material that helps build the feud. NOT add in 10 minutes of worthless chatter. Everything they say should be relevant, anything less is wasting time. If you remember back in '98/'99 almost every show started off with an in-ring promo. I've often thought it was a major thing that's been missing from the current product. Go back and read what you wrote here. Then check the date.
