I don't really know that much about Edwards' lawyer past, but those who do make it sound like he was at least fighting a good cause. I know the huge massive record-breaking settlement he got was in the case of a young girl who was sitting on a pool drain and and her intestines sucked out of her ass. If that happened to me, I'd want a bunch of money, too.

This reminds me of a story I read in 2001, about how an Australian man managed to fight and kill a burglar armed with an illegal gun only because he had a Japanese samurai sword and had been trained in how to use it. So the ban didn't do anything to keep the robber from getting the gun, but the person being invaded had to resort to a samurai sword to protect himself.

You know who supports Kerry? Klingons. I never trusted those bastards.... And I never will.

LOOK OUT! INCOMING SELECTIVE SERVICE APPLICATIONS! RETREAT~!

I'm always mixed on this issue because I'm liberal but also live in a family with guns. I see them first and foremost as a hunting tool, then as something that can defend yourself if need be. That's the vision I support in regards to firearms. I don't approve of guns that are specifically for the use of killing people. I don't support cop killer bullets or saturday night specials. I also think it's fine to profile people who own guns. I don't mind violating the constitution if it means convicted violent criminals and mentally unstable people are kept away from the guns. Other than that, arm away.

Georgia has the worst voting system in the US
Jobber of the Week replied to Rob E Dangerously's topic in Current Events
All the problems in Florida was related to registration and the ballot design. Computers have been able to add together all the numbers from Column A and all the numbers from Column B since spreadsheets were invented. Good enough for government work. -
Guess who's made more posts in this thread than anyone else by a wide margin?
-
Keep in mind that you post in more threads here than I do. And start more threads, too.

Georgia has the worst voting system in the US

Why in the hell would you need a recount in the case of a computer? "Oh yeah, we're going to have a recount because we're not sure if the CPU was capable of adding numbers correctly." -
My favorite part of the thread was when it was conservatives just responding to other conservatives to try and top each other with a Kerry crack. It was like a whole debate amongst people that agree with each other.

She's a Republican Kamui. "This obscure web page nobody's ever heard of states that 29,000 American children died because their families could not afford to pay Bill Clinton's taxes."

IIiiiii can do anyyyyythiiiing... In a book, something something, a Reading Rainbooowwwwwww... I think the point Starvenger and others are missing is that they're being openly mocked, on a wrestling board. That should really give you a clue as to how low into dweebdom we're talking here. But like I said before, I could imagine "Hey guys, remember when we watched _____?" discussions of the topic, but people this old watching new episodes? Virgin 4 Life.

Just be thankful the thing's on life support as it is. When you're pulling people back from 12 years ago because it turned out their lives didn't go anywhere after the show, you've reached a lower low than every Borg episode of Star Trek combined. I can understand the nostalgic "Oh hey remember this?" level, but this is some pretty Kamui-level shit here. Somebody go make liberal flamebait posts in CE, quick! Take it from a guy who casually enjoyed it in the days of bad overdubs and the same 2 minute footage of the Mecha-Godzilla crawling out of the lake to fight the giant sea tortise or whatever the monster is. Some of you people are certifiably insane. That, plus this show is responsible for turning Saturday Morning into a marathon of anime and imported shows. I'm still pretty pissed about that turning point.

I know I'm late to the party, but....

Sorry, Mike. I lean on the Rove guess, but while I'm not to deny any possibility that this was liberal-stirred muckety-muck, I refuse to believe this was actually brought up by the Kerry camp. Why would they want to forge documents and do such a bad job, espcially on such a non-story?

LOL Someones on Buckingham Palace balcony

Like most things in life, this smells like oppertunity for Adobe Photoshop. Shit, man, don't fall! -
The amount of people who care about all this crap from thirty years ago is spiraling downward. I hope this isn't true, but I've never believed any Drudge exclusives (which to me always equates "this is such a hot potato that nobody with credibilty will pick it up"), and I'm not going to begin believing them now.

Worse than Test vs Steiner?

Worse than Taker vs Giant Gonzales? Really?

That's how I feel, but I also think they should provide healthy food at basement prices. When I was in public school, the most popular item on the cafeteria menu was (ugh) a big paper container full of fries, because it was cheap and simple.

Also from the first post link: (large, streaming string of profanity here)

You'd probably never have expected him to plant his own bug in the day, either. It just seems shitty enough. It also does the damage of making people automatically suspect of military reports acquired by news organizations. Regardless, I'm curious that Rather is taking one for the team in interviews. Who's he trying to protect?
-
It's in the first post of the friggin' thread.

So Jobber is pro-necro?... No, I say if they care that much, they should let the people vote on it. This is GUBERNATORIAL ACTIVISM~! that circumvents the will of the people.

I don't remember that. Kerry started doing better around the time the VP pick rumoring started getting thick, F9/11 came out (although one can say the backlash probably hurt Kerry as much as the movie helped him), and Bush's economic policy looked terrible with Dept of Labor guidelines about overtime that was practically theft and constantly revised downwards economic growth numbers.
