Democrats, Republicans condemn 'Kerry/bin Laden'
Jobber of the Week replied to Rob E Dangerously's topic in Current Events
How's about this one? Maybe it'll be less controversial. -
Huh? It's on the front page of CNN.com, too.

Wondered how long before we got to that. *yawn*

I'm just feeling sad for you over here because appearantly you're from DC.

I tend to trust the Newsweek, WashPost, and Zogby polls and so far it's pretty even. Gallup I gave up on after that stupid morality acceptable/unacceptable thing inspired me to look into them harder and they do seem to have a conservative bent.

Arnold: Democrat lawmakers are "girlie men"
Jobber of the Week replied to Jobber of the Week's topic in Current Events
I agree with what JMA just said, but I do think if he's going to constantly go to voters when encountering gridlock, he's got to be honest. The "girlie-men" remark was made out of humor and a reference to an old SNL sketch, but he shouldn't have to be telling us about Terminators and pulling choice lines out of his film career now that he's elected. All this does is confuse the issue and make him look like a cartoon character instead of a Governor. I'm a pretty politically-aware person. And right now I know that these guys are holding up the budget, but over what? Arnold isn't saying, or if he is the message is lost behind Hanz & Franz and movie quotes. The normal people, the casual crowd who pays more attention to the Laci Peterson trial than the state budget, is going to know even less. -
Popick is a fucking tool.

LOLLING OUT LOUD the game sucks, suprise! Buy ESPN 2005 not Madden plz thx. -
My Dad was an Independent but turned Republican after Reagan inspired him into doing so. He never talks about politics to others, although I've managed to pull that out of him since we both think Bush II is the biggest liar to arrive in politics in some time

I want a Steiner vs Bill Clinton debate. Each man has 10 minutes and one woman under the desk. And "GreatOne," it's not that you need to leave the WWE folder or get out, it's that in this forum we don't care about your political view and how big a Republican you are, sigs aside. When you started bitching about Moore here in the WWE forum, it was out of place. That's all.

Hey you're talking to "let's stop talking about Florida" number uno over here. It went to SCOTUS as it should have, they made a decision, life goes on. I'm just countering Mike's comment that Fox made the right call. They didn't. Nobody called that it was going to the Supreme Court, but also it wasn't a right call because Gore got more votes anyway.

Hey, dude. He was making a joke. Jesus christ, remember Moore is an entertainer and TAKE IT TO CE if you care to be that serious when talking about him (although we'll still all just talk about how fat he is.)

Gray: Drivers licenses for illegal immigrants and 500 million other things. Cruz: Illegal campaign contributions. Camejo: Why are we calling these people illegal? They're part of our family! McClintock: Oh holy shit, no. Huffington: "YOU STOOPID HUMMMMAHHH!!!" -
Can anyone remind me who these posters are? Because I think it was only the finge crowd, ex. Hunger4Unger
-
You almost say this like Bush got the most votes.

I didn't mean trouble as in bankruptcy or scandalous sized trouble. I mean it in the "the honeymoon is over" sort of way. This is the sign that the bipartisan "uniter not a divider" motto is over, and it'll be interesting to see how things progress. -
Can we give this one a quick kill? I mean, it's a CynicalProfit poll thread. It cries out for the embrace of death.

WWE 24/7 should be like the NFL Network....
Jobber of the Week replied to Kizzo's topic in The WWE Folder
No, they don't. Both satelite providers need to launch way more satellites to be able to get the kind of coverage cable is doing locally. This is why for 5 years now DirecTV's HD offerings have been the same national channels (Discovery HD, HDNet) and now they've recently added CBS, but it's not your local CBS in HD like I'm currently getting with Comcast. it's Los Angeles' CBS or some such bull. The satellite companies compressed the hell out of their picture (DTV is pretty ugly now compared to when we first subscribed in the mid 90s) to be able to fit all these standard definition local channels and provide them nationwide. HD is just going to be a huge headache and DTV has been waiting for this additional sat to launch for ages now. I own an HDTV and use it daily. You don't have to get elementary with me here. Converter boxes will eventually be available, which is how "old" TVs are supposed to keep watching TV on that constantly delayed date when the government takes all the airwaves bandwith back and everything is all-digital. I'm talking down the road. PPV would be a good first step. Which is exactly why I suggested using PPVs. None of Spike's other programming would be in HD, so a channel at this point is a waste. -
Vyce, I wasn't responding to you, so I really don't have anything to say to that. I was talking to Slam, who was endorsing that the new democracy employ the same tactics that the Taliban used to try and supress the Northern Alliance.

Jadakiss Releases Controversial New Song
Jobber of the Week replied to Hogan Made Wrestling's topic in Music
Let's not take this into the political "Bush knew/Bush did what he could" arguement, please. Take that to CE. Oh yeah. You know all the conservatives are listening to this guy already. Although, I do hope someday the media will stop biting on O'Reilly's boycotts. -
Amusingly but predictably, the NYT, LAT, WPost, NBC, CBS, and ABC are well older than FNC and posting every memo from their origin would be.. Well, tough. The only competitor listed that's anywhere near the same age is MSNBC. Those memos that everyone's talking about are pretty funny, too. Here's some choice quotes from them:

No. That didn't start until after the Invasion PPV and everything got fucked up to hell. After Vince bought WCW but prior to pulling the trigger on the angle (during the period where Shane was talking about how WCW would be coming Real Soon Now), WWF asked Viacom for a timeslow for a show and was denied. After this, they considered giving WCW the Raw timeslot and this was quite widely reported out there, until it became obvious crowds were not going to approve of this roster. Then the WCW Raw idea was scrapped, and the Excess time slot appeared, after the Invasion had already started.

Welcome to the American fascination with scandal. If it bleeds, it leads. Laci Peterson is the new Monica, which was the new OJ, which was the new 1994 figure skating scandal, and so on. We like to latch onto our crimes and milk them in every possible direction for everything they're worth. Even the abortion crowd has jumped on this for oppertunity.
