I'm hardly one for mudslinging, but she kinda sorta needs her asshole torn to shreds over this one. It's just a shitty thing to say. What's really stupid is watching the Mayor of NYC, who used to do a pretty good job of trying to connect with the community, acted like he did not know what a community organizer was. And then, at the height of shittyness, he put down large cities as elitist and snobbish. NYC needs to revoke this guy's card to ever cross the Hudson again.

It's like they don't realize that people in small towns make fun of the fact that little goes on in small towns. Corner Gas is one of the most popular sitcoms in Canada, and it's a show where a dude from Saskatchewan makes fun of the fact that nothing really important ever happens in a parody of his hometown.

The good news is she is playing attack dog. This means that Biden can go full-contact on her and not have to worry about looking like a misogynist picking on the poor confused girl.

Palin is the only person who can get away with "drill baby drill" in this room, since she's the only one who wants the drills in her area. You bet all these rich folks in the audience would shit NIMBY bricks if the drills set up in their backyards.

She's talking about Saudi Arabia and Venezuela like she's trying on a new pair of loafers. OH SHIT SHE JUST DEVIATED FROM MCCAIN'S POSITION ON DRILLING (off-coast, not ANWR)

Hot. Honestly, if I was coaching her, and I say this if I wanted them to knock it out of the park even though I don't, she should do something like "if they want a fight (lets hair down) we're ready for it." It's an empty gesture, but it's the kind of gesture only a woman can really pull off so they might as well take advantage of the unique weapon they've got.

Let me tell you why I'm inexperienced. I had no intention to get into politics!

I thought earlier today she'd cry during the speech, but now I think she's going to let her hair down part of the way through.

Parents should choose where their children go to school, causing children to have to long-haul 3 hour bus rides to school to go to the "best school" that starts having problems teaching when it's full of students from all over the region!!

You have to be actually present to vote 'present.'

Ne-gro! Ne-gro! Ne-gro! This is the GOP at it's most raw, elemental form. At it's core, it's a bunch of terrible people using megachurches and people's best intentions to vote against their own self-interest.

Rudy, four years ago you nearly caused MSG to collapse under the weight of your bile. You'd probably do it again if it weren't for Romney topping you. HOLY SHIT is Rudy Freakin' Giuliani attacking Obama on military experience?

Palin has been picked raw, they seem to be trying to get the media to keep picking at it. They seem to be gambling that if they keep it up, the GOP can get people to believe The Big Lie about the media and gain sympathy votes. They are trying to re-frame the election into a referendum on the media, because they've been making it a referendum on Obama thus far and that's been causing them to lose. On the other hand, there's enough chance that if you goad the media they'll actually do their jobs and report on things like how she left Wasilla $20 million in debt. That the McCain proxy went nuclear about a National Enquirer story caused some to believe the campaign is making bad stories about her to complain about the press.

You're looking at her RE-election. Incumbents have an advantage in our system, ya know.

http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/683/ In 1996, she ran for mayor of Wasilla and unseated the incumbent by a vote of 617 to 413, according to press reports.

"She talks about issues like and the environment." It's not whether or not she talks about the environment, it's what she's saying.

Huckabee: Palin won more votes than Biden's presidential run. Uh, Palin got 617 votes, Biden got 651. Except, you know, it's wrong.

Romney representing the richest and whitest elements of America. What the fuck, it's like he decided if he couldn't get the White House for his time as Governor, he might as well piss on all of it. Oh, Huckabee, you say disagreeable things just so well by golly.

Yeah. The Usual Gang of Neocons at somewhere else think I'm a chauvinist for calling her out as a goddamn creationist. Even though I'd do that to a man. Or that I think the family is being used excessively as a prop, which I'd also do to a man.

^ I'm just being a cheeky goofball, dude. Mitt Romney, tonight: "Just like you, there has never been a day when I was not proud to be an American." Obama, press release: "Mitt Romney’s attack on a candidate’s wife is as pathetic as his failed presidential campaign."
