I don't get the people who aren't into cosplay but enjoy it anyway. HELLO!? So many beautiful female designs have been ruined by so much cellulite. There used to be an entire site of horrible, horrible cosplay. Seems it's not around anymore. Pity.

Thank you for proving exactly what I said about gun control. When ____ is outlawed, only outlaws will have _____.

Kerry/Democrat Economic Proposals...
Jobber of the Week replied to AndrewTS's topic in Current Events
This is my man, he's made of straw. Nobody is going to "outlaw" outsourcing, but companies are getting tax breaks by making themselves less and less of an American company. Perhaps it should be the other way around? -
That'll be as effective as similar methods of gun control.

Hatch is always the guy introducing these horrible, horrible bills. INVEST IN AMERICA BUY A CONGRESSMAN

Heh, okay, that was pretty obscure. I thought about it myself, but the only thing I could come up with is "Get your hands off me, you damn dirty apes." But considering the people being spoken to, uh, "were" apes, at least as far as movieland goes, that one's actually legitimate.

Obviously a Photoshop if you just squint and look hard.

And this is coming from a guy who's seen the Nick Berg thing so don't you tell me about how more Americans need to see beheadings to understand the terrorists, because I've already seen one, and I still disagree. I can't believe the thing has gotten this much hype and nobody has made clear mention of this.

We've lost focus in this thread so I'm going to make an attempt to right it after doing so much to take it off track: I'm not saying we need to be sensative to killers, and I never said Mike was a racist or that I ever thought he was. I was saying he's using it's as a derogatory comment when it's history as a derogatory statement is based in race. I imagine he's using the word not to be racist, but to get attention. Back to our debate. Appearantly, the leader of Al-Qaeda in Saudi Arabia is dead.

If you're more interested in Velvet Revolver, PBS' Frontline did a show on the sad state of the music industry, and you can watch the entire thing legally through the online WMV streaming on their site here. Just try to skip or ignore the parts about that one guy's daughter who's being manufactured into yet another Avril Lavigne. The end of the episode they mentioned that Revolver took off while he teen pop act crashed and burned, which I guess is a small victory for good music. Still, I was never into GnR, but I'm kind of glad to see Axl's now getting his just desserts.

WWE News: Test, Steiner, HBK, Ace, More

Hooray for Tajiri and his, uh, little guys. I remember how depressing it was when he took time off after their last attempt to start a family resulted in a miscarriage. -
Small Country Considering Banning WWE Shows
Jobber of the Week replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in The WWE Folder
Well shit, there goes all the money from that long Bhutan tour that was supposed to draw huge. -
Stern should have just completely hot-seated the guy. So what if it winds up being so humiliating that WWE tells them they aren't sending any more wrestlers? Wrestling is on the way out of America's public conciousness and Vince McMahon needs the media more than the media needs Vince McMahon.' The internet didn't screw Bradshaw. Bradshaw screwed Bradshaw.

Let's play, "Guess Who Said That?" ROUND ONE:

Again, using derogatory words with a racist meaning isn't necessarily exclusive to racist statements. You're still dredging up it's origins if you call a white man the infamous n-word in a derogatory manner. Mike, let's see you put your money where your mouth is and reference a time when someone else called someone monkeys as a derogatory statement without racist overtones.
-
A racist term doesn't need to be used racially to still be hate speech.
-
Whatever, Mike. You completely ignored what I'm saying, which it doesn't matter if your intentions aren't race-based. I'm sorry to keep coming in this thread after I made a post above saying I was basically withdrawing myself from it. My contention is that Mike is an arrogant bully, a liar, and wrong. The only reason I'm posting to say that is that I think people should know that he disputes proven fact and information just to avoid admitting when he is wrong, and I think CE readers should read his posts from that perspective. I am well aware that Mike will respond to this with either verbal assaults or a feigned claim of innocence, neither of which would bother me because I can't stand him and insults from him mean very little because I hold him in such miniscule esteem. He's belligerent, but he's not being effective at it because he's so blind and predictable. I guess what I expect is a response that looks like you're proving me wrong but is a thinly-veiled attempt to change the subject. Bring it on, although I hope none of the people here are stupid enough to believe you. Dance like you've never danced before, Mike. Your reputation is on the line here.

So if I sit and call him a kike, not because he's Jewish, but because he disagrees with me and therefore I feel the need to call him that, and anyone from any religion or race or country could be a kike because they disagree with me regardless of their background? That somehow ignores that I'm using derogatory language in a derogatory fashion? I'd hope not.

It speaks for itself. A prisoner captured in act of war. Now, either these wars we're going on aren't real wars, or terrorism really isn't the act of war we keep repeating to ourselves that it is, or...?

Yes, that's nice, but it doesn't work on all SERVs, only the ones that use the default interface provided in mIRC. The ones that have menus or tell you to open folders by it's number or letting association (say typing in "1a" instead of "cd files") it'll toss it's cookies and not know what to do.

It's a reference to a book passage that was altered and expanded when they edited it to not offend American audiences:
