Bada bing! And it's not like he didn't have his chances. He could have taken a solid lead with his State of the Union speech, but the only thing that got noticed from that was a warning about steroid use. The NASA/Mars thing was underwhelming and his "Meet The Press" interview offered nothing except that he's sure he fulfilled all his National Guard duties. The gay marriage thing nearly backfired with gay marriage detractors shying away from such an extreme move as a constitutional amendment. He needs traction, and wrapping himself in 9/11 Americana and over-the-top jingoism is simply what's there. USA! USA! USA!

Actually, we've had this conversation before, and that's not true. Here is my source:

Mike, I think if you look at the situation clearly you'll come to a similar opinion here: I have no problem with the ads mentioning the attacks, talking about the war on terror, using a picture of Osama, whatever. I also have no problem with 9/11 footage appearing on TV. I've even gone as far as to agree with people who have said that seeing it on TV more often would keep events in perspective for the general population. But I think it is in poor taste and form to use media of a national tragedy and a man's funeral for political purposes.

Except that from today on, the match builds up. With what happens last night, he'd need 60-70% of the states at play, etc. I thought it was bad form to not wait until Georgia and Minnesota were counted and leave at the immediate news of Ohio, but after those returns it became kind of obvious.

Can I mention that I love how this is being booked? It's nice to see SOMEONE being able to fuck with Stone Cold's head a little bit for once, and about two or three years too late in coming.

I wonder if Bill is going to deny boycotting Anheuser like he did Pepsi in 6 months? Revisionist history ahoy...

Don't make me eat you That post works just as well with either the Vader or the Arnold avatars.

... Why not? Talk about getting something out of your tax dollar. They can delay that proposed highway extension. I want this.

Strange Predictions about WrestleMania XX
Jobber of the Week replied to ChrisMWaters's topic in No Holds Barred
A woman actually shows her breasts in the T&A match. Vince McMahon has no on-air role on the show. Someone drives a vehicle and it doesn't stall or run out of gas. An idiot jumps over the rail and gets involved to "immortalize" himself. Possibly related with the first prediction. -
You really gotta wonder how prestigious your "Hall Of Fame" really is when you actually have to pay Pete Rose money to make him want to be inducted in it.

The latest version of CounterStrike is 1.6 and runs on a network called Steam, which is kind of like a more up to date version of Half-Life merged with an AIM-style buddy list and automatic updates. The installer for Steam itself is like half a meg but the actual game files have to be downloaded and are huge. If you want, here's a download with both Steam and everything needed to play C-S in one file, but it's almost 380MB. You're going to have to have a friend with a fast connection download it and put it on CD for you.

Do you care who wins the Presidential Election?

Kerry is more slanted to free trade than Edwards is or Dean was. -

Well, that would be suprising news to George W Bush. And probably so would the "Kerry served" thing. -

Well, black people can drink at the fountains, too. They just have to drink at their own "coloreds" fountain. -

Simple, and a reason we've been debating gay marriage: Tax breaks. The government would have no way of stopping a polygamy marriage involving dozens, maybe hundreds, of people who all get "married" into one family so that they all can pay less taxes. Trust me, when it comes to taxes, the government suddently cares not about the Constitution anymore. -
Potential Problem for Somebody about Something

I want to mention that this was actually Kerry's reply at a debate. He effectively claimed that he was being accused of casting liberal votes in votes where he actually didn't vote at all. I'm not going to doubt the Journal, but I doubt mainstream voters read it and care. -
Sorry, they just seem so similar that they got confused. I hope you understand. I applaud you for also recognizing this bullshit on both sides, instead of preaching it with blinders on.

Attitudes like this are NOT helping. Since all Halliburton discussions in this forum have been eschewed with this running gag actual allegations of fraud have appeared. There is more reason to be skeptical of Halliburton than there was back when we first started saying "LOL CHENEY HAS CONNECTIONS" -

FACT: Want to get people to vote against gay marraige? Masquerade it as an amendment to keep your state from having to recognize other states' marriages instead. Fact: So they opposed gay marriage. -=Mike Read what I just said, jackass. Marriage always was man/woman in the law. The measure that was voted on came not because California wanted to take a position on gay marriage, but on the subject that they would have to recognize ANOTHER STATE'S gay marriage.
