Leave Jeff and Bradshaw jokes at the door please.
Jobber of the Week replied to AndrewTS's topic in The WWE Folder
Hey, I remember when Matt & Jeff wore bright pastel colors. Jeff actually seemed LESS gay at that point, actually. He just looked like a bigger Shannon Moore instead of a paint & hankie freak. -
Man, Mike. You're on a roll. Usually you keep the Clinton accusations light enough where I have to actually weigh the possibilities of it being fact, but tonight. Man. So much stuff is being dumped on him that it's clear you're playing Six Degrees Of Bill Clinton. Anyhow, about that vaccine thing, Clinton ALSO created a large stockpile of vaccines during that time. If you remember a few years ago when the media was playing up a scare of smallpox vaccine and whether there was enough, it would have been worse if Clinton hadn't done that.

I've been hearing it since the mid-90s. I've heard it fron other Conservatives about each other, but can't remember anyone using it to describe themselves. No. Nobody who revives Reaganomics should be called a liberal of any sort.

Well, he was wearing black tights at Invasion, so are you saying his career ended before he entered the WWE?

Ref bumps used to be about brutal stuff like chair shots and the like, and now pushing a 180lb person into a ref is likely to knock them out for two minutes. I never understood that. Ref bumps do work, though. But they require you to be emotionally interested in who wins the match and WWE just isn't able to put that kind of effort into their matches nowadays. An example of a ref bump working would be the first Rock/Hogan. An example of a ref bump not working would be the second Rock/Hogan.

I love this. Yeah, I thought that was kind of simple thinking, too. However, the big divisive issue from Bush IS war. Bush is a divider on whether you think we should go to war on the basis that the President simply wants to, or on the basis that there's clear and present evidence that there's no alternative. I gotta say I don't have a lot of love for Neoconservatives and the "let's just battle whoever we want to battle because we have a big and advanced military and nobody's going to try and stop us" thinking. When used with good intentions (which is what I believe Bush is trying to do) it further brings us into the role of "the world's policeman," something that angers Americans and foreigners alike. If used for evil intentions, it basically opens the doors for a militaristic idealogue interested in domination. And, pardon me if for painting a lot of people with a wide brush, but I think a large amount of today's Right would have difficulties identifying the latter if one actually appeared.

Iraq has had indoor plumbing for a while now. As do other countries. The problem is class, none of this stuff gets to the majority. If you were born in the right family, you could have a house in Saudi Arabia that's the size of my local high school. If you aren't, well, prepare to live poorly. PS: I liked Enduring Freedom more than Infinite Justice anyway. The older name made it sound like we were just going to go out and kill because we were angry. The second name at least had that "we will move on but always remember" style rhetoric to it.

You don't see Kidman much probably because he never fully recovered from that knee injury when he botched his own finisher. This means, of course, that he is prime material for "Evolution."

WWE Films Considering Movie For Austin
Jobber of the Week replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in The WWE Folder
Yeah, but Vince failing is hilarious, and as a fan of b-movies I'm looking forward to this. Don't think it can top Plan 9, but surely they can crank out a classic stinker out of this whole mess. If Vince really wanted to see this work, he needs to step away from it and let other people who know what they're doing handle it. It could make him good money if he kept his name in the small print. -
WWE Films Considering Movie For Austin
Jobber of the Week replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in The WWE Folder
How about a romance movie that goes horribly wrong as Austin beats on his lover as the credits roll? Why in the hell won't WWE Films take full advantage of some of their lesser stars? Big Show's best trait is his talking and mind for improvisational jokes, and a really, REALLY big guy with a trait for humor could work gold in comedy films. -
I have to make a statement which is not a passionately-fought rebuttal as it is a slight disagreement of how you've thought things through. The Middle East is one of the oldest human civilizations ever. Our country has been around over 200 years now, and we've fought everyone from Britain to Germany to Japan to Russia in that time. And for the most part, the Middle East is mostly sitting around quiety. The point I'm trying to make is, we've been around the hill a time or two ourselves, but this "America must die at any cost" attitude is fairly new.

But weeks after he did that, he cut Education funding. It's how they go about it that's changed. And no, the Act's powers have been excercised in cases that have nothing to do with terrorism, don't buy the "we'll just use this against terrorists" line. A few months ago, Patriot Act powers were exercised in a case against a Las Vegas strip club owner.

Apparently GTA is worse than Child Molestation
Jobber of the Week replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in Current Events
I rented Child Molestation, and I thought it was pretty good, although I was disappointed that it was short and not very hard. -
In other words, "PLEASE don't add this to WrestleCrap until we've made some money out of it!"

Getting Nash's "wrestling" for 600 grand is actually a bargain when you consider he's paying over twice that for Goldberg's "wrestling."

Fot those who were too tired to read Marney's post, here's a one-sentence summary: Other candidates, Rush Limbaugh's brother, and the WSJ opinion page do not like Howard Dean. I am shocked, SHOCKED, to find gambling in here!

Almanacs, the books of terroristic doom!
Jobber of the Week replied to Rob E Dangerously's topic in Current Events
Sorry if I'm a little more concerned about "The Anarchist's Cookbook" than "The Farmer's Almanac." -
Hey, somebody finally got it. Sticking a communications tower on a building doesn't exactly express somber memorial.

Report: Al Qaeda Targeting Ocean Liners

Ever wonder if Al-Qaeda just sits around and discusses attacks purely to be overheard and make the news? -
Almanacs, the books of terroristic doom!
Jobber of the Week replied to Rob E Dangerously's topic in Current Events
"Look at this! Bomb! Just like home." "Really? Could you annotate it?" I think I can see where this is going. I await the alerrt informing us that all terrorists seen thus far have been wearing pants, and to be vigilant when around anyone wearing pants. -

The REAL Story On Kurt Angle's Neck
Jobber of the Week replied to ChrisMWaters's topic in The WWE Folder
If he was really going to go away, he could at least job clean or submit for someone in the midcard. One more Benoit/Angle match where Benoit actually wins clean could do wonders. -
Actually, the REAL ending would be that Bischoff would run in and help Vince, and Cole and guest commentator Tony Schiavone would talk about how it's the greatest sight in the sport. Then it would be revealed that Bischoff and McMahon have been working together since 1992 to get back at the other McMahon's and that the Monday Night Wars was all a big work.
