You think people who get upset about this will hand their votes to Bush? He seems much more willing to preach in public.

    Goldberg's Future in Question

He's been booked like a strong, capable dude who everyone wants to knock off the block. He hasn't been booked like an unstoppable monster force with God Mode because that's stupid. It exploited the gullibility of WCW fans that they could buy what was going on in front of them. McMahon is a mark for big musclebound hosses, and gives a push to every Batista, Matt Morgan, and Big Show that walks through the door. We've talked so much before about how he's blind with admiration for the big guys that guys like Jericho and Benoit suffer. Even McMahon is underwhelmed with Goldberg. The man who has put Mabel and Mark F'n Henry in main events, is shocked by the lack of workrate. And when it comes to mic work, even Nash was a better hire. And his downside (which was considered absurdly high when the NWO entered) was about half of Goldberg's.

    Movies or WWE? HHH discusses.

Better actor than Vin Diesel. Let him go, Vince.

Kurt Angle's Full Time Career Over

Needs a little Meltzer in here, or at least a WWE.com article (they've always been pretty honest about Angle's neck after Mania although they trail the dirtsheets by a few days.)
  6. I'll have to agree that they shouldn't have aired this. The reason Austin was at the show was because the crowd didn't care. They've been overseas for MONTHS and they don't know what the fucking hell is going on now in the angles. They would probably have booed John Cena if someone wasn't probably raising an "APPLAUSE" sign off camera. Austin in the show made perfect sense for the people in the stands. It made no sense to the TV audience.
  7. Yeah, but I'd watch porno or go to a gentlemen's club for that kind of thing. The marquee says 'Wrestling.'

Limbaugh says his privacy is being violated

But the case is to see if he bought drugs from these doctors. To find out, they need to look at his records. Rush's own opinion isn't so much the problem (I'd be paranoid, too, if I were him) but his rambling that this is some sort of liberal plot against him. It totally makes him sound piss scared, especially if there's nothing credible to it. Like when someone suggested the Michael Jackson arrest was a race thing. Bitch, please. But it's not like Rush decided, in the interest of privacy, NOT to exploit the Clinton sex revelations for ratings, attention, press, and political advantage. This is what he's afraid might happen vis a vis his records.
  9. And yet the government is so concerned that female soldiers were wearing burqas among the public in Afghanistan. Time to find a new insult.
  10. Watching Cena vs Show. The troops were almost asleep until the ref bump.
  11. The women skank-off in a country where women are dressed in burqas and scarfs to the nines. How fucking offensive.

Top unintentionally funny moments of 2003

Goldberg's crap reactions at Backlash and Bad Blood. Vince McMahon throws a cane into a woman's face. Goldberg storms out of a hallway with another man inside. This one actually made me laugh harder than the broom closet because of the subtle innuendo involved.

Well, Drudge is linking to an article now. http://www.boston.com/dailyglobe2/359/nati...stianityP.shtml Nice that he's still maintaining the church/state seperation stuff in there.

The One & Only "Dean Using Religous Speech" thread

There's been a pretty well-documented interview with Bush Daddy from a certified reporter from an athiest-marketed newspaper. Do a search on Google for: bush "american atheists" To get a variety of pages about the subject. Basically, he said he wasn't too high on Atheism, which is kind of predictable. Then he said he didn't think you could be President without faith, which is approaching the line but certainly approved by voter trends towards atheists. Then he went and crossed it by saying he doesn't consider atheists to be citizens or patriots. A Bush campaign manager was then asked if maybe Bush realized that he was alienating himself with a minority, and the aide replied on the record as saying that the campaign officially doesn't care. Other than that and not finishing the job in Iraq, I can't really complain too hard about Bush Senior. He was more of a moderate than his son is.

The One & Only "Dean Using Religous Speech" thread

Is this technically a flip? I don't remember him ever being against religion, per se, although he didn't go as far to say that Athiests shouldn't be citizens like Bush Daddy did (and that comment was probably my biggest complaint with Bush Senior.) The big "hmm" issue is outcasting people of other faiths.

Limbaugh says his privacy is being violated

How did you even pull that out of your ass? What I'm saying is that the world needs to know about Limaugh's drug use just as much as it needed to know about Clinton's sex life. God knows Limbaugh wasn't above playing THAT one up. I don't wish him ill and I think he's entitled to his privacy as I am (although by being a figure of controversey you wilingly volunteer some of your privacy away) but you can't say there's no hypocracy here. Just looking at what Marney said should bring that clue to you.

Fury at Jacko visit to UK

So, is the Sun meant for stories so loony and blatantly right-wing that they didn't make it into the New York Post? Yeah, I mean, in three days, he could have sodomized half the 8-10 population.

    Alec Baldwin... Idiot

Never given them a dime. I had a relative that did, and I didn't have to do much homework to see that they weren't a shelter. I had little to no opinion of them before this thread, I just thought saying "If you're gullible, these people could convince you they're something that they're not!" does not an arguement make. Oh please. I'm pretty familiar with the animal groups as I'm from several generations of animal lovers that donate and received crap from these special interests (I don't, though I like my pets more than most people I know) and am thankful PETA wasn't a recipient. I have a special room for them in my own personal hell. The door is right next to the one marked "Bill O'Reilly."

Limbaugh says his privacy is being violated

I like how the Democrats are somehow connected in all this: "The Democrats in this country still cannot defeat me in the arena of political ideas, and so now they are trying to do so in the court of public opinion and the legal system. I guess it's payback time, and since I'm not running for office, they can't get to me that way."

WWE Considering Turning Matt Hardy Face

After debate Nader says considering president bid

http://www.cbc.ca/stories/2003/12/23/nader...er_greens031223 I guess he had so much fun screwing up the Democrats, he might decide to run Independant so he can screw up the Greens, too.

Soldier writes letter to Michael Moore

But if you aren't politically active, explaining the technicalities of Bowling will go over anyone's head and produce a "But it was a good message" response. It's not that hard to explain to someone "Michael Moore made a fake letter from Iraq."
