It seems most of these men have absolutely nothing to do with Saddam Hussein. They're poorly organized and are far from Al-Qaeda standards. Direct threat, my ass. Wow. This thread has REALLY brought out the bitterness in you. The left HATES anything that is good, apparently. -=Mike I want to make it clear. I'm HAPPY a ruthless dictator was put on the shelf. I think we can all unite behind that. I just don't 100% agree with the whole process. According to various news stories (though I can't seem to find an actual link right now), an official (not sure if military or Executive branch) said the $25 million bounty won't be paid out because the capture was brought on by interrogation intel. He said "We have saved the taxpayers $25 million." Hell, you know what they should do? They're just going to spend that money on something else anyway. So they should take that money and add it to Osama's $25 million bounty and put $50mil on his head. He's the reason we're out there anyway.

I hope you mean "Disliking gays and disliking government-aided same sex relationships aren't mutually exclusive." Because if you mean it in the other way, the stupid apologetic "Oh, I don't hate gay people, I just hate the fact that they're aroused by the same sex" shit that the likes of Falwell use when cornered with the arguement that their opinion excludes and divides, well, I just like to think you don't fall for that.

If it was anyone but Orton*, I swear, you guys would be bitching about Bait & Switch.

None of this shit matters. This stupid character is Gewirtz's favorite. He's not going anywhere, sadly. I think a gimmick change is high time due. -
All of them but Shawn looks like crap. Bret looks like Ozzy on steroids for some reason. I didn't even recognize the HHH one since it looks like it could be anybody (I had to look at the filename to see who it was.)

Public Schools Cannot Discriminate....

The funny thing is that your rather consistant participation in this thread proves otherwise. -
I support civil unions in our current situation. However, I'm also against banning gay marriage, as it may be a more desirable and plausible concept in future decades. Banning things that have no intention of happening anytime soon kind of scares me.

And all it took were 3,000+ innocent Iraqis and 455 (and counting) coalition troops!

As a guy who would sooner want Spike Dudley or Scotty 2 Hotty as World Champ over Goldberg, this is a good thing. I was hoping for Kane though.

Well, I was outside when he gave that speech today, so I just watched it. It sounded very Presidential, short and simple sentences that he could pull off without looking foolish. I have to hand it to him. It was all very good. Up until this very point: BULL. SHIT.

Please pay SPECIAL attention to the portion highlighted in bold. Thank you. http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?...MNG073LPRI1.DTL I think it's pretty obvious that the schools like these should go. The guy who claimed he was peaceful while surrounded with gun paraphenalia was the second greatest thing this year next to the Iraqi Information Minister.

Public Schools Cannot Discriminate....

The Bush administration has not even MENTIONED an amendment that I am aware of and definitely have not endorsed one. http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/20...20030730-1.html -
Well, in the great string of accomplishments it's.... It's the prize they went in for in the first place? They got the man they were looking for. It'll be interesting to see if they ever see the WMDs they told the rest of the world was the official reason to go in, or with Bush Daddy's old job done they just rebuilding and forget about the whole WMD thing.

I was wondering if Rumsfeld could technically be brought in as a witness. Mmm, a chance to post my favorite picture:

Public Schools Cannot Discriminate....

You damn well know that they exist. They proudly declare themselves the moral anchor of the Republican Party. They provide a lot of money to candidates to further their ideology into state or national agenda. Actually, it does allow straight kids to attend (Link: Admission (...) is voluntary and open to all, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion or physical abilities.) but the general arguement against it is that it's new-age segregation paid for by taxpayers. Most people seem to agree and I'll grudgingly accept that, too, although having been a kid who was taken advantage of all the time in school I can't avoid saying that I can see the need for such institutions in a private setting. That's a shame, then. It's unnecessary clutter for the constitution at the least, and federally-sanctioned inequality at the worst. I wish more of the "vast majority" cared about those things, even if it doesn't affect them. -

You'd think they'd leave a notice. Since the whole point is to keep the tree unchanged, not kill people. -

No, and I don't expect the vast majority of straight people to either. I assume they don't hate gays, but don't spend a lot of time thinking about them. But I care what the other minority, the fundie minority, are doing because it could impact me. See, although they're number-wise a minority, politically they have more power than this minority and are almost accepted by your majority. So all I ask is that when they start making headway against the gay minority through things like amendment bans to further their view, that the majority help out and say "that's not right." Just as I'd expect them to do in cases where the gays are moving in a direction that is counter to populist opinion (such as the gay high school.) -
This didn't warrant it's own thread. However, looking at some of the Republican sites I see, there's some really funny interpretation of liberal media bias. Someone said the guy on ABC announcing it this morning "looks like he's gone to a wake." I guess unless there's computer-generated confetti flying across the screen during the newscast, it's a sure sign of liberal bias.
