Muhammad guilty of murder in sniper slaying
Jobber of the Week replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in Current Events
Ah, another terrorist convicted. Good things, good things. -
What's up with someone who's only got 60 posts but been here since Feburary marking down when someone abandons some thread? I mean, it's nice and all, but it's weird to see someone with less than a 100 posts come in and start pointing back to history, much less talk without all the "dewd" crap we eventually have to work out of them. Are you this board's biggest lurker or something?
-
Maybe he can stop and say some rhetoric specifically for the UK-crowd and they'll feel better? "I want to thank you all for coming out here, you're the best crowd I've lied to yet." "*cheers*"

I was going to come in and talk about filibusters a bit and their role in the Senate, but this has almost nothing to do with the filibuster at all, just a whole bunch of memos that somehow made it to the Washington Times.

Huge ammounts of police swarming "Neverland"...
Jobber of the Week replied to Downhome's topic in Current Events
HHH will always go over and the Media Whore will always complain. These are the two constants in the universe. About MJ, I'll wait for the allegations to land on The Smoking Gun or something and then decide if I believe them. -
Perhaps we gave HHH to much credit....

The problem with Goldberg is that it's hard to tell if he's being held down because his character, besides his snorting and kickboxing and music, pretty much boils down to "he always wins." Goldberg is meant to be booked so strongly that he can appear to take on the whole damn roster at once, so if he jobs in a match where logic says he is outnumbered and/or overpowered, was that just the booker thinking with his brain and realizing there's no way one guy could take out a bunch of guys, or is it a burial? I don't consider it a burial unless he jobs clean to the Pedigree. I think we all know he'll be buried sooner or later though. The trick is to keep him going until WMXX for it. -
I don't understand how letting people watch PPV for free makes them money, sorry.

National Protest Day Against Hummers
Jobber of the Week replied to MarvinisaLunatic's topic in Current Events
Driving an H2 and telling people you drive a Hummer is like driving a Mercedes-Benz golf cart* at the club and telling all your friends you drove a Benz around. * Not sure if this exists, but Benz makes damn near everything in Germany. -
A whole bunch of people (not me, of course) have to apologize for going on about how Zach Gowan could have put NWA-TNA on the map and would have gained headlines everywhere. He wound up on our TV constantly for a brief while and got, two, mentions by the media? And now look at him. Even more people, however, owe me an apology for slobbering all over Gail Kim and bitching about OMG WHERE IS THE TALENTED NEWCOMER OF LADIES DIVISION GAIL KIM!?!? every week until she finally arrived and sucked the heat out of the whole building. I will apologize for saying Goldberg will get booed out of every building he competes in with WWE. That seems to have slowed, though I still believe he'll get murdered by the crowd if he fights Austin, Rock, Lesnar, or Undertaker. I'll also apologize for saying Glenn Jacobs was going to be a horrible actor and the mask protected his lack of charisma. He's got the crazy mental ward heel thing down.

How long ago did you start noticing this? My best guess is if it's recent maybe (maybe) System Restore could help or if it's been a while you might just have to reinstall Windows. However, if you don't want to try those drastic steps, the next best thing would be to run a spyware check like SpyBot and try loading that message board in another web browser (I would reccomend Mozilla Firebird because you can just UnZip it into one folder, no installer or anything, and just delete the folder when you're done. Although I like it myself and use it as my regular browser, it's easy uninstall makes it ideal for testing to see if it's an IE thing or something else)

Ah. I see what you mean. I thought you wanted to record from another source, such as a radio or TV. I'm sorry!

True or False with Nash and Angle
Jobber of the Week replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in The WWE Folder
In the match with HHH that ended with the DDT on the stage I thought he was paying more attention to selling, but maybe he was just exhausted, I don't know. I liked that match, though it mostly got shit on here. -
Okay, I've done something I find myself doing a lot lately, throwing a subject into Google News and reading some of the more credible articles that come out (and believe me, Google reports every wacky left and right wing site out there as news.) I understand what you guys are trying to say now. I don't exactly agree with it and I think you're just now pissed that it's happening to you, but I understand it. My big posting comparing what happened under Clinton to this has been removed, but I'm still curious what you guys consider never refusing a blue slip from a Judge's home state senator and thus never going to vote as being "beyond the Constitutional mandate for the Senate" or not.

Andre could also draw like nothing else and was the go-to guy for putting stiff hosses in their place. Two things that Gowan doesn't and two things that are badly needed in the business today. Am I the only one who imagines the sight of today's stiff motherfuckers like Bradshaw and Goldberg getting their just deserts like that? Maybe Mr. Spear&Jackhammer would protect his opponent a little more after waking up one morning in pain all over.

You are quite possibly the most delusional man this business has seen, and it has plenty. I can understand the Hogan appreciation and the Goldberg markdom (barely), but seriously, I think marks would be laughing at you by this point.

True or False with Nash and Angle
Jobber of the Week replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in The WWE Folder
Unless you consider faux-kickboxing to be a competitive sport, RVD is hardly an athlete at anything. I guess if I had to pick a sport for him, it'd be a gymnastics, but that's only a small part of his showman act and the cruiser bump machines are doing that better. When Hall was younger and clean, he could work a match. His selling was there although it was pretty goofy and I'm not saying he was Dynamite Kid or anything, but the pacing and flow was solid. By comparison, RVD is practically a burden on whoever he's wrestling with, and he's only recently paid any attention to selling. -
EDIT: Scroll down.

Fox News attempts to stage a Senate get-together

I have to admit that made me laugh. -
Bringing "this game is ghey" to the next level: So we got the woman on the left, who looks just like the last woman The usual "queer eye" reject on the right, which looks like Square raided Konami's Suikoden art or something. Fruity man has a lizard man behind him for some reason. Short shorts girl is surrounded by images of knights with pointy things, well that's kind of cool, and men riding chocobos. Again. And finally, we top it off with a logo which is actually bigger than the game title itself. I officially think it's time for me to simply give up following Final Fantasy.

Is it? http://www.azstarnet.com/star/Wed/31112Nse...natebuster.html Not really. Same shit, different pile. Add in that Clinton nominees were held up because Hatch was exploiting the blue slip and now that Republicans are fighting the filibuster with a filibuster of their own for publicity reasons and I don't understand where you see this moral high ground.
-
In the late 80s the Democrats didn't give hearing to one Reagan nominee, though, which is how I think the whole thing started. Around 60 guys were nixed by Republicans in Clinton's term: Some were refused a committee hearing. Others were never brought up for a vote because many GOP Senators simply stayed home. This is totally partisan and ugly politics, but the whining from both the Republican senators and those supporting them shows the whole "it's okay until it's my side suffering for it" sort of thing. If the shoe was on the other foot, I would not bitch about the Republicans not playing along like what happened in the 90s. I'd just be bitching about how stupid it is. However, I stll don't think legislating workaround is going to do. Especially if the Democrats win either the White House or the Senate in 2004 and the Republicans are going to find themselves staying home or filibustering.
-
K, look at this: Republicans prevent votes on 60 Clinton judges. Democrats angry. Democrats prevent votes on 4 Bush judges. Republicans angry. Now, all along I've never said one party was better than the other. Just that currently it's the Republicans who are looking like idiots crying about the injustice of it all.

Doesn't make it any better. Well, I wouldn't call Catholics a huge minority. Although the funny thing about that is Pryor, who allegedly can't keep his own faith out of his decisionmaking, was the one who prosecuted against Roy Moore and got him kicked off the judge's bench this week.
