Government grows by a million
Jobber of the Week replied to Jobber of the Week's topic in Current Events
And I said I wouldn't blame any President for increasing the amount of defense, except that there's just as much growth being made in the other areas, too. -
http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?t...storyID=3394324 So before anyone runs in and cries about how the military has to grow because of it's increased activity, I want to make note of the part that only about 50% of those jobs went to the defense department. I'm quite suprised it's piece of the pie is that small. Which really says more about those other departments than it does the military. Some conservatism.

Please give Fuck Goldberg a hard time and try to turn the crowd on him. Thanks.

That's not what I said. Most successful? Are you kidding? Nobody thought taking the place wouldn't be easy. The war on terror really begins now. Bodies and bills are piling up in Iraq. Every two-bit terrorist who wants to attack America does not even have to get a ride to our continent to do it as our men, our equipment, and our interests are over there and have been almost sitting ducks for months in a land where not everyone in the country unanimously wants to see them there. All this from a President who told us we wouldn't need UN help for this. All this from the Mr. Rumsfeld who could name the area where the WMD labs were supposed to be. And now there's, nothing much on the table really, and I'm sure everyone serving is just so proud of our non-plan! But then... http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml;j...storyID=3395122 Yep, successful..... REAL successful.

If you mean an underage child, you betcha, no matter how related or unrelated the adult may be.

Yeah. I'm sure all those 7.2's were from people who wanted to watch well planned-out wrestling matches with psychology and lots of submissions.

Unfortunately, I intentionally kept my emotions from dictating my beliefs when writing my first reply, but didn't do the same hours later when replying to Spicy. My original intention for a "incest bonus" on sentencing was because, like you, I don't think the government should be encouraging incest sex, but like the sodomy law situation, I don't think they should be breaking down bedroom doors and invading people's homes to stop it unless someone called 911 and cried rape. Looking at my discussion on emotional impact in hindsight, I really can't figure out why I posted that.
-
And that, right there, is why I want to see the guy gone. We need a Prez with a better understanding of how the military works. Emotional cries of "Bring it on!" work good for the public, but certainly our recent operations could have called for some more tact.

This thread is incredibly stupid. Whether Depp's worldview is ignorant, uneducated, whatever, it's still his opinion. Like if I said I think Bush isn't the proper man to lead this country. That can't be proven correct or false. It's just simply an opinion, a personal interpretation of what's going on.
-
But here's the million dollar question: Do you believe that it is honestly the government's job to control that kind of thing?
-
They might not believe it, but with enough circumstantial evidence, there's not a whole lot they can do to argue against it.
-
No it wouldn't. Incest rape is more traumatic than regular rape, but not a whole lot so. I know from the cases I've talked to personally, and I'm sure if a study was done it would reach the same conclusion.
-
Yeah, when your enemy is trying to ignite a war between the Islamic and Western worlds, it's an important thing to give him what he's aspiring for. Take that as a criticism of Bush's actions, but not a defense of Clinton's non-actions.
-
I've said previously (in the sodomy law thread, I believe) that I don't think the government should be regulating the activity in people's bedrooms. I stand by that. However, since so many incest cases are rape, I wouldn't object to a slightly stronger sentence being served if rape was declared, a case was started, and it was found to be incest.

Actually, all this hating has been quite new. I keep trying to remind people that we've been numero uno for well over a hundred years now and all this hate worldwide has generated muchly in the past few decades.
-
OH FUCK. SOMEONE HAS AN OPINION! LET"Z ROLL!!!~~~~~~
-
Does anyone have the German interview here? I've been avoiding the thread because I'm rather indifferent to the guy. I kind of doubt he'd make comments like that just out of the blue though. If he was asked of what he thought of the current situation in the US, that's different. I might be wrong, but I don't really think this is akin to the Dixie Chicks just suddently popping their political opinion in the middle of a performance.

Yeah, Jericho's the guy who's high school yearbook says he wants to be in a Christian rock band, but Shawn still gets slagged. In general, I think the people on this board really don't care for a wrestler's religion. However, I think Shawn gets flamed more than the rest or is accused of being hypocritical. It's a mix of: 1) His old life of hardcore parties and shit like the D-X stunts, and his sudden decision to "change" 2) Being a friend of HHH, a lightning rod of negativity here 3) Bret Hart marks These three above elements combine to form more pissant whining about Shawn than is really necessary.

Well, at least California doesn't have ALL the crazy people.

I can't stand Maxi myself, but that's because I know a Maxi Whore. The guy above who said Necrid suprises me. He's pretty much far from the greatest character. Even the console-specific characters can be better choices in battle most of the time. I use Random because I'm all hardcore gambling and shit, but I have a soft spot for Cervantes.

That's like saying if you want wrestling, you want WWE programming. Just because it's there and too many people like it doesn't make it good.

This big? Or maybe bigger? -
Oh bah, it's the "an injury can never be funny even in an ironic timing sort of way" crew again. Go back to bitching me out for laughing over the Nash quad tear.
-
Of course, the 1wrestling report is all sensationalized and shit. GEE THANKS DAVE IT IS A GOOD THING TO SEE YOU GOT A HANDLE ON THOSE POLITICS. Anyway, am I the only one who thinks it's funny this guy is suffering a groin injury this close to his honeymoon?
