It wouldn't have hurt if they hadn't filled it up with WCW guys. Austin shocked me, didn't see that one coming, but Christian? I think the ECW thing kind of ruined it a bit, too. They did good bringing in Dreamer and Van Dam, and it gave the WWF jobbers a chance to look like a threat, but if they had gone with Foley as ECW mouthpiece instead of Stephanie, they could have blown the roof off the place. We haven't seen a serious Mick heel turn in..... ???????? Instead, they had Foley referee matches. Feh.

Simple, the US title is taken from him by someone affiliated with the World Champ. Make it a clean pin to actually get the other guy over, too. Remember when Brock just stood at ringside and Rocky got caught in the Longest Crossface Struggle Ever because of the distraction?

EDIT: Nevermind. This thread shall endure, says I!

http://www.cnn.com/2003/WORLD/meast/08/18/...aman/index.html I think to know how legit this rocket launcher claim is we need to know the kind of equipment he was using. Although to truly prevent incidents like this again, we need to come up with some kind of uniform for media people in harm's way. And not just something easily duplicated like a big "TV" on the back, but somthing recognizable and detailed enough to tell that the guy in the loud outfit is a cameraman and not manning a rocket launcher.

A condensed history of it all is in the complaint report. Here's a copy courtesy of Faux News.

Think of the greater majority here. Alabama taxpayers, all across the state, are paying for Moore's little crusade here. Those daily fines for each day the monument sits in the courthouse are distributed among all the citizenship. The deadline passed two days ago, so it's $5,000 a day until the 27th, when it reaches $10,000 a day. If it's still there September 3rd, $20,000 a day. Do you truly think a majority of Alabamans all across the state are willing to incur these fees to keep the monument there? Do you think a majority are for this?

Well, see, I don't know how "Match Background" works, but I generally don't use official Feuds because it always results in someone unhappy. So I use a set of matches with no official "Feud" linking them together. That main event was just a throwaway, and Jericho is only supposed to be a transition champ, so. Eh... I found the perfect use for Vince's unusual overness, though. Talk show host.

Israeli tank blows away cameraman
Jobber of the Week replied to Jobber of the Week's topic in Current Events
In case you haven't noticed, I accidentally fucked up the thread title and wrote down Israeli tank and can't change the line. That section of the middle east really isn't involved in this. Sorry bout that, it's what happens when you have two radios and a TV running at once. -
And now, my impression of media whore Bill O'Reilly: SHUT UP. SHUT UP. TURN OFF HER MIC. SHUT UP. SHUT UP. I DON'T WANNA HEA... AW THAT'S BALONEY. SHUT UP. SHUT UP.

Because if I had my ass hauled into that courtroom, I feel like I am basically being told that my whole belief regarding the order of the universe is against some sort of code being held by the court. And let's not forget there's religious-based cases. Like the driver's license woman wanted to get a photo with a veil over her face. I'm sure there's a lot less stupid cases regarding religion than that one, but that shitty example is just what comes to mind since it's recent. Do you think she or the people from any example you want to bring up would get an equally fair trial from this guy as she would another court? I doubt it. But, we can rest somewhat easy, as this shithead got punked out of position:

How fucking lame. If that was the attitude we took with our country then only white men could vote today.

Unless you can go into the deserts and find the 10 commandment tablets, I'm going to have to call bullshit on that one there because you don't even know if they were ever even made. The only way we know that the 10 commandments even exist is through the Bible, a religious text adhering to ONE religion. The Bible could tell me that the grass is green but I'm not going to believe it until I go outside and check.
-
If the first commandment was removed, I wouldn't mind personally though I'm sure others would. As a general rule though, I like to keep Jesus away from the feds. He's a good guy and stuff, teaches some nice rules, but he shouldn't be representin' in the government. As for the meaning of legal history, he could have used something like the Magna Carta instead of something from the Bible. I still think he's just being a fundie, he's been an activist in flagrantly putting God back in everyone's face for a while now.

Ew.. Rey looks bad and Angle still looks like a child with downs, by what I've seen. I'm going to have to buy all three for various reasons. Plus, I'm a mark for any game with Safeco since it's the only show of note I'll probably ever be going to unless the moons align and a PPV comes to NoCal again.

No, he's right. Want to hit B and X? Bring up your index finger to try and hold it down. WTF? That's hardly ergonomic. Back with SNES I could at least plant my thumb in the middle of the thing and apply pressure at the sides. Cube controller is the second worst I've ever used, only beaten by almost the Sega 6-button, and just barely beating out all the other Sega controllers. (I'll disagree from EricMM though and say that I think the Xbox Type-S is the best. More games are going analog stick and having a stick in the primary position is better than the secondary positions like the Dual Shock)

So you don't generally like cruiserwieghts because they're small? This is the guy that posted: So... You know....

If you need to put Benoit over, then do it when Rocky faces the inevitable and decides he has to leave the ring. Rocky is all flash and no substance. Benoit is all substance but dead air when it comes to being a human being. I was F.B.ing that whole scenario last year but then they went and spent the "Hollywood Rock" gimmick on The Baldie Duo.

But that's the wrong guy being made. Only thing memorable that Kong got out of that match was that he gave himself a concussion with a blown spot. The title win was a real lame duck, but then again it seems that happens 9 out of 10 times the title is changed at Mania.

Gowan is now a huge heel with me. Thankfully, I'll never have to see his punk ass for a few weeks. Did anybody notice the guy making big thumbs down signals and jeering Zach behind Momma Gowan during the aisle walk had suddently disappeared by the time Zach reached his Mom? Hmmmm...

I thought Dames was supposed to be difficult to impress? I just got a 5 star match on my first PPV attempt, and I'm not the greatest player at this game. Kurt Angle vs Chris Jericho. Match Background: This match is for the WWE World title. The Match: Double arm suplex by Chris Jericho connects as Angle hits hard. Kurt Angle once again takes the advantage after blocking a few punches and connecting with some forearms. Kurt Angle connects with a HARD right hand, sending the opponent down to the mat again. Jericho reverses an irish whip...and Kurt Angle runs into the referee! BURNING HAMMER~! from Kurt Angle is executed with perfect brutally! Hooks the leg, but the referee is still out! Jericho pushes out of a Kurt Angle hold. THERE IT IS! A legdrop to the BACK OF THE HEAD! I swear, that makes any match just a little bit better. I don't mind telling you that every time I see it, that's for sure. Angle walks into a side slam. Think about how much talent it takes to side slam someone. Nash can do it. Hooks the leg for a two count. Tiger suplex on Angle. No Misawa references from me, I swear. Oh, dammit. Pinfall attempt: ONE...TWO...NO! I would have bought that as the finish! Jericho charges into the corner but EATS BOOT. Spinebuster by Kurt Angle. Cover, ONE...TWO...NO! I honestly thought that match was going to end right then and there. Angle walks into a drop toe hold. Eddie Guerrero comes running down the aisle with a chair! Jericho and Kurt Angle continue fighting, unaware of the intrusion. Eddie Guerrero slides in and blasts Kurt Angle with a chair to the head! Eddie climbs out of the ring, the damage done! Chris Jericho has Kurt Angle down on the canvas. Lion Sault!!! 1....2....3!! It's all over. Jericho and Eddie are beating the hell out of Kurt Angle! Brock Lesnar sprints down the aisle and slides into the ring! He goes toe-to-toe with Chris Jericho, exchanging punches! He goes down quickly though when Eddie clips the knee from behind! Jericho \ Eddie put the boots to Brock Lesnar, and leave him down on the canvas next to Kurt Angle. What a demolition! My Opinion: I don't do it often, but this match was EVERYTHING and a bag of chips... ***** baby!! (96 overall, 94 reaction, 99 quality)

At this point, no title win is going to help D.K. Angle is pretty new to being a mainstay in the main event picture (he usually dumps down to the midcard after 2 months.) This is no legendary matchup, although they work pretty well together with the amateur thing and all that. But fter making two title wins in the span of a year, they've ruined "the chase" of the championship for Lesnar more or less (except for the build to XIX, where the steamrolled over the whole Angle faction.) The only way to cement Kong into the history books is to have him go over some of the more famous names. I understand he can't be a full-time wrestler anymore, but it's time for Austin to "do business" as he said during his whiny runaway period and do the Ultimate Job in a well-booked feud. Cruiserweights, Hosses, and Babyfaces With No Personality are not going to add him to the list of signature attractions. I suspect I won't be seeing very much of this though, as it's starting to look like Fuck Goldberg might win the RAW title, in which case I stop watching and find something else to do until I hear that he jobs.

Are we talking about the plaque or the monument here? I'm guessing the plaque, but recognize they're two different things. The guy has clearly stated he's not going to theme it to "laws of ancient religions" by adding other religious texts or anything, he simply wants a large symbol of Christianity in the middle of it all. To make it worse, it's a symbol that specifically states This God > That God. The guy is a fundie. I personally would not mind him taking up his battles except this daily fine he's incurring is coming out of Alabama taxpayers instead of his personal wallet.

I don't love using the GameCube controller for anything, and fighting games is even worse.
