No suprise. I already said Vince and DK have no flow (not even as allied heels) and the show looked so bad I Watched C-SPAN instead. Al Gore > Vince
-
I love that finisher but it requires that someone give him a suplex for him to reverse it. It would seem from a markish point of view that if someone laid off the damn suplexes, he could never hit his finisher.
-
He got X-Pac hired. I was under the impression that most of Nash's career as a backstage force was in WCW. He didn't draw shit in the WWF, I can't imagine him forcing his way around backstage then, unless he simply had Undertaker Power (i.e. Vince is a mark for him because of his height, lets him do anything.)
-
Helms, although I haven't liked a single angle the guy's been involved, had the balls to step up and bitch out the Torch for that report on his site, and denies having anything political going on with Gerwitz backstage. As for the Crash thing, you're gonna hate me but I have to take Gerwitz's side. If I was a wrestling writer, no matter how good or bad, I wouldn't consider guys wearing nothing but shorts and boots coming up and chewing me out to be part of the job description. I know that someone getting fired over it would not make many friends in the company, but seriously, you respect me and treat me decent, and I'll listen to your complaint about character direction or whatever. I guess I could never work in WWE though. Shitheads like Fuck Goldberg who can angrily demand they be pushed harder and get away with it because of a contract clause would be the end of me.
-
Are you talking about the MSG Hug? Might as well toss Scott Hall in there too then.
-
While Rock was on Helldorado and campaigning for Fuck Goldberg, a report surfaced that he bought the rights to the character name, which is why Vince would wind up in the credits.
-
At the risk of sounding like Vince McMahon is posting here, Bret's biggest enemy is Bret. He made as much money as he could at WCW. Even if the company was thriving today, Fuck Goldberg made sure that he wouldn't be there to take part in it. Austin's leave was terrible. The guy's marital problems are well-documented, and now he's falling apart. My number one choice would be The Rock. Here's a guy that would have gotten lost in the college football scene, took a whole bunch of money from Vince and is taking off with a million dollar moniker and a movie career that puts him on the same podium of the likes of Stallone and Govanuh Ahnold. My second place goes to Undertaker. Even in these days were giants are no longer as awe-inspiring or amazing as they once were because the company has SO FUCKING MANY of them, UT has longer main event potential over all of them except Andre.

Well, since people want to know about the guy, let me be a little more helpful than Tyler was. =b http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?...08/MN175872.DTL There's also a few extra quotes of the bottom on issues like: Taxes: "I still believe in lower taxes -- and the power of the free market. I still believe in controlling government spending. If it's a bad program, let's get rid of it." Gays: "When it comes to sex, I don't give a s-- what anyone's trip is." Government: "I come from Austria, a socialist country. There you can hear 18-year- olds talking about their pension. . . . Individualism is incompatible with socialism. I felt I had to come to America where the government wasn't always breathing down your neck or standing on your shoes." Cloning: "At the moment, they're dealing with it by putting the religious spin on it. I understand that; there are some people who are religiously fanatic, that feel uncomfortable with it. But I think that's also a mistake." ---- Personally, I would be THERE for the guy if he'd talk about something economic besides special interest groups. We all know that the way to Governor eBay's heart is through special interest money, but so far there hasn't been a peep about budgeting other than "pump it up." He sounds like the kind of Republican I would like to see more often, and I'll mark his box if I can get some sort of assurance he'll do more than go to the Assembly and say "Hey guys, we gotta pump it up!"

Yeah man. It's not like all the songs about prostitution, drive-bys, gangs, drugs, as well as Eminem acting like a monkey in front of a camera for attention AREN'T disgracing hip hop!

There's a bigger problem than this. Ultimo's been around for a while. He's really not a fresh face for anyone who watched WCW. Vince already has Spanky and is getting Paul London and all signs point to him not doing JACK with either of them. I mean, what's the point? I don't mind the WWE style shit. It's kind of boring, but if you're familiar with the history of this company you'll know that it's nothing new and whining won't make it go away. We've seen this since Steamboat was told to slow it down for Hogan, folks. Any high flyer or technical wizard to get hired knows they're going to be facing this. The problem is that supposedly even VINCE knows that he needs to push younger guys, and he has all these guys sitting around on Velocity for the most part.

Not to rain on your parade but if you mean the proposition he backed last year, that was pretty flawed in how it listed no new source the money for those afterschool programs would come from. It passed, but the money is money that was originally going to go to other programs. Although I like afterschool programs, that was why I voted no on it. -
Your recall update for the day: http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?...1620EDT0668.DTL Well this is nice. This is the guy that, for those of you paying attention to the history of all this, threw millions at the recall campaign and turned it from some tiny grassroots effort into the giant whirlwind circus it is right now. He's also a bigass social conservative. The kind of conservative that could work in the rest of the country, but definitely not in California. You know, anti-gun control, anti-abortion, rumoredly anti-gay, etc. That just doesn't fly here. At the same time, Bustamante is the first big name to split away from the shakily united Davis front. It was only a matter of time. At least libs won't have a horrible idiot like Governor eBay as the only choice to represent their interest on the ballot.

Big Show held the "real" title for a month.

Yeah, of course, because everyone in every building has seen ECW before.

Arnold is a centerist. But the most vocal Republicans in Orange County aren't. That's the problem that's been tearing the California GOP apart. Half of the base wants to move in a center-leaning right direction and win some races for once. However, the other half is committed to the far/religious/extreme/whatever right, which has a lot of money and clout in our GOP. They want to keep putting Bill Simons out there to get slaughtered because it satisfies those who are writing the checks. Any Cali Republican who wants their party to succeed better hope Arnold wins and is successful because that's the only way we're going to have more than a one-party domination around here. -
I just wanted to make note that doing that insertion stuff can cause you infections at the least and some nasty stuff at the worst. In short, DON'T FUCKING DO THAT. Now, the commentary: IDRM: Aside from the Stupid Urethra Tricks (im' just going to wish I never clicked on that link), doesn't look that bad, but your angle makes it look smaller than it is probably. CoreyLazarus: Probably the most appealing in the thread so far IMO. The New Me: Perfectly average, which isn't bad, it just means I have nothing really special to write here. =/ Game: Looks nice, but it looks like you could stand to do some hair trimming.

Part of the problem with these secondary roles in government like Lt Governor, Insurance Comissioner, and whatever else, is that unles you are really really seriously into the state politics you have no idea who these people are and what they do. I can guarantee you that last election many election pens flailed randomly, voting along party lines. I suspect that we're suddently going to know a lot more detail about his record than the 5 o clock news or the paper ever told in a bit when the spinmeisters start up. Basically, the way things have gone is that Davis sits around being ignorant to all the problems and Feinstein and Bustamante try to clean up after him. In a previous thread I linked you to a story about how Davis could have averted the energy crisis if he was the least bit competant, and after we already had our pocketbooks emptied by the energy companies, Bustamante filed a civil suit alleging them of price fixing. Not sure how that went as the energy thing became rather ignored by the media after 9/11. Anyway, it's been more than a little obvious that Davis and Bustamante don't like each other, so it's not totally mind-blowing that he'd run. -
Maybe, but he says you have "potential." My World Title reign was erased from the books by his revisionist history! OMGWTFOHNO

I don't know what's more sad. The fact that we crashed, or the fact that I'm so bored that I've made 1,000 posts between June and now. Damnit, Triple Dames is holding me down to IC level!

If people don't like it or find it offensive, CHANGE THE CHANNEL or don't turn on your TV at all. Nobody complains about what UPN or Cartoon Network or Lifetime or whatever is running on December 7th or any other disasterous dates, just move on.
