I remember when they were using this song to promote HHH/Foley at Rumble 2000. That was really weird. Video was bleh. Production was pretty poor, but some of the opponents making gestures timed to his face hitting the mat was kind of funny.

When has he shown any decent acting chops on the mike? Between his checkered past, mediocore promos, and current pet project status, there's nothing to indicate Vince would try to promote Orton to producers as a big star. I think his promotion is limited to in the ring, where ANYBODY can get a push as long as they fit a vague profile. Undertaker cannot act and has an accent as thick as Austin's. But then again, Austin is acting too so eh. I guess I can picture Taker as your Generic Tough Guy in a movie fight scene as long as he's in the biker gear. I think you're misequating movies and wrestling here. Even Vince knows that nobody outside hardcore WWE fandom will pay money to see Jericho, Angle, or Orton in anything more than a bit part. As great a speaker as someone like Jericho is, for instance, he isn't going to be the next Rock.

Yes, but if you're cheap enough to buy a Mac Mini, there's no way in hell you can afford DVD Studio Pro, which is another $500. Aw, shit. I just figured it out. I forgot you wanted to make DVDs, because I always make Xvids and burn them to data DVDRs. Make the Huffyuv AVI, and then get TMPGenc Pro and DVD author. TMPGenc Pro will convert your file into a DVD-compatable MPEG, and DVD Author will add menus and burn it to DVD.

Since I'm going to the show, I'd kind of like to see Hogan in action VS an actual wrestler, but not in the main event spot. Not for a guy who pops in for one show, thank you. I know it's my fault for getting into wrestling too late, but there's some guys like Hogan, Flair, Austin, Rock, etc that everybody who's a fan should see work in person just once so that they can say they did. And I don't really call that stupid "200 years in the making" garbage brawl I saw two years ago to really be considered an actual match. 90% of it was McMahon bumping like a pinball while Hogan looked winded, and the crowd sat on their hands almost the whole time except for Piper & the big bumps.

I don't think anybody carried anybody in that segment. They simply had some decent chemistry and played off each other well. Some guys just get some element of personality working in promos when cutting it with certain other people. HHH's promos are a neverending stream of words rambled gutterally ad nauseum, but when working with Foley all of a sudden it's like a fire lights up under his ass. This doen't happen with Orton, Shawn, and most the other guys HHH promos with on a regular basis. Only problem was that until now Hassan was mostly shouting in the ring by himself or against people with little charisma themselves. Jericho was giving it more of a serious go than he usually does. I thought it was actually a good opener although I don't like the gimmick.

That nobody will buy a football game without NFL pro teams is a fault of the free market, not the NFL. Also, to GreatWhiteNope, the PlayMakers game has been in the works since VC had the license. I think the show is property of some other company, ESPN just broadcasts it.

Try using VirtualDub to capture video with that device if you can. If you want to make Divxes and stuff, the best route is to capture the video into a lossless codec like the free codec called Huffyuv. (google for more.) This records nearly flawless video at extremely huge file sizes. Back when I used Huffy as my recording codec, 30 minute programs were nearly 7GB in size. This requires having a big hard drive and more free space than you can find to fill up, but that's the way it is. Once you have the lossless file encoded, you can compress it into Xvid/Divx or whatever. Using these codecs while encoding is a bad idea, since I'd bet dollars to doughnuts your computer won't be able to compress as fast as it's recording, and the end result is a file with a lot of jumping due to missed frames.

Well, see, nobody bought the license previously because before VC owned it, Konami did, they shat on it by putting out shitty games that were basically Track & Field clones with ESPN's black/yellow/red color scheme in the menus. VC had gone ahead and done some pretty impressive stuff that took advantage of the ESPN likeness with 2K5 that people enjoyed, and now EA can take that and add those features to their own game since people will expect them with the ESPN name attatched. So basically, VC worked and worked to add some polish to the ESPN videogame brand, and EA swooped in and takes all the profits that will generate.

I don't know. I was reading that message, and I hadn't read his reply yet, and when I kept seeing 300 miles the only think I thought was "I guess 301 miles is just too far to go." Was kind of amused to see his response then.

Look, what CBS did by jumping on a story that with sources this weak was bad. But it's an absolutely preposterous "what if" to sit and bitch and moan about how they wouldn't do this with a Democrat. I'm curious about something, since I'm west coast and get to watch Raw alone in about 2 hours while all you East coasters and DirecTVers have all the fun with your one & only threads. Damn cable. How did Steve Austin tie into this? The original poster said they were promoting a press conference in Hollywood, probably for Mania. So, what did they say to make you think Austin has anything in this?

I don't think Madden will be ESPN-ized that much, people already like what they know. EA's other franchises aren't so strong, though. So games like NBA and NHL will gain some strength with casual players while Sega's Non-Football games look like crap in presentation.

ArcSoft PhotoMontage is the software I see most mentioned for doing this stuff. Haven't seen any others mentioned via Google yet. It seems to be pretty favorable for doing this, though, if you can find it. EDIT: Nevermind, that Photoshop link was some college thing. oops.

Generally people don't keep enough movies at a time on one computer to need a program like that. You probably can just get away by making some genre folders (Action, Comedy, Drama) and sticking the movie files in there.

Jesse's been heard in DVD extras for Hulk Still Rules and other discs. So, I don't know what the details of Jesse/Vince are, but that might blow holes in your nightmare.

I don't like Flay, either. And I miss Puck. However, just because I think Flay is a pompous idiot doesn't necessarily mean that his food tastes like a heaping pile of dirt and poo.

You guys and your pathetic burgers. The Double Six Dollar Burger destroys your measly burgers. It's not only super-fatteningly large, but the meat actually tastes different and better than most fast food burgers. So you don't mind that you're turning into Michael Moore because damn, this tastes different. Also, because I go to fast food way too much and know these things, the Double Quarter Pounder was first introduced in McDonald's "Burger of the Month" promotion that they were trying in the 90s.

I keep trying to see this show from time to time. But it's so absolutely cheesy between the dramatic music and the voiceovers making it sound like it's a bloodsport. It's two guys cooking, for christ sakes. This is the Food Network, not UFC.

I think the reason for the outrage is it's kind of appalling to see a guy who's in line for the throne, even if it's unlikely he'll get there, dressing up like one of the world's worst villains. Especially if that villain was a huge threat to the country he represents like Hitler was to the UK. However, since the royals are basically ineffective in British politics these days and they're never going back to true monarchy rule, it's not like it really matters in the long run or anything.

Well, I think it's kind of upsetting that we're holding guys who may not have even done anything, and that even guys that have done something aren't being charged and put through the system already.However, if you go to the countries many of these people come from and see how they treat women, or go see a ritual public beheading... Could we do things better? I think so. But, I don't know if you can really say with a straight face that the US is the leading threat to human rights.
