The OAO third and FINAL Presidential Debate Thread
Jobber of the Week replied to BUTT's topic in Current Events
It wasn't that he was trying to "out" Cheney's daughter. It's been pretty well covered that she's been pretty visible about it already. He also wasn't trying to attack Cheney for having a gay daughter, he was attacking Cheney for denying his daughter rights that he has. It was a shot to the character of the Vice President, not his daughter. -
He gently teased her by licking the areas around her most sensitive erogenous zone. Then he slipped her panties down her legs and, within seconds, his tongue was inside her, moving rapidly. --Bill O'Reilly , Those Who Trespass

How Amy Poehler got the Weekend Update gig.
Jobber of the Week replied to MDH257's topic in Television & Film
Eh, WU is WU. It hasn't been the same since Dennis & Norm left, and it never will be, I suspect. That was it's peak. The judge of quality for me, since I often sleep normal hours most of the year instead of these perverse hours (this post is being written at 4:03 in the morning) is the fake commercial. If the fake commercial is great, then I'm a happy camper. If the fake commercial sucks, I can go to bed early. -
Arnold? Speaking of which, one of the theaters here is going to be showing Going Upriver, Hijacking Catastrophe, Outfoxed (already seen it), Silver City, and "Uncovered: The War In Iraq" tomorrow. Whoo! Living here does have it's advantages.

I did not think Feminem had a ghetto pass in the first place. When your claim to fame is that you diss other people in your singles and then Clear Channel plays it to infinity and beyond, that's not really talent.

Worst. Debate. Ever. Bush was asked about the national guard and started going on about the global test. -
The OAO third and FINAL Presidential Debate Thread

Andy Card was such an idiot on MSNBC just a bit ago. "I hope we don't elect Presidents because of their flashy style during a debate, I hope we elect them because of their record." Uhm, Andy, by your logic, every incumbant running for re-election should win. And Reagan would have never won. -
I don't know where you got that idea. 9/11 is a part of the war on terror, which is (despite the President's spin) seperate from the War in Iraq.

RNC sends a 'cease & desist' to Rock the Vote

That book cracks me up. I imagine some woman saying: "Here, Timmy. Mommy and Daddy are too incompetant to be your parents. You just read this book and do what the man on the cover tells you, okay? He'll be a better parent than Mommy." Also, this is an extortion scheme? Has anyone read "Those Who Trespass?" O'Reilly's a pretty kinky guy.

Kind of hard to take it objectively when there's a Bush/Cheney link present in the bottom frame at all times. EDIT: WAR PROFITEERING!

Treasury Sec.: "Bush's economic failure is myth"
Jobber of the Week replied to Rob E Dangerously's topic in Current Events
Who appoints the Treasury Seceretary? That isn't a rhetorical questiron, I'm genuinely interested. -
I think this thread shows a lot more people are marks than they'd like to admit. HHH makes comments like these because it makes threads like this and it contributes to the subtle kaybabe pandering to the people who read dirtsheets and rile up Rocky fans since even the Average Wrestling Fan could figure out he's talking about Rock. Stop thinking everything's an inside shoot or jab.

Gee, Mr. CNBC, some of us don't have to tell our stock broker the proper name of the company so he doesn't get confused because, well, we don't have brokers. You can go back to watching Kudlow & Kramer now. WWE is probably also not happy that Viacom didn't give them all the TV time in the world with all the options for theme parks and cross-network promotion like they were promising up and down, too. At the same time, moving your show again after 3 years just seems unlikely. It's so common for people to simply forget and never find the program again.

I read the news from the region pretty readily and it seems like it still could go to anybody. Of course, there are people out there looking for a mini-Florida over there.

Rampant Lesbianism may not be going on in Oklahoma
Jobber of the Week replied to Rob E Dangerously's topic in Current Events
I actually wouldn't mind a date of the opposite gender. I'm just not going to have sex with them. Don't want sex with the same gender either. I just want a relationship that doesn't involve putting it in. BUT RAMPANT LESBIANISM RUINED IT ALL. -
I have seen bits & pieces of MMHA. I think Fahrenhype is the better movie. Fahrenhype tries to dispute Moore's points using credible (lol) sources like Ann Coulter. On the other hand, MMHA goes far far beyond that, and just tears into Moore personally and completely haterizes on the man and just makes a ton of attacks on him for committing heinous crimes like existing. If you want a rebuttal, watch Fahrenhype. If you want to spend money for what basically is a filmed "LOL MIKEY IS FAT" post, then watch MMHA.
-
Mike may actually be George W Bush, he likes the man THAT much. This was as blatantly right-wing and Moore's film was blatantly left-wing. I'd say watch neither and make up your own goddamn mind. As for entertainment value of each, Moore just barely wins because I got to watch right-wingers shouting at the screen about lies and bullying the crowd get kicked out of the theater.

Are there any CDRs/CDR-Ws that have more than 80,
Jobber of the Week replied to Steve J. Rogers's topic in Technology
If you're willing to spend, get one of those portable CD players that play MP3 audio. You can burn the CD as a data disc as MP3 files and have around 700 minutes of acceptable-sounding music. I don't mean one of those big decks, but a Walkman-sized device that you can plug into a stereo. It's the poor man's answer to iPod, so you should be able to find them at Circuit City or wherever. -
I guess you haven't noticed the 64-bit AMDs. Anyway, I think the poster paid too much. 1GB of RAM is sufficient unless you're using a dual Opteron, Xenon, or Mac G5. I would have put that money into a bigger LCD. Of course, if all you want to do is rip CDs into MP3s and use Word, you're covered until Office 2020 or so, that's a ton of power that's pretty much reserved for games and nothing but games for now. Even video processing, which is the other big task and one I do a lot of, I'd say that's more than enough power, and would have invested money into a few hard drives and a good RAID controller. I wouldn't say your computer is bad, I just wouldn't pay that much for that setup. I have the same CPU setup, with only 1GB of Ram but a GeForce 6800GT graphics card, and a odd hard drive setup that basically comes down to a RAID array and a backup drive for when Windows breaks apart. While I don't mind using it for gaming and applications that require a ton of disk space or power, I still prefer to use my four-year-old Mac instead.

When Bush needs a reason to invade a country, and the CIA can't fake up some good evidence, he turns to the Weapons Expector, who confidently expects to find illegal weapons in any country, from Australia to the Holy Nation Of WhatTheFuck.

Rampant Lesbianism may not be going on in Oklahoma
Jobber of the Week replied to Rob E Dangerously's topic in Current Events
I blame my inability to get a date in school on rampant lesbianism. -
I think it's kind of funny that all these "liberal biased" news sources are owned by conservatives. I mean, Disney? Come on, some years ago Roy Disney (the guy on the board that got kicked out early this year) made a comment that Mickey is "a good, Republican mouse."

You also would believe Dick Cheney is dead thanks to a CNN screwup a few years ago. They basically have prefab obituary pages for everyone. That's why the Queen Mum and Ronald Regan had the same memorial page design on CNN.com with the black background and the yellow text. See also: http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/cnnobit1.html
