FEDERAL funding. Again, California is considering granting funds for the research Bush wouldn't fund.

Nothing was banned, California is considering funding what Bush wouldn't, although I don't think we need another 9 billion in debt right now. He's getting mightily close to the "stem cell research = abortion" spin.

Small businesses don't pay much in taxes. Because they're small. Washington Post already owned that excuse after Cheney used it. Even the largest law firms count as a "small business" on that one.

Bush's plan is to increase the wetlands "by millions," but there's no word on what millions he's talking of, and how it'll be done.

The Torch is the kind of place that will take an obscure hint from anybody that probably isn't true and then report it as coming from "a source" (which is just barely technically true.) This is why, if you read the Torch, WM20 booking changed about three dozen times in the year before the show.
