Sounds good. A release date for the season 4 dvd would sound even better.

Seeing Mike Remlinger pitch reminded me of that old "This is Sportscenter" commercial with the kid anchor making fun of Jimmy Key. Jack Edwards: "Red Sox relief pitcher Mike Remlinger..." Kid: "Mike Remlinger! What's he like, 45?" *Edwards shaking his head* Kid: "Come on, I could hit him! Did you see the game last night? It sucked didn't it?"

When's the draft for the roto league?

Listening to ESPN radio this morning, they had an interview with Tim Kurkjian and asked him if it could ever happen that MLB would step in and disallow a division winner to make the postseason because of their record being under .500 (the NL Worst made this a discussion, obviously). Timmy K said no, this would never happen. It would certainly be interesting though. Padres win the west, but the wildcard runner up makes the playoffs and wins it all. That'd be controversial forever.

Chris, pm me with your email address. Anyone else who still wants one, pm me. I have too many due to a lot of gmail accounts.

Shields is a serviceable backup. As is Braithwaite. Cechmanek gets a bad rap, I think. Of course Dafoe seemingly played with a blindfold on most of the time. So you're telling me that you'd keep Belfour over signing Luongo? If you say 'yes', you're a crazy person.

Posting as 'che v' in the sports folder.

Must've missed that one.

I don't think they have room for him, do they? Emery is on his way, Prusek is there and Hasek could be good. Plus, they still need to reup Redden, Chara and Phillips.

I'm guessing that's Ottawa?

http://tsn.ca/nhl/news_story.asp?id=134524 Louie gets his arbitration. He rejects a 5/25 contract, and gets a 1/3.2. He'll be playing elsewhere next year. Another Max bold prediction: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v97/maxpower27/luongo.jpg

Fucking MOC. I'd make that trade given the chance, without a second thought.

Why does October matter, bob? We're talking about the playoffs. Playoffs?
-
How hasn't he? You said implying that Hossa isn't a playoff performer. I said You said Chris said You said Chris said You said I'd say Chris proved you wrong when he noted that 27 of his 34 playoff points were GTG, GAG or brought them within one or put them up two. You stated falsely that Hossa only scored when it didn't matter. However, when faced with the real numbers you're not admitting that you were wrong.

Tears for Fears, for the sole reason that one of the members looks like David Cross, from television's Mr. Show.

They also always wear black, which has always been my thing. Now everyone asks me if I'm emo because I have on black shorts, black shoes, black socks, a black shirt and a black hat. This makes me sad.

Look out Chris. You have a differing opinion, so he's going to shovel as much bullshit as he can to make you look wrong.

Wow. It appears I know nothing about this sport! smh knows more than anyone!

Your quote and my quip imply that there are hockey players who come to the arena without skates or have their jersey on inside out. Yashin was ready to play, he just wasn't ready to respond to the pressure that his skills demanded. WATCH HIM PLAY! For god's sake! He doesn't play the body, he skates in circles avoiding contact for most of the fucking game! He appears late to score a goal and appear to have done something! What is with this hard-on for Jason Arnott?! He's an AVERAGE player. At BEST. Calling him an underachiever is accurate, as is him mailing in half the season...if you WATCH HIM PLAY. So look them up. Fact is, I've watched him in the playoffs (since his second season) and he's been a constant threat. Especially in their last two appearances, when he saw the best that the opposition had to offer and still excelled. But I must be wrong, because I disagree with you, right? What if he doesn't want to come back? He'll be an RFA, but he'll be able to make more money elsewhere. He could be. Or he could be the same <80 points player. Hell, Richards has had more points in a season than Vinnie and Vinnie's making twice as much a year. Speaking as a Bruins fan, if you want John Grahame, you may have him.

You too can be Bob Huggins! Get as drunk as possible in as little amount of time and then get behind the wheel of a car!

Who's Kip? I'm going to guess Kiprusoff? Knab=Khabibulin? You need a spell checker or something. Or to type slower.

I disagree with your reasoning, since it revolves entirely around the fact that if Forsberg played without injuries in the 80's (which is really weird, considering that he was drafted in 1991) he'd be one of the greatest of all-time. I hate that line of reasoning. Hell, if Gretzky had played in the 70's more, he'd likely have 3000 points. It's great for "what if" sports, but not for effectively gauging a player's worth now. Forsberg is 32, has battled numerous injuries throughout his career, and will now be counted on to be the player he's capable of being. Do I think he's a great player? Absolutely. Arguably the best of my generation. But to say that he's going to be healthy, he's going to be motivated, he's going to be the best, he's going to be MVP is ludicrous. He has Gagne, Primeau, Kapanen and Knuble. That's a far cry from Sakic, Tanguay and Hejduk. Which was a full decade ago.
