Misconception 1: We saw the very best that Peter Forsberg could have given us. Had he not been so injury-prone and unlucky (seriously, a friggin spleen?), we could be talking him up as one of the top 10 greatest players ever. One of the best skilled power forwards of his generation and certainly one of the top ten players of this 90's and on generation, but I can't help but feel robbed. Misconception 2: Joe Dimaggio's 56 game hitting streak will be broken. There is only one player that I can think of who MIGHT be able to pull it off, and that's Ichiro, just because he can beat out infield hits and has gap power. Pete Rose and Paul Molitor came close...Rose was at 44 in 1978 and Molitor got to 39. Those are two of the better hitters of recent memory and THEY couldn't do it. With homeruns flying out of the park left and right now, Dimaggio's record now has an aura of invincibility to it.

Basically, Stern says that he's investigating it, but if Van Gundy had taken his concerns to Stern instead of making them public right away, there would have been no BIG DEAL. Plus, to imply that the playoffs are fixed...when each game is televised nationally and would be incredibly hard to rig, AND to say that you have proof of it, well, you'd better be damn sure.

Because Van Gundy attacked the league itself and insinuated that everyone was working against Yo and the Rockets. It'd be one thing if he said "It'd be great if we could get some calls in our favor", he would have gotten the usual 10K fine and it'd be done. I'd say on par with American fans, but, you know...

I usually just move. One of my favorites was with these stupid early-mid-teen girls at The Bourne Identity who did nothing but talk and play with their cell phones for the entire movie. I asked them politely to keep it down, to which they replied "Too bad" and got even louder. Eventually, some of their friends came in and the girls and these kids started running in and out of the theatre for whatever reason, so I tripped one of the girls as she was running out of the theatre. She started yelling at me about me tripping her, to which I replied "Too bad". The people sitting next to us got a big kick out of that. All the stupid people left after that. My favorite that I wasn't a part of, but got a big kick out of was at the Saw showing that me and the girlfriend went to. For whatever reason, there were a TON of twelve/thirteen year old kids there, chatting, yelling, etc.etc. This happened all during the previews and the guy sitting a few seats down from us was getting pretty pissed at the ones in the row in front of us (they were trying to toss candy in their mouths and kept hitting him, they talked loudly all through the previews, etc.) so he waited for a quiet, creepy part in the movie, when the kids were oblivious to everything around them, and grabbed two of them by the shoulder and screamed 'JIGSAW'S GOTCHA' Heh. Those kids left shortly after that.

Season 9 was the season that the show started losing it for me. Some pretty subpar episodes mixed with funny ones that had me finding other things to do on Sunday nights. Seasons 3-8 are my favorites.

He has to be harsh for everyone looking the other way for so long.

I hope the Red Sox win tonight. I got the B tattooed on my calf today, and want a win to go along with it.
