Best/Worst songs for commencments/senior sendoffs/
the max replied to Steve J. Rogers's topic in Music
Had the green day song for senior year. Had "Time After Time" for eighth grade. I actually like that song though, so it wasn't that bad. -
Yes and no. High school was awkward, crappy and otherwise years that I don't really remember. I didn't really talk much in high school (not that I'm a chatterbox now) and as a result, never really made many friends. The friends that I did make, I still keep in touch with but the rest of the people in my graduating class can go straight to hell. Senior year wasn't bad (had a car, thought I'd gotten an athletic scholarship to BC, etc) but not something that I'd like to repeat, even with the knowledge of stuff that I have now. The only time I really liked going to high school was during the winter, and that was because of hockey. My five year reunion is next year. I doubt I'll go because five year reunions are pointless. "Still poor and trying to make something of yourself?" "Yep. You too?" "Oh yeah." F-U-N. I might go to my 10th, but that's still six years away, so I'm not worried about it.

No, 17 is the most insignificant age ever. Happy b-day Tritec.

Why not subpoena Kevin Towers?

Baseball games in May and June may not seem like they matter, but when a team loses a pennant by four games, and it's traced back to a losing streak that they had in May/June, it becomes that much more important.

Bad Religion - Had a friend big into them, and they were always the soundtrack to our roadtrips. I never really got into them until I heard one of their worst songs ever (Sorrow) and went out to buy Stranger Than Fiction, Recipe For Hate, and The Gray Race and never really stopped listening to these three cd's. Coheed and Cambria - Heard "A Favorhouse Atlantic" on the radio, went out and bought both cd's. They've been in my rotation since. Pantera - Friend lent me Cowboys From Hell in the seventh grade and he never got the cd back. Got Far Beyond Driven and Vulgar Display of Power when they came out as well, pretty much stopped with those three cd's (not including the decent live one that they put out)

Lunchlady Doris is basically dead, as the woman who played her (Doris Grau) died in 1995.

Besides stuff at the baseball game I went to, I bought: I bought dinner at Ruby Tuesday.

Has nobody mentioned the Home Improvement when Brad got caught with the marywhanna?

Got back from the game a little bit ago. An enjoyable outing with good seats. A lot of non-fans there, which was amusing for a few reasons (a woman sitting behind us flinching and saying "GOD" everytime someone made contact with the damn ball.) but frustrating for other reasons (non-fans do little else than get up and go to the concession stands. The guy beside me had three lemonades, two cokes, and two bud lights...I'd hate to be him driving two hours to get home now...) On the bright, this meant that most of them were gone after five innings, meaning that we had the seats to ourselves (as well as the cool-ass souvenier cups and ice-cream-in-the-helmet-helmets...I got four souvenier cups and two helmets). The game was good, the starters stayed in longer than I expected (Manny played six, Thome played eight but he was DH'ing). Red Sox starter Jeremi Gonzalez (who I didn't even know they had signed) went two, giving way to Bhung-Yung Kim, who was lustily booed as he made his way to the mound. He then proceeded to give up a two hits and yield two walks (forcing in a run) before Wallace came out (to a huge cheer) to calm him down. There were quite a few Red Sox fans heckling Kim, some of them laugh outloud funny. "What city will you be playing your AA ball in this year?" [ball 2] "PAWTUCKET RHODE ISLAND" [ball 3] [ball 4] "ATTA GIRL" [ball 1] "You gonna throw 51 balls?" [strike 1] [crowd erupts in a mock cheer] I'll post my pictures later on. I got a few Phillies, since we were on their side of the field.

Got my tickets for this sunday: Phillies v. Red Sox as well as St. Patty's Day (GREEN HATS~!) against Los Marlins. For the Phillies, I have third row behind the Phighting Phils dugout, so any derogatory remarks that al or any other Phillies fan would like me to yell are more than welcome. I plan to take my digital and snap some pictures, especially if the Red Sox plan on wearing the green jerseys this year. Anyone else going to any ST games?

None in the area, but I'll do the surrounding areas. Marlins: Well, I don't really need to go into detail about this one. D-Rays: The type of owner that seemingly wakes up during the offseason and decides to bring in overpriced veteran talent. Thankfully, it's been stopped after the Greg Vaughn debacle. Seems committed to making a winning team, unfortunately for him his team plays in the same division as the Red Sox and the Yankees. Panthers: I don't even know who owns them, quite honestly. Bolts: Good owner, I guess.

Leavin' for Panama City FL on Friday
the max replied to UseTheSledgehammerUh's topic in No Holds Barred
Yep. Whatever you do, stay away from SW Florida this time of the year. Not only is it Spring Training for two teams in Ft. Myers, but the amount of tourists coming to see the hot springs in North Port, the sights in Sanibel, etc.etc. has made traffic an impossibility. Bonita Springs was all but shut down last night during rush hour, as it took me a full two-and-a-half hours to get from North Naples to Fort Myers, a drive that will normally take forty minutes tops. Fucking tourists. -
"Lindsay" claims that she saw Jessica Simpson doing coke in a club, and then starts on with a story about Mark McGrath's cash n' prizes before the file starts screaming I LOVE GAY PORN...I'M WATCHING GAY PORN RIGHT NOW...I HATE MY JOB BECAUSE I LOVE WATCHING GAY PORN.

Pretty much all of Vince Vaughn's lines in "Swingers" and "Made" are money, baby.

Hey, I work for the Lottery.

I meant jeer the Phighting Phils. I don't know enough about any of them and my insults are usually pretty lame as it is.

I have a disturbing mix of "Bostonian" and "southern" going on with my accent now.

The OAO 77th Annual Academy Awards Thread
the max replied to CBright7831's topic in Television & Film
It'd be funny if one of the presenters was all "And the winner is...Lord of the Rings" for one of the awards, just to see people's reactions. -
My PS2 squeaks as it is reading the disc. Meaning that during my games of nine inning baseball, all I hear is: squeaksqueaksqueakSQUEAKSQUEAKsqueaksqueak...etc.etc. Not good times.

I'm wondering how many times Jericholic is going to use that stupid "There are two kinds of people..." quote that nobody agrees with. There are at least five that I can recall off the top of my head.
