Passionate here in FLA on both ESPN and FOX's radio stations. ESPN has a morning show that discusses football signings over baseball in the summertime. FOX has a morning show devoted entirely to the Bucs (who I guess didn't fare so great this past season as they're talking about how each person can effect the team next year.)

I keep waking up in the middle of the night and don't know if I'm seeing the same commercials on rerun or if they're pimping this show THAT much. Poor Michael Madsen.

I've only heard Rome's show on a limited basis (when I'm upstate in Tampa, I get that sports channel rather than ESPN in my hometown). I like the emails that get sent in from "celebrities". Those are usually funny. The calls are terrible. Rome going on monologues about nothing is usually pretty bad. I heard the show after the national championship (when oklahoma got raped) and he spent at least twenty painful minutes ragging on Ashley Simpson. Normally, I'd be laughing, but it wasn't funny in the least. His interviews leave a lot to be desired because he's too busy blowing the interviewee for coming on the air that he rarely gets around to asking a good question. At least with the Dan Patrick show, if he's already gotten what he wants out of the interview, he'll spin it into some wild area (the Zito/Mulder interview, where they discussed their strategies for picking up chicks). The issue I have with Rome is that he takes himself WAY too seriously.

I like Dan Lebatard, but only on the radio. He does a weekly call in on my local ESPN radio affiliate (he's their big star guest), and he can actually be kind of funny sometimes. I won't be watching this show though.

I said this about ten minutes into the premiere. She and Old Man Heller will be about to escape, when BAM, she shoots him in the back of the head. It has to happen that way because there's no way Jack can have the hots for a THIRD weak woman. They've already had Teri and Kate, two of the least liked characters in the show's history (and least liked for the wrong reason).

Driscoll ordering LAPD away will be found out and exploited by Jack.

Not for p.c. Hollywood. They usually rely on the right-wing militia groups. ... 24 is HARDLY PC. I'm recalling the first season's opener that featured an airline disaster just weeks after 9/11. And even when they could have easily used that stereotype in Season 1 (trying to kill a Black Presidential character) they didn't. they went with something far more interesting and satisfying. For the record, the airplane explosion had already been filmed, the episode already put together before 9-11 happened...as it is, the show was delayed as a result and there were no more comments about the explosion in the rest of the season (save for a few quick lines about it). And I fail to see the issue here with Muslims being involved with a fictional television show's attempt to be a touch more realistic. There's only so many times that they could turn to Europe to find their main villain (Drazen, Man on Boat, Amador/Saunders).

MLB - Yanks, mostly for their fans. Braves...I have nothing against them I guess, but I find myself rooting against them more often than not...I respect Bobby Cox and Leo Mazzone for being arguably the best coaching tandem in baseball. NHL - Leafs, Habs, Rangers, Flyers, Stars (for the non-goal that won them the Cup against Buffalo)

Red Sox, Bruins: Lived in Massachusetts for 18 years and love baseball and hockey. Marlins: Get most of their games on FSN, they've become my national league team. Panthers: Roberto Luongo, they're the team I get the most of their games on FSN.

Chloe's trusting, since she trusted Jack with Andrew's life. Driscoll is a hardass, a manipulative hardass. Sarah is stupid, I already don't like her. Marianne is annoying already in a character that already appeared in season 2 (Carrie...Michelle's arch-nemesis)

It's not the first time that Jack has been right over a dept. head. First hour of the first season, he blackmailed Mason into telling him the source on the Palmer hit. It's steamrolled from there. I don't think it'll be the last time either. It's only a matter of time before Driscoll's weakness is exploited by Jack (it's his habit...first with the Drazens in season 1, then with George in season 2, and he did the same thing with Saunders in season 3.) and he gets her into an uncomfortable situation where he's given carte blanche to do whatever he pleases.

If this is how this season is going to be, I'm on board. In season three, neither Tony nor Jack were in charge of each other.

I hope Beltran gets booed big time in Houston. He gave up playing for a good, playoff ready team for an extra 14 million dollars? Can't wait for him to complain in the middle of May when the Mets are already mathematically eliminated.
