The ALCS: New York Yankees vs. Boston Red Sox

Massachusetts as a state > New York. But that's just stupid comparisons that don't belong in a baseball thread.

The ALCS: New York Yankees vs. Boston Red Sox

http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story...=simmons/041014 The series has just devolved into a nightmare for Red Sox fans. The Red Sox lost the one guy that was the "in" to the World Series. The one guy that was what the Yanks wanted but couldn't get. And now the offense is letting Jon fucking Lieber throw six pitch innings and is getting three hit in an ALCS by a guy that was once traded for Brant fucking Brown.

    NHL Off-Season Thread...

I'm really fucking bored, so I looked up the players currently playing in Europe. Have a look see at some of these lineups. This is from TSN, since ESPN doesn't care. NHLers Playing in Europe During the Lockout, courtesy IIHF North America's loss is definitely Europe's gain with the NHL lockout. Over 180 NHL players have signed deals to play in European leagues, including Vancouver Canucks captain Markus Naslund agreeing to skate with Modo of the Swedish league. Modo is building a powerhouse, also signing Canucks twins Daniel and Henrik Sedin, Niklas Sundstrom of the Montreal Canadiens, Pierre Hedin of the Toronto Maple Leafs and superstar Peter Forsberg of the Colorado Avalanche. While the majority of the NHL players have lockout clauses that permit them to return to North America if and when the labour impasse is over, Forsberg has indicated he will play the entire season with Modo. Simpsons 5th Season on DVD December 21st

There's an older episode when Bart becomes a bartender for the Mob. Bart the Murderer (#8F03) 10 Oct 1991 After having a very lousy day of school, Bart accidentally stumbles into `The Legitimate Businessman Social Club', a mobster front. He becomes a bartender, but when he shows up late at work and blames Principal Skinner, Skinner disappears. Joe Mantegna and Neil Patrick Harris guest star. It's from season 3.

I do as well. But when al gets so desperate to prove that Jeter sucks that he starts nitpicking his every move, it overtakes anything I say. I think its pretty clear my posts are in jest. Jeter is a very good player. He's just overhyped. Come on al. We all know that there's no joking when it comes to the Yanks. In fact, we should all be wearing suits right now to celebrate their win.

The ALCS: New York Yankees vs. Boston Red Sox

I've been thinking the same thing. Not to sound cocky as well, but game 2 in Anaheim had all the makings of a Red Sox collapse, but they tacked onto the lead and won. Game 3 is a game that they'd normally lose, but they won. Something just seems different this year.

    SNL last night..

People rag on the show because they don't like it anymore. They expect to be able to tune in and find something enjoyable to watch. The pathetic SNL fanboys are the only ones who like it anymore and for good reason. The show is fucking terrible now, bob. And I know that you'll call me "misinformed" because I don't go to dress rehersals and stalk members of the cast, but I've watched the show and formed an opinion of it. The writing sucks, most of the cast is terrible, and the show is just unwatchable now.
