Oh, I've wanted to punch you on numerous occasions. Cosby's comedy has impacted generations (I still maintain that 'Bill Cosby: Himself' is the funniest thing that I've ever seen in my life.) and he's been a very successful sitcom star, with one of the most influential shows in history. Julia Roberts has done movies...she's the biggest actress because there's really nobody else that's been around as consistantly as she has. That does not make her better than Bill Cosby by any means.

Find out when that supposed guy in charge will be back in, go in and yell at him. I'd pull the "I refuse to pay for a loaner while I'm using it, since this is CompUSA's fault...I'm not leaving this store until I'm satisfied as a customer" After this is over, report them to the BBB too.

I'm so tired of the Buckner clip. Yet, I know that it's only getting started, as FOX will play it for no reason during the MLB Playoffs. "That groundball to first was eeriely reminiscent of a certain play in the World Series" *play clip of ball going through Buckner's legs* ARGH

That was a terribly officiated game between Boston and Oakland. Manny didn't make that catch, it seemed obvious to me. I fail to see how he only "riled up the crowd more" by simply throwing a ball into the stands after they'd gotten the third out. Apparently the fan whipped it back at him. I fail to see how it was Manny's fault. It's the ump's fault. Kotsay's play I could see coming once Mientkiewicz came to bat. Kotsay should have been thrown out for acting like a baby about it, but I can understand why he wasn't (The ump blew the call and wouldn't have been justified throwing out the guy that got pissed about it.) I don't know what Byrnes problem was after Kapler made that excellent catch in right. That wasn't a doubt, as Kapler had control the entire time, yet Byrnes stood at second like a moron.

Julia Roberts over Bill Cosby? I want to punch you now more than ever.

If A-Rod gets suspended for getting slapped by Fairitek. Yeah, because A-Rod didn't attack Tek back or anything... Kapler was just standing there, but Sturtze went fucking insane.
-
Still, it lets me see the action so that I can have a better idea of what's going on in the tournament.
-
Why would either guy be suspended in the first place? Wasn't Kapler attacked by Tanyon "Hulkamania" Sturtze? He should be suspended for that?
-
I hated Kapler at the beginning of the season, but I'm fine with him now. At least he keeps a good attitude about not starting all the time, he gives them very good defense in right field with good speed on the bases. I fail to see the humor in the situation, as Kapler was originally expected to be a bench player, a defensive replacement in the late innings, but with Trot's injury, he's had more playing time and has done fairly well. No earth-shattering numbers, but it's not expected of him.

I'm not paranoid about it at all. Let him rest now that the Red Sox have Roberts. It gives Roberts some playing time to get comfortable, it gives Kapler some playing time to repay him for everything he's done this year, and it gives Jesus some time off to heal before the big stretch.

Red Sox v. A's should be a good series.

I think it's school starting back up and the people still in college/high school are busy lately

Pop quiz: Who played in the World Series in 1949? What color are your girlfriend's eyes? Good column, btw.

I went Friday the 13th, when the storm hit, to Tuesday the 17th, when it finally came back on.

Good thing people have those football flags

Did you get the storm head on, or just the outer bands of it? We got the outer bands and only ended up with about 40-50 mph wind and 15 minutes of rain. -

You're near Jacksonville, right Inc? -
I did the same thing last month, only it was involuntary as I had lost power because of Hurricane Charley.

I can't imagine that Colorado is any worse in the ESPN game than they are in the EA NHL series. If Sakic or Forsberg so much as get a shot within the slot, it's a goal. No exceptions. Forsberg lit me up for 7 goals once...in one period
-
I hate ESPN for not carrying either game. God forbid we miss COLLEGE FOOTBALL!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want to move to Canada.

Steve Stone would make sarcastic comments until Alou's head exploded.

Promiscuous TĀ®ITEC = Ratings.

The Rangers make the game more interesting than it should have been, but the Red Sox hold on to win 6-5. They won 9/10 on the homestand, and now go to Oakland for three games. Arroyo v. Zito tomorrow Lowe v. Redman tuesday Pedro v. Hudson wednesday Then it's on to Seattle, where they hope to hold off Ichiro. I'd like to see them take 2/3 from Oakland (Hudson will be a tough win) and sweep Seattle.

Gabe Kapler with a two RBI single in the last of the 7th to put the Red Sox up 6-1. Schill is on cruise control right now. 9K/0BB going to the top of the 8th.
-
Michael Young goes on a rawhide joyride, and it's 3-1 Red Sox.
-
Schilling is perfect through 3 with his pitch count in the low 20's, while his opponent Ryan Drese is around the 75 pitch mark. Red Sox up 3-0 going into the top of the 4th.
