McFarlane News: Cooperstown Collection 2 announced
the max replied to the max's topic in Video Games
I saw a lot of them when they came out, but they've since dwindled. -
Just announcements of who will be in the series so far, no pictures as of yet, but it looks like a great series. So, it looks to be a good series, with a surprising Babe Ruth figure on the way. Mays and Schmidt belong definitely. Ripken, I'm very surprised to see in this series already and Stargell and Hunter are surprises as well.

Personally, I think it's a ploy in order to get their way in the negotiations.

Didn't the computer come with a CD for Photo Impression?

Sports Night is a show that has no middle ground. Either people appreciated that it wasn't really a comedy but found a very dry humor in dramatic situations or they despise the show. I like it, and think it's worth a few viewings.

Red Sox win again, 5-1. It was a close game until the last of the 7th, when they touched Jamie Walker for a few hits and three runs to put the game out of reach. I wasn't very confident with Ramiro Mendoza coming in, even with the four run lead, but he still got it done. Bill Mueller was on base four times, and Manny was up and around on his leg, being his normal, odd self. I hope to see him back tomorrow.

Gratci. Surprisingly enough, that webpage didn't load for me at first...

Where may I obtain this Shareaza? Even Soulseek is crapping out on me lately.

I already think the Giants are done, as Bonds and Schmidt can only carry them so far. As supposedly bad as the Cubs are, they still have a multitude of weapons to use in their lineup. The Giants will fade.

I like being able to take songs off of albums that I like and mix them with other songs that I like by that same band. As for the original post, I don't really buy CD's anymore, I just get the songs that I like and ignore the CD.

I wouldn't want Joe Table on my team if he played for free.

I'm torn about it. I liked Clerks, but I don't think that the characters are really screaming for a sequel. As it is, the whole movie will end up being inside jokes, so it's not like you can bring friends with you unless they've seen every Kevin Smith movie ever made. If he tones it back a bit and makes a movie simular to Clerks, just in a different setting with different situations, it'll be watchable at least. As it is, if it's the same characters without any growth still making the same jokes just in a different setting, I likely won't see it and be done with Kevin Smith. His movies have fallen off since Chasing Amy.

I didn't crack a smile during any of the live shows that I've seen, but I loved him on Taxi.

Well, with Hurricane Chuck having come and gone, my power finally fucking being back on, and everything getting back to almost normal, here's my adventure (with photos~!) Friday, we knew that it was coming towards us, but it was barely a category one hurricane at that point, so I wasn't worried at all. Our local weathermen were spazzing out about the whole thing, telling everyone to "hunker down" and so on. I was prepared to lose power for a little while, deal with a few branches in the yards, etc.etc... Well, all of a sudden, word comes that it has intensified to a cat 2 hurricane and is on a direct path towards Cape Coral (where I live). OK...now I'm a bit worried, but nonetheless, I'm fine. My mom on the other hand, is flipping out, putting the couch in front of the sliding glass door, running around locking windows and putting stuff in our "hurricane shelter" (my bathroom). I spent the time playing PS2 and waiting for when I was supposed to get ready for this storm. Word comes on the TV that it's now a cat 3 hurricane, still on a direct course for Cape Coral, with winds approaching 130mph. Oh shit. Well, we "hunker down" in the tub in my bathroom, a mattress over our heads with my dog in there with us. We have a little battery operated five inch tv going with the coverage, as they essentially prepare us to be obliterated. All of a sudden, the storm intensifies as it gets closer to land. It's a cat 4 now, one lower than Hurricane Andrew which fucking DESTROYED Miami and Homestead in 1992. Now, I'm officially worried. So, we're watching the coverage of this storm coming to ruin us with continuous winds of over 145mph, when suddenly... It turns north about 20 miles away from us and starts heading up the coastline... Holy shit. As it is, Cape Coral suffered severe damage, but the eye of the storm with the winds over 145mph passed over Port Charlotte/Punta Gorda and the rest of Charlotte County (about 30 miles north of Cape Coral) and just fucked shit up. The island of Captiva, a beautiful place, was divided into two islands. Sweet fucking Christ. As it is, we sustained damage outside to our pool cage and lanai, but escaped any major anything really. Houses around us lost roofs, entire pool cages, fences, had trees fall on their houses, etc. We escaped with minor damage to our pool cage, one of our lanai doors broke, and we had a branch in our tree that turned the water an unhealthy green. But, we're alive, our friends and family are alive, and everything is good. And now...PICTURES~!

http://tsn.ca/news_story.asp?ID=96395&hubName=main Phoenix is gradually becoming a dark horse team in the West. They signed Petr Nedved and traded Daymond Langkow to the Flames for Denis Gauthier and Oleg Saprykin. Gauthier solidifies their defense physically. Saprykin gives them a rugged, talented second or third winger. The Nedved signing gives them a very good center/wing that ultimately replaces Langkow and made him expendible. If Phoenix can get their goaltending situation under control, they could emerge as a very dangerous, very talented team. Unfortunately, Boucher is maddeningly inconsistant, and Brent Johnson can't carry the #1 job. Maybe they could get involved in the Mike Dunham situation with the Rangers. Steve Shields is still available for signing too. Other than that, they have Zac Bierk in the system, but he's a back-up goalie at best. David Leneveu is decent goaltender, but he's still 21 and needs work in the minors. Jean-Marc Pelletier is 26 and entering his prime, but only has experience in the minors and is unlikely to amount to much in the NHL. Their only other option in their system is Jeff Pietrasiak, but he's still at the UNH and needs to get experience with NHL. As for trades, they could offer up Matthew Spiller and maybe a pick for Dunham. To make all of the moves that they've made in the off-season only to have shortcomings in net would truly be a shame.

Our local FOX affiliate has a pretty good thing going now starting at 5: 5P: Will and Grace (I don't watch it) 6P: Friends 7P: Everybody Loves Raymond 730P: Seinfeld That's still two good hours of television for me, starting with Friends. Other than that, I can't really think of anything besides FX's Labor Day marathons when they play an entire season of 24.
-
Probably Dunham since he's going to make an insane amount of money for a guy that has never put it all together in the NHL. I can't even think of a team that really NEEDS a goaltender...maybe Carolina or Atlanta, if they have the scratch.

I'm not even a basketball fan, but I'd watch some of this. That is if I had NBA-TV and my cable would get fixed.

About 3 feet long. I can take additional pictures, if you want.

Not that I've come across. I just try to keep my salary under a certain point otherwise I don't make a profit.

There's an ignorant vegan girl who makes it all worthwhile.

This entire thread feels like an inside joke, so I'll make one of my own... So then I told his girlfriend 'STICK AND MOVE!'

Ah. You're the one.

Why not just crack down on the fools that post "OMFG TOUCHDOWN" or 'WHAT A RUN BY THAT GUY"? That way, it lessens the post-whoring and could lead to more crack-downs, specifically in the MLB threads, when 15 people in a row do 'HOMERUN!@!!!'
