Geez, this year sucked. There'd better be a blockbuster that hasn't been reported yet.

MARLINS TRADE ABRAHAM NUNEZ TO THE ROYALS FOR RUDY SEANEZ~!!!!!!!!! Sorry, just trying to get excited. There's nothing going on.

"Nihilsm" > "Ruby Soho" I'd also recommend you some Dropkick Murphys. Here's a little list of tunes by them that OWN: "Barroom Hero" "Fightstarter Karaoke" "The Fighting 69th" "The Spicy McHaggis Jig" "The Dirty Glass" "Worker's Song" "For Boston" And of course, you can't talk Murphys without talking "Kiss Me, I'm Shitfaced." Don't forget 'As One', 'A Few Good Men', 'Time to Go', their cover of 'Finnegan's Wake', 'Blackout' and 'Heroes from our Past'

As an aside, not to disagree with you, but for the love of god, don't buy a COMPAQ. I had three of them before I got my DELL, and the two companies are like night and day. My COMPAQs were always fucking up, having problems with bugs, etc. Calling "customer service" was a joke; Long wait times, people who didn't know what they were doing, etc. Dell is the best bet, they have very good prices, and (I think) on most of their computers, a two year warranty that covers EVERYTHING. I had a problem with my CDROM drive that wasn't fixable over the phone, so the next day, they hired a technician to come out and fix it. Done and done, no problems. Avoid Compaq like the plague.

I saw two Twins, Vern. Michael Cervenak(Norwich(MIN), Infielder): .344/.427/.613, 30 doubles and 17 HR's in 81 games. 42 BB's vs 35 K's, 66 RBI's and 61 runs. Patrick Misch(Norwich(MIN), SP): 2.71 ERA in 20 games. 98 K’s vs 21 BB’s in 126 IP.

Not trying to steer this completely into medical territory, but what exactly is a tumor? Can a non-cancerous one spread and turn into a cancerous tumor?

I don't think Zambrano is worth a 20 year old lefty, who many are saying is very good. I've watched Zambrano, and when he's on, he's above average, but hittable. I'd like to see who Zambrano compares to with his numbers at this point in his career...of course, I don't know the website.

Cloutier isn't the one to lead the Canucks deep into the playoffs. He's collapsed in big games for them in the past (ie, games 6&7 against Minnesota in 03). If I'm a fan of an opposing team, I'm confident going into the playoffs against them. They can score, sure, but their goalie can't stop the puck, and until he pulls a Roy and practically DRAGS his team to a Cup, that reputation will always come with him. Cloutier is a good regular season goaltender, but the fact that he makes 3 million a year makes me want to punch someone in the face. The Nucks could have reupped Auld, kept Hedberg, and possibly gone after Osgood. As it is, the money Cloutier got results in Arvedsson being hard to resign. Granted that Arvedsson was injured much of last year, but he's an excellent defensive winger that the Canucks could use. If the Sedins and Auld didn't sign, does that mean they're holding for arbitration? Does this mean that the Sedins are going to become free agents? Bruins? *hyperventilates*

If, hypothetically, the yankees trade Lofton for Polanco, who plays center, I'm wondering. Do they move Matsui over and put ______ in left? Or do they shop around and try to get into the Steve Finley sweepstakes?

If you still want a baseball game to play, try out MLB 2005.

He's gotten knocked around a bit by the Red Sox, hasn't he?
-
I mean game-wise. If the starters get jumped on early, Rivera and Gordon are useless.
-
Brown and Duque are money pitchers to a certain extent. But, the other guys in the rotation I don't fear. Gordon and Rivera yeah, I don't look forward to seeing, but they're human and can't pitch forever.
-
No freaking doubt. I can't wait, as I'll have access to it all, as I get ~150 games a year on basic cable... I can't wait.

Don't forget Dedham's own...Ted Donato...although he retired, so I don't know if he counts or not. In other news, the Habs signed Radek "soft" Bonk to a three year contract. http://tsn.ca/news_story.asp?ID=93016&hubName=main *holds back laughter until realizing that the Bruins signed Tom Fitzgerald and haven't replaced three key players who left via free agency* *cries*

So, will I be seeing Kazmir soon with the D-Rays or do we think that he'll be in the minors for a little while longer?
-
That's a moment that I think of whenever someone mentions tennis. And it's #40...
-
As a rival fan, the only pitcher in that rotation that I fear come playoff time is Brown if he's healthy. El Duque...a little. Red Sox got to Mussina last year in the postseason, Vazquez and Lieber have no postseason experience, and Contreras is a joke.

Encarnacion helped them last year, as he didn't have a lot of pressure on him to produce, unlike LA. I LOVE having an actual catcher. Nothing against Redmond or Castro, but really. Now, they move Conine to first, stick Cabrera in left and give Encarnacion right field again. I don't like giving up Penny or Choi to get them though. Both were guys with a good following, and Penny has been one of their most consistant starters (along with Pavano)

I know, I know. But hey, look at the bright side, we got Tom Fitzgerald.

That's funny. I could have sworn they won the division. Eh, it's all kind of fuzzy around that point. EDIT: I meant 1996 anyway.

And the newest stadium that I have access to? The Trop in Tampa. The Trop is essentially an airport with a baseball field. Such great atmosphere. What makes a park great to me is the atmosphere. I could care less about goddamn pools, ferris wheels, et al. The main attraction is right on the field. Newer parks may look great and it feels wonderful to be in one, but there's nothing there. When I walked into Fenway for the first time and saw the field, it was amazing. THAT'S the feeling people get when they enter a good park. Not "I hope I remembered my swimming shorts." I'd rather see the Yankees in the Stadium than go to Pittsburgh to see that park and see a losing home team. Why? Just being there is half the fun. The other half is seeing good baseball played on the field. That and I want to see a Red Sox @ Yankees in Yankee Stadium before I die. I've seen it at Fenway (granted, it was 1995, when the Sox weren't any good).

I may be wrong, but OPS is On-Base Percentage and Slugging Percentage added together....OPS = Overall Percentage Statistic? Something like that.

http://tsn.ca/news_story.asp?ID=92978 Blues re-up Pronger on a one year...9.5 million dollar contract. This means that Demitra is essentially out of St. Louis...*crosses fingers* Boston needs the help...and the need to sign a SOMEBODY.

Some are, but 3/4 of those teams routinely sell out their games at home. Can you say the same for Pittsburgh? Cincinnati? I gladly would if I had the resources. I don't have the new stadium down here to compare Fenway to. As long as they aren't falling down would be my guess. Fenway's been revamped with the Monster seats, Yawkey Way is apparently different now too, it's a completely different attitude in the park now. But how long does it spike attendance? Again, I bring up the Pirates. Brand new ballpark. Wonderful looking too. I'd rather have a winning team than a park will all the bells and whistles. Attendance rises for the first year, but falls back down to where it normally would be if the team sucks. Ask the Pirates.
