  1. I use letssingit.com I don't get pop-ups or spyware.
  2. http://espn.go.com/page2/s/simmons/031020.html "Over the past three days, I spent an inordinate amount of time wondering why Grady didn't take Pedro out (I know, I know, hard to believe). Well, after six innings, Pedro had thrown 79 pitches. In the seventh inning, which he barely escaped, Pedro was up to 99. And he wasted another 16 with the Johnson and Jeter at-bats, which culminated in Jeter's drive over Nixon's head. At that point, he was up to 115 pitches. Pedro started 29 games this season ... you know how many times he threw more than 115 pitches? Five. According to Peter Gammons, opponents batted .370 against him after he hit that 100-pitch mark this season. He had also thrown 328 pitches in his past three starts. And he was pitching in the most important non-World Series game of all time, on the road, in a stadium where fans were yelling terrible things at him from the moment he started warming up, a game where 115 pitches probably felt like 140. Knowing all of this, and knowing that his bullpen had been unbelievable in the postseason, Grady left him in because Pedro professed that he wanted to stay in the game. Well, what else was he going to say? If he says "Yes, take me out of the game," and Embree and Timlin blow the lead, then Pedro gets skewered by the local press. That's why you have managers -- you hire them to make decisions like that one. And that's why Joe Torre is Joe Torre, and that's why Grady Little is Grady Little."
  3. http://tsn.ca/news_story.asp?ID=92092&hubName=main Chuk will come back, provided he has a contract and there's an NHL next year.
  4. I was a mark for the X-Men cartoon in the 1990's, was a huge Wolverine fan, read some of the comics, etc., but to have the spandex come to the film would be out and out ridiculous to the point that I wouldn't be able to take it seriously.
  5. Both are 7 3/8
  6. I liked Wings, but hated Coach. Nick at Nite only has Wings on at like, 4 in the morning. I wish they'd move it to a better time.

Cut it and color it. Get it blended in so that you can get the bottom relatively short, but keep the top long. Then color it black or that darkish red color.
  8. The Softball Song from the Simpsons. "Well Mr. Burns had done it, the Power Plant had won it, with Roger Clemens clucking all the while..."
  9. Did you see the homeplate cam? They had like five guys lined up for the cut-off.
  10. I saw that Pedro was tired. I saw Timlin warming. I put 2 and 2 together. Pedro had gotten them within 5 outs of the World Series, I was happy enough with that.
  11. The giant Pedro bobblehead was put in the dugout when he left after his last start before the ASB to go back to the Dominican to help with flood relief efforts, I think. They decided to put it on the bench for whatever reason. Manny appeared to have a conversation with it, but then again....he's Manny. He probably worships Joe Boo or something.
  12. He showed enough confidence in him by letting him go 7. Timlin had been awesome in the postseason, and would have likely given to Williamson in the 9th. I'm more comfortable with that than a tired ace who was over 115 pitches at that point, had SHOWN he was tired and not as effective. As it is, I was not comfortable with either situation, but with stakes that high, that's not the time you stick with a tired pitcher. I don't care who was on the mound.
  13. They've had Lowell on the block before. He's available.
  14. Because...uh.... *runs*
  15. It is to a point, but a great manager gets his players around it.
  16. Have Summerslam 1996 and Superbrawl V masters, but Bash at the Beach 94 is a tape copy.
  17. If you haven't already, and if NetFlix carries it, get Simpsons seasons 3 and 4, as these are two of the best seasons in the show's history.
  18. I'm doing backflips as we speak.

    Trade Talk

Apparently, they thought the Rays would be concerned about a crowded outfield next year, when Delmon Young is presumably ready to play in the majors. I think that, after years of bad signings and general ineptitude, that is precisely the kind of problem the Rays would like to have. Exactly what they want, as Cruz Jnr. either becomes a platoon or gets dealt. He's having a good year right now, and may look attractive to someone who needs the outfield help.

Welcome to life. I blame women. *cries and hugs Agent*

Exactly. Plus, he's an excellent fit, and gives the Rays a very good, speedy, well hitting outfield for a few more seasons with Crawford and Cruz Jnr.

My hair line is receding and I pull out more than an average amount of hair with my comb and I'm only 21.
  23. I'm glad they let the language go. With this subject matter, it brings in a realism that makes the show even better.
  24. Red Sox are already done, so.... Marlins: Miguel Cabrera D-Train Josh Beckett. I'd say Penny and Pavano were untouchable since they've been the better pitchers on the team, but D-Train and Beckett (once healhty) are a BIG 1-2 punch in the future. It's like a younger Schilling/Johnson a few years ago.
