    Question for a mod

Why not try to branch into something different, like Jobber Junior Regional National World etc.etc. I realize we're a wrestling site, but not everyone here watches it.

They only had one rain out? In Miami? So far, I suppose. It rains a lot down here, but usually not for a long period of time. The Marlins get consistant rain-delays, but it rains hard for a half-hour, maybe 45 minutes, and then it stops and gets sunny again. Wild Weather. And yes, to understand the Yanks/Sawx rivalry, you'd have to live in the corresponding areas.

Is there anything similar to KaZaA Lite?

I've had K-Lite for almost two years, and have had no problems with it introducing spyware into my computer. I have a problem with the internet introducing spyware, but that's easily solvable.

    This Week in Baseball

I'd like to try to go see the Marlins at some point this year. I think September is their fan month, so they run all kinds of ticket specials (Buy one get one free, Buy one, get one for a buck, etc.) They ran some great specials down the stretch last year, and had some wild games too. Plus, Pro-Player is a really nice stadium, and the ticket prices aren't bad to begin with, considering they have a fun team this year. I'd also like to get to Tampa to see the D-Rays, especially when the Red Sox are in town. The Eye-Sore isn't that good of a park, but the D-Rays have a half-way decent team, the Red Sox come there, and I can boo Fred McGriff.

    Next gen favors Nintendo...

I doubt that, since I doubt the PS3 will remain at 500 bones for very long. However, if it means that the PS2 finally goes down even more in price, maybe I can finally get one.

    NHL 2005

"Open-Ice Control" sounds like a winning idea. My one gripe is that they could have older teams like the Madden Series used to do, like they could put in the 1976 Philadelphia Flyers, the 1980 New York Islanders, the 1984 Edmonton Oilers available for player usage. Plus, part of me wants them to put in older Olympic teams, so we can recreate the Miracle on Ice. Other than that, I love how they are doing new things with the engine, rather than before when they put out the same game with updated rosters.

    Buying Music

Not many places down here sell good vinyl. There's a stoner place near Wal-Mart, and I've gone in there to buy used CD's, DVD's, and videogames, but his selection of vinyl was severely lacking. Most of the time now, I just buy at a store for the cheapest price.

    What's more addictive?

Tetris. I never got into Dr. Mario, but I had Tetris for my Gameboy back in the day.

How do I write a resume'?

Join at Monster.com or Careerbuilder and they'll show you how to make one. Use MS Word to write it, as they have templates to use as well.

MTV True Life: I Have a Summer Share

Heh, the quote was even funnier, because it called it a 'cellar phone'. "Anybody got a cellar phone?" That and when he was looking for money to pay for the ring... "That's...that's a bill"

    Keyboard question.......

Because it's pretty much useless. $10.78 doesn't require it, and to properly define cents, it's supposed to be $.50.

    Punk Essentals?

I can see your point about the style that they play, since it's not always off the wall crazy 'FIGHT THE POWER' punk rock, but their music has a different style to it. I can't describe it.
  21. In case anyone was wondering, according to NHL 2003, Steve Rucchin is the greatest hockey player who ever walked the fucking planet. HE DOES NOT MISS A SHOT. Minnesota Wild (me), leading Anaheim 5-2 in a critical late-season game, where I'm trying to nail down the #4 seed in the West. Rucchin scores with about three minutes left in the game, drawing it to 5-3. I'm not worried. Rucchin wins the draw, gets the pass back from his defenseman and rips a shot from the blueline. Score. 5-4. Rucchin again wins the draw (against my top face-off guy), gets the pass back from his defenseman, skates through an absolute mugging of a check from my biggest defenseman and flips this impossible backhand over my goalie's glove. 5-5 in a matter of 45 seconds, Rucchin has the fastest hat trick in NHL history. It stays 5-5 because I fucking assaulted him everytime he touched the puck, so we head to OT, where I've gotten my point for the game, but need the breathing room from Detroit in the standings, so I'm going for the win. Rucchin wins the draw, Anaheim skates into my zone, Rucchin gets a one-timer from Matt Cullen...game over. I got my point in the standings, but ended up losing the #4 seed to Detroit by one point, and lost to them in six games in the first round of the playoffs. Man, I hate Steve Rucchin.

    OaO vs. One topic threads

Newsworthy stuff seems to find its way to its own thread anyway. I'm for OAO.

    Phil Jackson leaves the Lakers

I'm calm. I might be preaching to the choir here, but I just think discussion is better served when we have a specific topic to discuss. Alot of OaO threads are meaningless drivel that resemble chats more than discussion forums. I see your point, but it seems that you're outnumbered when it comes down to it, as nobody else seems to have a problem with said threads. There have been three NHL Post-season threads that I've been a part of, and all three of them were much better than making a thread with six replies about something.

I posted in the NHL thread during the season and the playoffs and had no problems. You need to calm down.
