I'm trying to figure out the hypocrisy in the way "this kid" got a bunch of flack from everyone for referring to himself as a soldier, yet those same people go and call Favre (and Pat Ewing, 'Zo Mourning, Emmitt Smith, Steve McNair, etc.) a warrior every week. war·ri·or n. 1. One who is engaged in or experienced in battle. 2. One who is engaged aggressively or energetically in an activity, cause, or conflict: neighborhood warriors fighting against developers. sol·dier n. 1. One who serves in an army. 2. An enlisted person or a noncommissioned officer. 3. An active, loyal, or militant follower of an organization. There's a slight difference between them.

Moore, COL, major (fighting), 6:36; Cooke, VAN, major (fighting), 6:36. From the boxscore. http://tsn.ca/nhl/box_score.asp?yy=2004&mm...58&gameStatus=2 Looks like he answered the bell to me. Bertuzzi apparently didn't think that a checking center fighting a goon did it well enough. Moore's hit was an accident, Naslund didn't have a problem with the hit: So basically, Moore finishes his check (which I was always told to do by my coaches), hits Naslund with a questionable hit, and gets his ass kicked by Cooke, but that's not good enough? Did I miss something here? Naslund is OK, right? Yeah, he is. He missed three games. Moore fights Cooke, but to Bertuzzi, he needs to pay even MORE?! How so? He fought, he got repaid for the hit, he moved on. Bertuzzi should heed Naslund's advice of I said a year ban based on what happened to Marty McSorley (which I hate that this is compared to because it's different.) McSorley got a year. Bertuzzi should too.

Lazy bastard, Vern. http://www.foxsports.com/content/view?contentId=2190582 There are links at the bottom of the page, one for each sport.

I always saw it as it was hard enough to knock him off-balance, but I'm admittedly biased there.
-
Reports said that Moore was out before he hit the ice, so it appears that Bertuzzi did knock him out with a sucker punch. The whole "jumping on his back and riding him to the ice" caused the damage to his neck and vertebraes.
-
Hockey has their own rules, but when a player brazenly breaks them for a cowardly act of revenge for his not-even-fallen captain, you need to start looking at things in a different way. It sucks that Bertuzzi may face real charges, it really does. But when it's looked at as Steve Moore is out for the rest of the season because of one man's cowardice, people tend to want the right thing to happen. The right thing is Bertuzzi missing the rest of the Vancouver Canucks season and playoff run. Bertuzzi took a gamble. And he missed. Terribly. If Marty McSorley gets suspended for a year for a lovetap on Brashear, Bertuzzi should get the book thrown at him...from behind, causing him to fall flat on his face.

Think about it this way if Bertuzzi turned Moore around dropped his right glove and landed the same monster right hand which resulted in Moore cracking his skull on the ice and fell into a coma what would the penalty be?? 5 for fighting 2 for instigating? What if he gave a late hit which resulted in Moore breaking his neck(not cracking his vertabrae) IMO the punch was brutal because Bertuzzi's a hoss but if Moore hadn't had a soft skull and get knocked out cold it'd be nothing more than a roughing penalty. Granted it was from behind but what he did in theory may have been the most human thing to do. I've seen alot worse coming from closed fist punches and ruthless hit's from behind. The most human thing to do?! Are you kidding me?!

Moore didn't go for his head, Moore accidentally hit him in the head. Regardless. Even if the Naslund hit was dirty, there is NO EXCUSE for what Bertuzzi did. Period.
-
What I quoted earlier was a direct quote from Naslund from TSN's website.
-
That was accidental. He didn't sucker punch him and slam his face on the ice. He accidentally swerved into him.
-
I want a Bourque sweater. You bastard.

He was on his knees defenseless - and Moore came in with a shoulder directly to his face. It was certainly a cheapshot - one that was fueled by the fact that Moore did not apologize. Moore was going in to hit Naslund, Naslund lost his footing, and Moore was too far into the hit to stop. The hit was accidental. The Canucks made a big deal out of it because it's their captain getting hit with a borderline hit on open ice. Marc Crawford got his panties in a knot and swore revenge on Moore and the Avalanche. He didn't get it in the game on March 3 because it was a close game (that ended in a tie). Sounds like Todd Bertuzzi needed to heed his captains' words. And watch this and tell me that the weight of the players and Todd Bertuzzi, and not the hit and shove to the ice, broke his neck. http://www.hockeyfights.com/cf281/040308_b...shots_moore.wmv

It's odd that most of the wrestling sucked when I was a kid, but I remember the commentators more than anything. Heenan, Monsoon and Hayes.

The C got Marcus Nilson from Florida for a 2nd rounder. Nilson is a good two-way player, and as someone who sees an awful lot of the Panthers, I'm sad to see him go, as it appears that Florida is giving up on this year.

The "I'm a lawyer/I have my lawyers on speed-dial" is used a lot on the internet. I'd call up PayPal myself and explain the situation. It's your responsibility to make sure that they get there within a timely manner. You did that by mailing them as soon as you can. Outside of driving to her fucking house, there isn't a whole lot that you can do otherwise. Get in contact with PayPal and Ebay and get it sorted out that way.

most of the cruisers were the best in the game because they had such badass move sets. Black Ninja has the best moveset. Getting a 20,000 point match with him is easy as anything.

What about Preston Wilson's #'s. Playing in that park pads his stats a ton, and yet he's way above Johnny Damon, who plays great defense in a difficult spot, runs well, and is a big part of the Red Sox #1 offense?

This is better summed up with the urinal game. http://www.musicinkent.co.uk/game/urinal.html
