It's not really an argument, just Star Ocean doing one of those "Nobody talks about ________"...and then doesn't talk about it.

17 million/year for Soriano. The Yanks are paying A-Rod 15 million per.

Bruins win their fourth in a row, the first time that's happened since March of 2004(!), 3-2 in OOOOOOOvertime. Thomas played well again. He was burned by Klepis on the first goal but lost the edge of his skate on the second on a laser from Ovechkin. That was unfortunate as the Bruins had :01 remaining on a 5-on-3 that they killed off. All-around, a great night for the defense especially Brad Stuart who had probably his best game as a Bruin since coming over in The Trade That Must Not Be Named. Bruins goals from Axelsson, Chara and the game winner from Murray in OT. Next game is monday against the Panthers, which I expect the Bruins to be up and ready for, since they weren't up and ready for them in the season-opener and were soundly embarrassed by a team starting Alex Auld in net.

... Are you surprised that Thomas is the starter, or...? I don't understand how that warranted mentioning. He's started four games in a row. The back-up is Brian Finley right now.

Thanks, but I'd rather have my shopping done early than wade through the hordes of idiots populating the malls in December. Wal-Mart is open 24/7, mon ami. No idiots in there at 3 in the morning...

I hope to god that Nabokov goes to the desert and not to Boston. And that Chiarelli stays the fuck away from Khabibulin. The Bruins have a lot of goaltenders right now and while there may not be a true "#1" I think Thomas is fine until Hannu is ready. Thomas has a three year contract. Three years takes us to the time when Rask can come over and start kicking a little ass, so it's in their best interest to not trade for an albatross like Nabokov or Khabibulin. Don't look now, but the Bruins have won three straight and face a Capitals team that's playing the second night of a back-to-back after a pretty good game last night. Gaustad's a pretty big dude and can throw down. So can Andrew Peters. I don't think that will be an issue in the playoffs, considering that it wasn't their downfall last year. Almost a valid point except their record is outstanding with this alleged average goaltending. 16-2-1 with goaltending that has yet to catch fire scares the shit out of me if I have to see them in the playoffs. Sure they'll cool off, but being able to roll four lines in the playoffs makes them even more dangerous, IMO. Chris Drury isn't going to score 47 goals. Thomas Vanek isn't going to score 56. They'll cool off, but you're not giving them credit for the one thing that will bring them to the Cup: Depth. They are the deepest team in the league right now. Their two best defensemen are down right now and they're still winning. Once they get those players back...it's on. You're dead wrong about Buffalo. I don't like them either seeing as they are a divisional opponent, but you have to give them credit for what they've done so far.

She was asking for it dressed all provocatively in pink sweatpants and a Dora the Explorer shirt. Whore. -
The thought of a deer reading a sign and walking down the road to cross at the proper wildlife crossing made me laugh.

If for some reason it was Terrell Owens, the ESPN universe would collapse on itself.

We just moved into a 3 bed/2 bath for a whopping 850 per month. 1330 down here would get you a nice 4/3 or a 3/2 on a canal or something. That's a lot of cash.

Yes it is, sir. Nero allows you to burn files onto cd's as well. These are VCD's. Most dvd players play VCD's. 1- Buy a DVD burner. I have a Lite-On external that I found at Wal-Mart for cheap. 2- Burn the files to a disc (either a DVD or a VCD). 3- Watch the discs.

So talk up the West more. Outside of the Canucks, I'm ignorant of the rest of the West. Too late for me. Bruins v. Sens was a fun game last night. Even Dempsey looked solid at times. The defense needs to learn how to block shots though as they were again susceptible to the shot from the point and deflection in front (on Neil's second goal) and they need to learn that when they start hitting people instead of avoiding body contact that things start happening (drawing penalties and such). Brian Finley was reassigned to Providence after the game last night, with no word on whether or not Toivonen is returning to the big club or if a trade is in the works.

A guy I work with had the same problem with our crappy work laptops. When his RFVTGB keys fell off, he got some thin double stick tape and (with the computer off) pressed the letter firmly back onto the key. It worked pretty well for him.

We used to get them when we lived in an apartment until we got on the "do-not call" list. The only call I get now is for donations to the local sheriff's department to buy them guns and stuff.

Flying from Massachusetts to Florida I had a layover in Chicago. You know, since it's on the way and all. I ate at a local place called "Chili's" and almost got run over by an obese woman of color driving a golf cart with trashcans in the middle of the walking area.

From the Bruins website: Sturm-Bergeron-Boyes Axelsson-Savard-Murray Primeau-Kessel-Donovan Hoggan-Mowers-Stastny Alberts-Chara Mara-Stuart Jurcina-Lashoff Brad Stuart is back. Mats Sundin is out. No Dempsey in the lineup. I am going out on a limb here and calling a Bruins win. I know that it's not something that a sane, rational person would do, but I'm doped up on painkillers and muscle relaxers. I think the Bruins win the game 7-4 on a David Ortiz walk-off homer.

They'll be an awesome rotation...until mid-April.

Hannu Toivonen has been sent down to Providence and the Bruins called up Brian Finley to back up Tim Thomas. Rumors are swirling about the Bruins acquiring a big name goaltender (Nabokov, CuJo, Osgood, et all) to start for them. Thomas is expected to start on Thursday against the Leafs. Toivonen hasn't been the same since last week, when he apparently got his bell rung by Jurcina in practice, when Jurcina hit him in the head with a slapshot. I think we've figured out why Jurcina has been in the doghouse lately... I can't help but feel like this season is starting to spin out of control. And if they think that Evgeni fucking Nabokov is going to solve any of their problems (besides ditching Murray, which they would have to to take on the contract...but then you lose Murray's scoring), I don't see this being a very productive year for them with regards to the playoffs. The game last week against Buffalo keeps replaying in my head. 4-1 lead. 4-2. 4-3. 4-4. It's like watching the Red Sox of old rip your heart out as they collapsed in the 9th.
