Must not have been near any walls. And since he's retired, he doesn't have a uniform to set on fire.

Wait, what? He ordered someone to shoot his pregnant girlfriend. I can't tell if you're kidding or not. No he didn't. Rae owed the guy some money from a drug deal, the guy and his friend was looking for rae, asked his girlfriend, she said fuck you and flipped him off, dude got pissed and shot her. He told all this to the police when he was arrested. THEN the offered him a deal that said if he said Rae paid him to kill the girl, he wouldn't get the death penalty. Then he changed his story. There was no evidence that Rae paid the guy to kill her. Now Curruth was using the money he made from football to buy huge amounts of drugs, and that in turn got the girl killed so in that sense, yeah, he was responsible. And I am not saying he was a smart/good guy. But he didn't pay someone to murder that girl. Thats what OJ did. And then when he couldn't find someone to do it, OJ did it himself...

I think that's their plan right now. Chiarelli will likely feel out for an extension for fair money. If Stuart is intent on testing the market (he's one of, if not the best UFA defenseman available next offseason), I think he'll be moved and fetch a good return. Rask likely won't be over for about 2-3 years though, so they're shooting themselves in the foot. Rask is widely regarded as one of the best goaltending prospects in the NHL and is only 19 years old. Unless they're getting back a very, VERY good forward, I don't move him. At all. It all has to do with money. Sturm's in a contract year as well. If he's going to want too much, they won't hesitate to shop him as well.
-
No way they deal Rask AND M. Stuart unless they're getting something absolutely phenomenal. Their trade chips are Alberts, Jurcina, Rask (only if something very, very good is coming back), Brad Stuart and Sturm.

I fail to see how this is a bad move for Kessel. He would have been the big fish in the pond in Minnesota, yes. He would have competed for a National Title, yes. But if his dream is to play in the NHL, isn't he making the right decision? He's going to start getting paid, get to play with and against world class players and start his career. Win-win for both parties. Rumors had the Bruins looking to trade Brad Stuart to get a second line winger since there's really nobody on the market that can step in and play on the second line. Kessel is a rookie, yes, but he's arguably the best offensive talent from the draft and has the skills to jump into big boy hockey. Awesome move for the Bruins as well as it solidifies a lot for them: Sturm-Bergeron-Boyes Kessel-Savard-Murray Axelsson-Primeau-Donovan rookie-rookie-rookie Chara-Mara B. Stuart-Alberts M. Stuart-Jurcina The Bruins are looking much improved, especially defensively. I'd argue that they have one of the top three defenses in the East.

http://tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=174477&hubname= Holy shit. If he makes the team (which I would think he will) the Bruins have their second line winger...and they don't have to trade Brad Stuart. I can't fucking wait for the season now. Now GET BERGERON SIGNED.

PTBLN was Adam Stern in the Juventud Lopez deal.

I heard Daze retired. Too many back problems.

It will probably label him as a prick, but it was a good article. I especially liked the Gordon Bombay reference. At least he gave Sinden credit for what he did right...but I'll say that it's refreshing to read a guy with a column on cnnsi (even if nobody I know reads cnnsi) taking shots at a guy that Bruins fans have hated for years.

"You know what the title of that book should be? "Yes I Can if Frank Sinatra Says it's Okay". Cause Frank calls the shots for all of those guys . Did you get to the part yet where uh...Sammy is coming out of the Copa... it's about 3:00 in the morning and uh...he sees Frank? Frank's walking down Broadway by himself.... *Nigel raises limo divider* "Fuckin' limeys."

Mario/Francis. Neither is flashy enough to be Jagr. And both are at least responsible defensively.
-
I don't know how good Ovechkin is defensively. Both are excellent offensive players (Ovechkin was the most explosive player in the NHL last season), about the same size and have the about the same projected career path (franchise players). Ovechkin has a year up on Malkin, but Malkin has the better team around him (whenever he gets there). I'd say it's a toss-up right now.

Denis Leary and Lenny Clarke guested during the Tigers v. Red Sox game with funny things ensuing. Seriously. Lenny Clarke is one of the funniest people I've ever heard. Get him on a roll and forget about getting a word in edgewise. The highlight of the interview was Clarke and Leary discovering that Kevin Youkilis is Jewish and then taking shots at Mel Gibson. As they're doing that, Youkilis makes a great diving play in the hole between first and second and Clarke screams, "TAKE THAT MEL! WHERE ARE YOU NOW?! IN REHAB!!!" Remy and Orsillo lost it, Orsillo was off-mike for almost five minutes while Remy did his wheeze laugh while his face turned red. Good times.

We have a PS2, N64, Genesis, GameCube, DS, GBA and an NES buried somewhere. Only the PS2, GC and DS get play anymore. I play NHL06, 24 and THPS1 on the PS2. We both use the GC for Mario Golf, Mario Baseball, Mario Strikers, Sonic, etc.etc. And the DS is hers, I bought it for her for xmas. I'd say we have too many systems, but I always find that if I get rid of a system, I want to play it three days after I get rid of it. That's no good. I doubt I'll invest in a 360/Wii right away. Sony can kiss my fucking ass with the PS3's price. The 360 looks OK, but not for the current price and the fact that I only really want it for NHL07. Plus with the issues with the place we're living in now and the fact that we'll be moving soon, money just isn't available for entertainment right now.

I've only caught one ball in over 60 games the last two years. Granted I'm usually in a relatively difficult place for a ball to land. Beyond AAA the stands are set up in a way where not many baseballs land. It takes a fair bit of luck. It does take luck, but I thought that my odds would be increased from me and the gal being 2 of the 95 people there (we counted at the last game...there were 93 people in the stands).
-
All minor league games for us. Fort Myers Miracle about 10 times. In the community calendar they have coupons for "Buy 1 ticket, Get 1 ticket FREE!" I love minor league baseball. I'm still waiting to catch a ball though. Considering there are only 95 people at the games, I'm surprised I haven't gotten one yet. We were going to go to the Red Sox v. Marlins game on my birfday, but we went to Busch Gardens instead. Considering Tampa to Miami is about a five hour drive...no thanks. We had plans to go to a Marlins or D-Rays game, but with the situation at the apartment complex...I don't think that'll be happening.

They brought it up during a NESN broadcast that the AL managers(?) were surveyed and most of them had Lowell ahead of Chavez when it came to third basemen and the A's were pissed about it.
-
What do you think of the "debate" between Lowell and Chavez for the AL Gold Glove?
-
I dunno, Pronger's a pretty big hole to fill. Especially when their biggest defensive signing has been Daniel Tjarnquist.
-
Propel's alright. I like the Berry flavor. It's expensive for water though.
-
Berry citrus was my favorite, but they stopped selling it down here. I've stopped drinking it, but my favorite was the X-Factor Orange/Tropical Fruit. I used to add it to strawberries, bananas and raspberries and make smoothies.

We usually make pizza dough with herbs and stuff cooked in. Lots of sauce, cheese, pepperoni, peppers, pineapple and parmesan cheese to top before it gets baked.

I figured that since he leaves the second 'e' in 'Peter" off, i'd leave off some (all) of the vowels. Just me being WACKY, I suppose. I'm kind of surprised the Bruins weren't even mildly interested in him. I know most fans are darkening the penciling of Kessel at the second line wing, but to have a veteran guy who can score in there would certainly help. Then again, considering that Sykora doesn't play anything remotely resembling defense, I'm kind of glad Chiarelli stayed away.
