I love XM radio. Buck/McCarver or Castiglione/Trupiano? Tough decision.

Don't forget "Roger trains with chicken wings prior to 1995 season".
-
I like them. They're inoffensive, lack a big obtuse logo and even though they have a black jersey, it actually looks good. Old uniforms: 5/10 New uniforms: 8/10 still no match for the Red Wings white uniforms though. Those are an art piece.

I heard only steers and queers come from Texas!

"Gorton said last night that all qualifying offers had been issued, and anyone without one in hand by yesterday would not receive one. Peter Fish, the agent for Pat Leahy, said yesterday his client had not received a qualifying offer. Another of Fish's clients, unrestricted free agent defenseman Hal Gill, also had not yet received an offer." -Globe 6/22. YESYESYESYESYESYESYES

Sounds close-minded to me. You watched a minute of a pilot episode of a tv show and instantly decided that it was awful and not worth your time. Why not give it another few shows to get going?

Jon Lester is looking very good tonight. 9K so far. I think Remy's off his medication again. He's been out of his mind tonight.
-
According to Jim Norton, the audience watches it in the studio on monitors, which explains why there's a slight pause on the laughter after a joke.

Razor Shines is a good one too.

Wonder if he'll get his option picked up...

NBC added a grand total of seven games to their schedule (4 regular season and 3 playoffs). They'll have 10 weeks of regular season and 10 weeks of postseason games. I'd assume that the deal with OLN won't change much besides their schedule. I heard that they'll be changing their channel name to "Vs." as well.

There is no laugh track on Lucky Louie.

I agree with that, UT. I think the media can get too uptight sometimes in how those in the sports world can react to criticism. Too many people are easy offended these days. Fag isn't even really that much of an insult anymore. It's taken on a completely different meaning. I could see why people are criticizing Ozzie if he called Marriotti a gringo or something, but it's not even news. And if it is news, it shouldn't be.

But who else is going to start? Starting pitching is running pretty thin and they don't want to "give up" on the season and just start a complete youth movement.
-
Don't worry, you'll get Melky Cabrera in return.

Edmonton gets the #45 pick in rd 2 due to them being unable to sign a prospect. Their first rounder went to Minnesota in the Roloson deal. If they re-sign Peca, they lose their third rounder (#80) to Atlanta.

I think Ottawa best get in on the Luongo sweepstakes. Some may say that he's never been in the playoffs and might be a flop, but he's a very good goaltender and is the type that steals you games in the playoffs. Ottawa should get in on it, even if it would likely cost them a package consisting of Havlat/Vonchenkov. If they can't get Louie, I'd stick with Emery instead of wasting money on Hasek. Sure, he's great and is one of the best and most exciting goaltenders ever, but his health is a serious concern. Stick with Emery. He played bad at times in the playoffs, but with another year under his belt, he should be fine.

LOL! THANKS FOR KEEPING US UPDATED!!! More importantly, While I don't think they're actively trying to make this trade, I think Gorton is listening to offers. If the right offer came along, I'm sure they'd look at it. But it HAS to get them a guaranteed top six forward AND at least a top pairing defenseman. If not the defenseman, I'd say another good pick. But I think they're more than happy with staying at #5 and taking whichever player is left (I think they're hoping Backstrom falls to #5).

DiPietro is too inconsistant to be considered elite, I think. He goes from outstanding to Conklin in no time.
-
I never considered Roloson "elite" even after Minnesota's run. Giguere was another story.
-
I think it's a changing of the guard of elite goaltenders. Brodeur looked human this season, as did Theodore (once considered elite...maybe by Montreal only) and Luongo. It's going to take guys like Bryzgalov and Ward to bring back the elite goaltenders. Ward wasn't the most valuable player on his team throughout the playoffs, but at times, he was sparkling. That's the makings of an elite goaltender. But the comparisons to Roy stop at how young they both were.

Maybe Detroit will have an interest in Raycroft to satiate the fans' bloodlust to dump Andrew after one lackluster season.
