Sure that's not the same person?

Actually, I'm trying to get Clement out of town. Not trying to eat his precious, precious brains.

well, Roloson didn't exactly play (he never won or lost a game in the finals), so your assessment is wrong. Why? The team had a red-hot goalie, emerged out of nowhere to make the finals, but ultimately lost. That's what happened, in spite of the Roloson injury. I'm beginning to dislike Max. But the so-called "Red Hot Goalie" in your scenario didn't factor into the situation in the finals. Roloson left game 1 with the game tied and never returned. Conklin's blunder led to the goal, Conklin takes the loss. If anything, it's "Red Hot Team Emerges Out Of Nowhere To Make The Finals And Win For The First Time In Team History" since I can count on one hand the amount of people picking Carolina to even make the playoffs, let alone end up winning the whole thing. Probably the same amount of people that were picking Edmonton to win the conference. Carolina was considered a dark horse in the East, most considered them talented, but with a poor goaltending situation they might be a year away. Same thing in Edmonton. Both teams came from nowhere to make the finals. edit- And before you bring up the fact that Carolina was a "popular" choice once they made the playoffs, everyone had pretty much conceded that the East was Ottawa's to lose. I don't think I read anywhere that Carolina was expected to make it past the conference finals at best.

So Snyder had a Clement-esque start. Can they keep him and get rid of Clement via trade, waivers or rolled up carpet into the Charles?

I think the refs are going by the fact that they lost sight of the puck in Markkanen's pads. There was no conclusive proof that Staios kept it out of the net. Granted, the whistle should have blown sooner...

I think that if they want to keep it on the air and stay somewhat fresh, they need to start changing locales. In the LA in the "24" timeline (about 7-8 years have passed, considering the space between the seasons) that's an awful lot to happen in one city in 7-8 years. why would anyone live there anymore? I'd say go with NY for season 6, look somewhere else for season 7 (DC?) and possibly overseas for season 8.

Lupul and McDonald are both RFA's. Anaheim has the rights to match any deal they get and I expect Burke to do so. McDonald excelled last season and Lupul is only 22 with a year under his belt. Restricted free agents: Andrew Alberts, D, 25; Patrice Bergeron, C, 20; Brad Boyes, RW, 24; Nick Boynton, D, 27; Milan Jurcina, D, 23; Josh Langfeld, RW, 28; Pat Leahy, RW, 26; Andrew Raycroft, G, 26; Nathan Robinson, LW, 24; David Tanabe, D, 25. Unrestricted free agents: Mariusz Czerkawski, RW, 34; Tom Fitzgerald, RW, 37; Hal Gill, D, 31; Eric Healey, LW, 31; Brad Isbister, LW, 29; Dan LaCouture, LW, 29; Brian Leetch, D, 38; Ian Moran, D, 33; Eric Nickulas, RW, 31; Marty Reasoner, C, 29; Jiri Slegr, D, 35. Those are the Bruins guys (from thn). I helpfully bolded the guys that will hopefully be kept around. edit- I don't know why Czerkawski is on here. He (thankfully) signed somewhere in Europe. May he be hit by BMW.

0-6 against the Rockies and Marlins. Damn that 1993 expansion. Damn that National League. Toronto would be in first if not for them. At least the Yankees and Sox are having their own problems against the dregs of the NL East. The Sawx are close to a weekend sweep against the Bravos. They took two of three from the Phils last month as well. 5-1 record in interleague isn't that much of a problem...

My favorite SNL moment was Nerf crotch bat. I was laughing so hard I could barely breathe. As for Celebrity Jeopardy: Alex: We move on to French Stewart, who is grinning like an idiot. (French's answer to write down a number is 'Threeve') Alex: And you wrote 'Threeve', a mix of three and five. Simply stunning. (don't remember French's response) Alex: And let's see what you've wagered...Texas with a dollar sign.

I LOVE hearing the Canadian anthem sung by the crowd. I bet Cole hurts himself or someone does it for him.

Gabe Kapler was activated when Clement Clement (Hands of cement) was placed on the dl. I like Gabe.

Capologist? This is the same guy that dumped 8 million dollars on Alex Zhamnov, Dave Scatchard and Shawn McEachern. And giving Brian Leetch 4 million... Ouch.

A man can hope, can't he?

Doc and JD have been absolutely tremendous for the duration of the playoffs. Doc could pull a Vin Scully and do the game by himself. JD has been on-topic (which is hard for him to do) and informative. Pierre has even been tolerable.

Is it time for Miami players to commit a crime yet? Ben already did that on yesterday. Miami, FL is the college with the felons. Ben Roethlisberger went to Miami (Ohio). No shit sherlock. It's still Miami. He wasn't specific and it was sarcasm. Miami(OH) has its own felons like Miami(FLA), we just have better lawyers. Well thanks for not overreacting!

Conversation with my girlfriend after Edmonton's first goal: *tv blaring, crowd going apeshit* Me: Man, I wish Samsonov played for the Bruins. Girlfriend: He did remember? MOC traded him for fifty cents on a dollar. Me: *hangs head*

I wish we had HBO so I could watch the comedy shows. I've heard/read good reviews on Lucky Louie and O&A played clips from Tourgasm on the show today. Bobby Kelly sounded great on Tourgasm as well.
