Carolina is 2-2 against Ottawa this season. 10-24: 3-2 Carolina 11-15: 2-1 Carolina 11-22: 5-3 Ottawa 12-28: 6-2 Ottawa I agree that they're not getting the proper respect. But to completely discount Ottawa and Philly in the east is kind of stupid and not giving them the respect they THEY deserve. Buffalo is more dangerous than people think though. I wouldn't say a lot...Anaheim, Phoenix and Minnesota are low seed teams in the East. That's it. That's no worse than it's ever been.

The Flyers are a very good team, but their goaltending leaves a lot to be desired. Until Esche can prove himself, I wouldn't trust him. Niittimaki is a good player, but...Ottawa and Carolina have better goaltending.

I'd still take Ottawa, although the Weight deal is a very good trade for them (I think they gave up an awful lot for a rental player). Ottawa's defense is deeper and with a healthy Hasek, I'd take them over anyone in the NHL.

Eric Staal is the center for the Hurricanes. Marc is his younger brother and is a defenseman. Marc Staal has yet to play an NHL game, he's in the Rangers system. Eric Staal is not a rookie either.

The Crisp deal was finally finished tonight, confirmed by the Indians on ESPNEWS: Red Sox get Crisp, Riske, Bard Indians get Marte, Mota, Shoppach, PTBN and cash considerations. Well, the centerfielder is here and Stark said in an interview that he expects either of the Alex Gonzalez'z or Royce Clayton to be signed...

I take full credit for shit talking Thomas on another board and him being on a big roll. My words of inspiration have clearly gotten through to him. I agree with Bergeron being the MVP of the team right now, but I'll be goddamned if Sturm isn't climbing that ladder two rungs at a time.

Don't jinx it! I've been taping the games and watching them during my stretches of insomnia. They've been playing well since I started doing this, so I guess I'll keep it up.

Yeah and IF Alex Daigle hadn't been a lazy fuck, he could have passed Gretz on many of the all-time lists. I've said it before, it absolutely sucks that we only got to see Le Magnifique play in a total of 889 games. That's criminal. But just because he got sick and injured a lot doesn't mean that we should inflate his numbers and impact anymore than we already do. Mario is one of the best that the game has ever seen, truly. So is Bobby Orr. He revolutionized the position of defenseman. By your argument, IF Orr had been able to escape the pain of completely ravaged knees, he might be the all-time leader in points. So let's retire the #4. Gordie Howe is one of the best to have ever played. Let's retire #9. I think they went a bit overboard with retiring Gretzky's number league-wide because it opens up a big can of worms (why isn't Orr or Howe's number retired league-wide?) but it doesn't mean that we should repeat the mistake. People will remember Mario as what he was; He had a brilliant career that was unfortunately overshadowed by injury and illness, but was one of the most gifted players ever.

I'm not saying dealbreaker, I just hope they can still make the trade without dealing Delcarmen.

Dammit. I like the deal as is. I'm not too warm on giving up Marte/Shoppach/Delcarmen for Crisp/Riske/Bard. I really hope they can get someone added into the deal instead of Delcarmen, like Chad Bradford.

I don't want to lose Delcarmen. Maybe Seanez. Seanez is a bit older than Mota, but has been solid for a longer period of time.

    24: Season 5

Logan's too stubborn to believe someone he doesn't trust. Take his wife, for example. He doesn't trust her because she has mental problems, but even if he pretended to be interested in what she said was a conspiracy theory, who knows what would have happened? Instead, he wrote it off as her being crazy and everything happened the way it did. In Logan's eyes, Martha makes things up and cannot be trusted to speak the truth. Why would it be different for Jack? Yeah, he's saved the country from complete annihilation three times, but as far as Logan is concerned, he killed the Chinese consul and faked his death to get out of punishment. Logan cannot trust Jack. On the other hand, Walt has been with Logan for 15+ years of his political career. Now, Jack brings this to Logan with what proof? "Uh, some guy tried to kill me and I interrogated the guy that let him in and he said that he was ordered to do it by Walt Cummings...oh and by the way, I faked my own death to get away from a Chinese labor camp after potentially putting us into WW3. Nice to meet you, Mr. President." That'll go over like a fart in church. Watching the teaser

    24: Season 5

Unless they get proof on Walt soon, Jack is the one that is fucked. He's accusing the president's right-hand man of treason...Logan already doesn't like Jack and obviously is not going to side with him. I don't know how many people watched the "SCENES FROM NEXT WEEK'S 24" thing, but it's looking like

Anyone see the McGratton/Fedoruk fight last night? I downloaded clips from another board and if there's interest, I'll yousendit them or something. Excellent fight though, good punches, positioning and humor as both guys waved off referees when McGratton fell down unintentionally. Good win for the Bruins as well. I'm very happy with Thomas emerging as a star, but I think it's only a matter of time before he falls back to earth. I don't know what their plans are for Raycroft. Getting Anderson off waivers says that Thomas might be in the NHL permanently, but it doesn't say what the future holds for Rayzor. He could be shutdown for the season because of his knee or he might be traded. I'd rather they hold onto him than trade him for something that might or might not help.

That's easy enough to do; Trade a good name player for it. I did that exact thing with Patrick Marleau prior to the draft in my fifth season.

Upon further review, I think the owner has you eventually run through all of the GM goals in the game. 1- Advance to the second round of the playoffs (went to game seven of the SCF) 2- Go to the SCF (Won the Cup) 3- Win the Cup (Won the Cup) 4- Win the President's Trophy and the Cup (Did both) 5- Win the Rocket Richard trophy (did it, and won the Cup) 6- Finish #1 in powerplay %
