    X-Mas List...

    - 24: Season 4. This has already been preordered by the girlfriend, so it's a matter of waiting until xmas to act surprised. - A new fishtank. Our fishtank is getting old and dirty looking. My fishies look sad. - Tickets to the Bruins/Lightning or Bruins/Panthers games at the end of next month. That's all I really want. I'm really difficult or easy to shop for, depending on how you look at it. I never am good at making lists, but I'll like anything that I get that's normal.

    Pat Morita dead at 73

I'll remember him for Karate Kid 1. The rest were crap. He was gold in the first movie though. I still watch and enjoy it.

    Happy Thanksgiving!

Obviously you don't know how to multi-task. My day: - Work (on-call 9-6) - Thanksgiving 1 with my family (130p-330p). Ate dinner and semi-socialized. - Thanksgiving 2 with the girlfriend's mother's side of the family. Ate more dinner and semi-socialized. (4p-5p) - Thanksgiving 3 at girlfriend's dad's house. Ate half a pumpkin pie and a lot of whipped cream. (530p-615p) Then we came home.

    2005-2006 MLB Offseason thread

If Renteria has another year like last year, I'll be surprised. I don't expect another 30+ error season from him and I think he'll turn his offensive game around. I like Bill Mueller, but his knees have raised a question about his ability to be an everyday thirdbaseman. Lowell can play the position and has more power (Fenway will help him). Even if Lowell doesn't play third and gets moved to first, he's still a better option than Kebah Meelah. I was happy with the Beckett trade as well.

    Happy Turkey Everyone!

All other L&O shows are inferior to SVU. Even the original.

Target 2 Day Ad DVD sale

I might get The Longest Yard at Target, but other than that, I'm unimpressed with them. Last year, I picked up Family Guy vol.1 and Simpsons season 4 for 17.77 each.

A nice win for the B's tonight, of course not everything can go right, as Murray left in the second with what appeared to be a leg injury. Great. Just as he gets going he's hurt again. Razor looked sharp (no pun intended). I didn't see the goal, but he looked good on his saves. A lot of them were tough angle shots, but he still made good saves when he had to. Now, to paraphrase Major League 2: "We won today. If we win one tomorrow, that's called a winning streak. It has happened before."

That Richards goal was one of those goals that is the shooter's responsibility to not screw up. With his momentum bringing him that way, Richards probably hit the puck to 110mph. Esche had no shot, and after that, the game was essentially over. Bruins in Toronto tonight. Hopefully it's not the same "Be in it for two periods then watch it unravel in the third" crap that it's been recently.

    Subfolders.

Plus, it's easy enough to click on 'Sports' and avoid the MMA folder altogether. I didn't even know we had one until now.

    On Black Lushus

Sully seems to not be able to keep the team motivated. They looked crappy in the loss against Buffalo and should have come out and barnstormed the Rangers last night, but they didn't. And as long as everyone is allowed to skate (no pun intended) from any kind of blame, it's going to continue.

    Box-Office Report...

Me and the girlfriend took in Harry Potter on sunday. It wasn't as crowded as I thought it would have been, and I was entertained for the duration of it despite never reading one of the books and seeing five minutes of one of the movies on ABCFamily a few months ago. We'll be seeing Derailed and Jarhead soon enough.

In (dis)honor of AD being cancelled

Exactly. I started not enjoying the newer episodes, so I stopped watching. I'll buy the dvd's until season 9, but that's where I stopped liking the episodes.

Unless you were kidding when you said that, I completely disagree. A resurgent Jagr and some surprisingly good goaltending is why the Rangers are where they are. Not energy players.

He is? At worst, he's a #3 starter. On Texas, he instantly becomes their ace.

The sad thing is that I didn't even watch the game tonight. I opted for the less painful rape and sexual misconduct that a Law and Order: Special Victims Unit mini-marathon offers.

Don't waste your money, unless you have a way of keeping it icey cold. It tastes like flat grape soda once it gets a little bit warm.

While Scatchard has been playing well, he's replaceable by a young forward. Tanabe isn't that great defensively, but he's a warm, healthy body to have on the backend. Not a superb defensive defenseman, but...take what they can get.
  24. He doesn't push that as a means of selling his show. Just when some people don't "get it" and mouth off to him about his college football picks being completely wrong or ripping him for admitting that he'd probably have done steroids. Herd is a strongly opinionated guy and can talk about football too much for my tastes, but he backs up his points and takes other views into consideration. Plus, he said in an interview with our local ESPN guy that sometimes on his show, he has a segment that makes his listeners decide whether or not they want to listen anymore. A few months ago, he took a stand on something that made quite a few people email in and state that they weren't going to listen to him anymore. He said in the interview with the local guy that something like that is what sports talk is about. Sometimes, you throw something out there and if people don't like it, they leave. And both sides are better off. I honestly don't think he'll be fired or will he quit. This is his living. And everyone who has made a petition to have him fired, you've given him what he wants. Attention. The high level mustaches at ESPN may have said something to him, but it's been a few days. If he were supposed to have apologized he'd have done it by now.
