Don't get me wrong, I still love my PS3. I was just pissed to no end when the laser shit the bed in less then a week.

Quick follow up. Called Sony today, and they were pretty easy going. Told the guy the drive stopped working, and that it wont read anything. Made sure I was still under warranty, and then got my shipping info to get the unit replaced or repaired. Entire call was about 5 minutes. He said it can take 2 - 3 days to fix/replace it once they receive it, which isn't too bad. Hopefully the next one wont die on me.

Yeah, I tried everything tonight to get the disc to read, but no luck. I just get the little loading circle in the top right hand corner, but none of the discs ever load. Looks like I'll be calling Sony tomorrow. Speaking of which, anyone know how their customer service is? I know the MIcrosoft's is horrible, so I just pray that they can either fix it over the phone, or not have me waiting too long to get it repaired.

I'm less then a month with mine and it just stopped reading discs earlier today. Tried a few discs....nothing. Going to try a few other things this evening to get it working.

Time to open this old thread again..... So I've had my PS3 for a few weeks now, and I'm quickly starting to develop a bit of a love/ hate relationship with it. First it stopped randomly giving me video or audio through the HDMI cable. I reset my TV, and then it worked fine. Yesterday I was playing Motorstorm, and as soon as the race was over I had no sound or picture. Popped out the disc and I had sound and picture again. Popped the disc back in and now it doesn't read the damn disc. I haven't had time to try some other troubleshooting steps, but if my laser is gone already I'm going to have a shit fit. Ironically, I got a PS3 because I didn't want to get a 360 because of the know hardware issues they are having.....hopefully it was something stupid and my PS3 makes a liar out of me.

If you paid attention, he only reviewed it for the Wii. He even says later on in the review that he wonders if he reviewed it for the 360 or PS3 if it would have seemed as bad.

According to Wiki there appears to be trophies in the PS3 version. I'll probably hold off till the new year (or until the price drops a lot) before picking it up for the PS3. I have NHL 09, Motorstorm, Resistance, Pain, 1942 and Mortal Kombat II to occupy me for the time being on my PS3, so there is no real lack of entertainment on my PS3 at the moment.

Yeah, there are a few bugs in Be a Pro mode. The lack of line juggling, etc is kind of lame. I really hate how your stats tank if your on the ice for a goal against. Also, it's starting to piss me off that my centers never go off for a change. My 2 wingers can be out for a full shift and the 4 line centre is still out on the ice until the next shift starts. I may play it through for a while until the season starts, or until there is an up to date roster patch released so I can start my dynasty with rosters that somewhat resemble the current ones.

Well, people made fun of me on here when I said JBL's title run sucked and I said I didn't watch it, yet, I doubt anyone would disagree with me on that. As for No Mercy, I thought this PPV was really bad besides the 2 main events of course. And I too am getting really mad at WWE for putting on pointless talk segments that run on for like 20 mins. when they could actually have booked guys on the show. As for people who didn't think CM Punk would be buried, how about him not being booked on this show? The guy had the world title on the last PPV, to not even being booked on the next one. That's like Jericho in 2002 level of buried. He is not getting fucking buried. Can you people please stop using that stupid term? The guy, Punk is feuding with can not wrestle right now, and if Punk touches him he will be suspended. Punk already broke that rule by slapping the shit out of Orton, and got a pass from Shane. So Punk is one up in the feud, and Orton is pissed that Punk got away with it. He isn't getting fucking buried. He's in a feud with the stable that helped Orton put him out, seeing as he CAN'T touch Orton right now, it makes sense that he goes after the guys he can do something about. How is this shit hard too understand? Yeah, I really don't get people saying that Punk is being buried. Hell, the guy was world champ for a few months and it can be tough on the body and mind. It's normal to see champions not work a lot, or be involve in less physical and more psychological feuds immediately after losing the world title. Gives them a chance to rest their bodies. Plus, I think the Punk/ Orton feud could be a big one, so it looks like it just a matter of making sure both guys are ready to go and well rested, thats all.

Only one I lived through was last years Rockies/ Padres game, which was a great game....too bad the ump fucked up big time on the last run. Gotta love how you can get tagged and never touch the plate, and still be called safe.

I guess I'll have to play it a bit, but I really don't the overwhelming amount of hype for this game. Looks like a cute little platformer that has a unique "create a level" feature. I have nothing against the game, but I really havent been pissing my pants is sheer anticipation for the game or anything.

I thought the demo was ok, but I can see it getting old fairly quick. I may pick up the game down the road if I can get it cheap at EB games, but from everything that I've heard so far, I have no intentions on spending $60 for a so-so game.

Like Fazzle, it probably took me about a dozen games as well. I remember coming home with '07 and thinking how awful it was the first few games. Then once you're used to it, how did we play with the d-pad for so many years? The skill stick is much better. Oh yeah, I agree the skill stick is far better, I'm rust at hockey games in general. I haven't played a NHL game since 05 I think. I'm firing a lot of bad shots on goal just so I can get used to the shooting mechanic. Dekeing is still something I can't quite master yet (I tend to shoot too early) but it should come with time.

Dumb question: How long did it take most of you to get used to the right analog stick shooting mechanic? I'm kind of getting the hang of it, but I really suck when it comes to trying to pull off a deke. Thank God for practice mode.

I thinking about restarting mine and going centre as well. I'm a playmaker, but when my team can't get control of the puck long enough for me to make a play, it make my productivity falter a bit. Oh, and being on the ice for a goal against seems to rank a little too high against you. All the same, I gotta say I'm loving BAP so far.

I think that it would be a different dynamic if all 5 guys started off in the ring together. These kinda feels like an elimination chamber without any eliminations and with a time limit. Guess we'll see after tonight if this idea has legs or not.

Where'd you find this? It looks kinda fake considering it doesn't have any og the brand logos on the bottom, I'm leaning towards the fake route myself

Saw it in IMAX last night and it was well worth the money. Not a lot of scenes were shot in IMAX, but the ones that were were amazing

I'll be the judge of it when I see him in the make-up. As for the character, Billy Bob has proved that he can play a sick, twisted, fowl mouthed cunt with the best of them, so I don't see any issues there.
