Random Thoughts 3-27-08 to 5-28-08
AntiLeaf33 replied to Cheech Tremendous's topic in The WWE Folder
In all fairness, Knox was using it long before Kennedy started using it -
Marc Savard's back is broken Gesh, I knew Begin got him, but turns out he got him a lot hell of a lot better then I thought
-
I've always been more of a WWE fan then a WCW fan, but what I always dug about WCW was the outstanding mid-card guys they had, and the nice little matches they used to have every week. Also, I loved how WCW was big enough to be a serious contender and actually made both themselves and the WWE better as result
-
Awesome! Book it
-
If they do have to use a tent, I doubt it if they will use that one. More then liely it will just be a clear tent
-
What will they do if they start to get lightning at the beginning of the Money In the Bank match? They can't seriously expect guys to climb up a steel ladder to grab a metal briefcase during a lightning storm, can they?
-
They have to make up 6 points in 5 games plus jump over 4 teams to get in. Yeah, they're done.

Triple H Undertaker Mayweather via someone costing Show the match (maybe a new guy can debut here and set up a post Mania fued with Show) Jericho (but he won't cash in the title shot till well after SummerSlam) HBK (via some type of roll up or quick pin so we can have Ric Flair sit in the ring for a minute with the "I can't believe I just lost" look on his face) Umaga (going out on a limb) JBL (again, going out on a limb but I can see Hornswoggle turn heel and cost Finlay the match...then JBL will destory Hornswoggle the next night on RAW and effectivly kill off the character) Maria/Ashley (but who cares, I just want this segment dedicated to some Santino and Snoopy the Dogg gold!) Kane wins the rumble and the ECW title

I wonder if Rock personally picked these matches. That would probably be the only reason BENOIT is back on DVD. Gotta be. That said, I wonder if he will say anything prior to the matches, or if he will just talk about the fued/story line heading into the match.
-
Yeah, I just noticed that on WWE.com. What the fuck is with that? Can't show the paying crowd a fun little battle royal?
-
well, if it rains during WrestleMania, don't ever plan on seeing another outdoors WWE PPV for a long, long time....if ever
-
Fuck, what is Punk about 158-1 against Morrison/Nitro in non-title matches now?
-
Whats the first pay per view you saw live?
AntiLeaf33 replied to Frankie Williams's topic in General Wrestling
I think the first PPV I saw live on TV was probably the first In Your House. I was pretty excited watching it (up that that point I only caught RAW and SuperStars, so very seldom did I actually see a big payoff match) I've never seen a PPV live and I've only seen 3 WWE House Shows....man, it sucks to be in Newfoundland -
The WrestleMania sets I got were in a stand with mostly Wrestling DVD's
-
Well, now that I have 3/4 of the WrestleMania sets, I'll have to swing by the other Wal-Marts in town (we have like 3 or 4 within 30 minutes of my house) Hopefully I can land it for cheap
-
Just got back from Wal-Mart and the have a shitload of WWE DVD's on sale. They have a bunch of single PPV's on for $6.66, the Flair, Hogan, and Piper sets all for $14.88, and I bought Volumes 2, 3 and 4 of the WrestleMania sets for $14.88 each (Volume 1 was gone)

Santino was gold. The Snoppy the Dog comment had me in stitches. Big Shows punch on Jericho didn't look like anything special live, but looked really nice on the replay. Carlito and Punk did seem a bit sloppy at the begnning (a trend with a lot of Punk matches as of late) but was some-what rescued by a decent finish. The main even was different, but I completely dug it. I made Cena and Orton look amazing, and Cena setting up the RKO was one of the cooler looking spots I've seen in a while
-
Machine Head would be a nice addition Also, I would like to see some AC/DC on here just from a pure, party, good time, everyone knows the song stand point
-
I ordered it yesterday, and I noticed the times were a bit weird
-
A lot can happen in 7 months. Prices could change, some crazy awesome exclusive game could come out of nowhere. 360s may have the cooler GPU in them by August, which should theoretically make them a lot more reliable. Thats why I said I'm leaning towards the PS3. The final decision won't be made until I'm probably a week or so before I choose to buy the system.

Chris Jericho's New Shirt Poll
-
I was strongly leaning towards getting a 360 in October (once school is done for me and I have free time again), but the high failure rate is starting to make me lean towards the PS3 now.
-
Not for me to know of. But I would assume that if someone like Jeff got himself clean, and 5 years down the road he gets busted for taking painkillers on a prescription that expired a few days ago, they would have some type of leniency.

Hornswoggle is finally gettnig a shirt!!!!!!

Didn't see the spoilers for this weeks SmackDown listed anywhere yet, so I figured I'd post them. WWE SmackDown Taping Results *Spoilers* Date Added: March 04, 2008 Story By: Ryan Gray Credit: WrestlingNewsWorld.com: WWE taped this week’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown from the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. They taped ECW on Sci-Fi earlier in the night. Below are pre-show notes and match results from this week's tapings. I apologize for the lack of detail as we were not given a lot of information but at least we have results. Pre-Show Notes: - They are having an ice storm in Cleveland right now, so it might be causing some transportation problems. Our correspondent arrived several minutes late. - According to our correspondent, the arena is 70% full. Again, attendance could be effected by the severe weather. Dark Match: Kofi Kingston def. Kevin Thorn WWE SmackDown (Air Date 3/07): The show opens with the Cutting Edge segment with Ric Flair as Edge's guest. Flair talks trash to Edge and calls his relationship with Vickie Guerrero a sham. Eventually Flair slaps Edge and Vickie Guerrero breaks up the fight. Jesse, Festus, & CM Punk def. Chavo Guerrero, The Miz, & John Morrision Festus hit his finisher on The Miz to pick up the victory. A backstage vignette airs with Jamie Noble and Michelle McCool. It is announced that Undertaker will face Edge, Zack Ryder, and Curt Hawkins later tonight. Shannon Moore def. Deuce Jimmy Wang Yang came out with Moore while Domino was with Deuce. Moore won the match via pinfall after he hit a superkick on Deuce. US Champion MVP def. Batista to retain The match was in and out of the ring. MVP picked up the victory when Batista was counted out. Backstage segment with Jamie Noble. He says that he wants to face Chuck Palumbo, however, Palumbo is set to go against Kane tonight. Noble will face Big Show. It was confirmed that television personality Kim Kardashian will be a guest at WrestleMania XXIV. A WWE Diva swimsuit competition is next. Featured are Eve Torres, Maryse, Victoria, Michelle McCool, and Cherry. It is announced that one diva will be voted off each week as fans will be able to vote through text messages. During the segment, Victoria fell off the middle turnbuckle. Kane def. Chuck Palumbo I was told it was pretty much a squash with Palumbo walking right into Kane's chokeslam. Kane got the pinfall for the victory. Big Show def. Jamie Noble Noble got himself disqualified by hitting a low blow on Big Show. Big Show retaliated with a severe beat down that resulted on Noble being busted open. He gets on the mic and taunts Floyd Mayweather. World Heavyweight Champion Edge, Zack Ryder, & Curt Hawkins defeat The Undertaker. The only information that I got from the match was that Ryder, Hawkins, and Edge won the bought after Edge hit a Spear. It was given a significant amount of time.
