So if Lashley has to spend a lot of time off to recovery, I wonder if he will lose any and all momentum that he had going for him (ala Batista after he had to surrender the WHC)

I have faith in the games for the PS3, but right now with its high price tag and lack of exclusive games, the only real selling point I can think of is the relatively cheap blue ray player.

Good to see the Simpsons cleaning up at the box office. TOo bad I don't get paid for another 2 weeks though.....

I'd still hit Topanga

So, does anyone know if the home teams are wearing the colored jerseys at home again next year?

Chris Benoit Dead - Toxicology results released
AntiLeaf33 replied to Human Fly's topic in The WWE Folder
I would say the majority of people now consider him amoungst the lowest peices of scum on the earth. I really don't know what to think of it all to be honest. On one end I see a man with such passion for his craft and the desire and mental thoughness to will his way to the top. I also see a man that, perhaps, applied too much pressure to himself which rendered him unstable. Then I see a man who's world was turned upside down when his best friend died of a heart attack. Then on the other end I see a man who either snapped or planned to kill his family. I see a man who always took the high road in life, only to take the subway out. As for him professionally and all of his phenominal matches; Maybe down the road I may be able to watch them and appreciate the classics that they are. I do own the Chris Benoit: Hard Knocks DVD and I can pretty much gaurantee that I will never watch the feature to that disc again. The matches? Maybe. But I'll never be able to stomach the feature again. On the flip side; If Eddie Guerrero was to die in one of his random, drugged out "trips", what kind of a legacy would he have? Also, Mike Awesome took his life not too long ago, how does that effect the way people look at his career? Then again, neither one of them will ever be labelled murderers. -
Habs resigned Ryder to a 1 year deal. Link

That new Panthers jersey is fugly. I'm not a fan of how most of the new jerseys are pretty much the same format, only re-colored

Wrestling Observer News (March 1986)
AntiLeaf33 replied to Bruiser Chong's topic in General Wrestling
I'm curious, when there wasn't a match happening in one of the arenas did they have any "dark matches" or did the crowd have to watch the screens and wait their turn to see a match? -
Until the Habs can aquire a consistant goal scorer then they need to lock Ryder up for at least 2 or 3 years. Say what you want about him but the guy has 85 goals in his first 3 years on a team that doesn't score a lot. Sure his +/- sucked last year, but the whole top lines +/- was shit. It should improve with Souray gone

It really makes no difference to me if they sign him or not. If they do get him for that price he'll probably be a 7th D-Man who will probably be in the press box more nights then not. Also, I'm kind of curious as to how the Montreal fans will respond to him. They pretty much booed him out of town during his last stint in Montreal

I was not much of a wrestling fan back in the days of squashes. Since I couldn't order the PPV's there was nothing really worth watching half of the time.

WWE General Discussion for July 2007
AntiLeaf33 replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in The WWE Folder
Where? On ECW? If they get a second hour they should consider it. As for now, it would be too much of a tangle to have another mid-card belt WCW had a TV title, too. They're already using the US title... I don't think that ECW really needs another belt I don't think any brand needs another belt. Hell, there are already 9 titles floating around now. After a while it starts to dilute what being a champion means if there are too many of them in the company -
I don't mind a new guy winning a squash or 2 when they debut a new guy, but having an already established guy beating jobbers in squashes is just a waste of time

As long as they only use the Black Sabbath song in the trailer then I really don't have too much of an issue with it. If it appears anywhere in the movie except for ending credits, then it gets pretty lame.

With Smackdown going to HD, I wonder how long it will take for them to switch to HD for PPV's
-
I thought they were still referred as the Brood
-
Aside from the Main Event it looked like a pretty middle of the road PPV. That, and the fact that I really don't feel like watching something so somber is why I never bothered to watch the entire PPV

Ctrl+Alt+Del Comics had a pretty funny commentary on the PS3 this week

I can't wait to play this just so I can do the Pounce!!!!!! Also, I wonder if they will put all of Punk's tattoos on correctly (IE: the Pepsi tattoo)

With Dupree gone, who will have random crotch related incidents happen in their matches? Also, I really loved Dupree's promo he cut in ECW when he was wearing a towel, then looked at his crotch, and had a very impressed smile on his face. I had a good laugh at that. -
Who do you want to win the WWE Championship Match at SummerSlam?
AntiLeaf33 replied to Lil' Bitch's topic in The WWE Folder
Giving the run Orton is on, he could be pretty entertaining as Champ. I would much prefer to see a heel getting a heel reaction as Champ over a face getting a tweener/heel reaction as Champ. -
Congress Asks Vince McMahon For WWE Testing Details & Results
AntiLeaf33 replied to Enigma's topic in The WWE Folder
It's going to be intresting how Vince and Co. weasel their way out of this and if there will be any change in the on-screen product after this. Also, I wonder how many guys are still actively taking Vitimin S after everything that is going down. I wouldn't be surprised to see some guys "deflate" a bit and then once this clears to be infalted again. -
If I hadn't known any better I would have thought that was Chris Cornell at first. I had to have a second look to realise that it was Robert Downey Jr. in that pic.
