Ok, I can buy the reason why he killed Daniel giving those set of circumstances (I don't agree with it nor am I justifying it), but why the hell would he tie up and strangle Nancy. If he was truly upset and angry that she was going to take Daniel away from him, then I can see if Benoit slapped/punched her in a fit of rage (Once again, I'm not condoning these actions). To tie someone up and strangle them to death with a cord......thats fucking insane. Sorry Benoit, I once held you in such high regards, but now I could not give a fiddler's fuck about you. RIP Nancy and Daniel

I thought I heard a report that said they were going to give the belt to Benoit on ECW (Clearly this was between Vengence and knowing what happened).

Who else would they use? Burke and Cor Von already lost their opportunity to wrestle for the belt. So who else was left? Tommy? Balls? Nitro was the only real choice left over.

All we really need now is a motive and a more fleshed out timeline. Sure, we know when they all died, but it would be good to have a better time line to really figure out this mess.

I doubt it. Why would they want to make a DVD and sink money into a DVD bashing a guy who killed his family. Sure they made a DVD about Warrior being an idiot, and such, but this would be a DVD about a guy who killed him family. I really don't see it happening at all.

Actually, that's the only ting that makes me a little/tiny bit better. As in " I did an awful thing but I hope they at least go to heaven" sort of thing. Hoping that Benoit had at least one moment of clarity/lucidity before he died. I know where your going with this. Maybe he tried to repent his sins, or make sure they were taken care of in the after life. But after hearing how he killed them, the fact that he tied Nancy up, and he killed a fucking 7 year old in cold blood certainly does not make me feel any better.

Yeah. If we are going with the notion of Heaven & Hell, the substance abuser and the murderer aren't going to the good one. Which raises the question: Is it better to sin at the beginning of your life, seek forgiveness, and die, OR lead a fairly good life, commit a horrible act and die? I'll grant it, Eddie never killed anyone, but I'm just asking a general question.

I wonder if they told wrestlers no tributes to Chris Benoit. I'm sure they have. Also, does anyone else ever remember a wrestling-related story been the top story on CNN? Just wondering. Owens death was pretty high up there.

nothing seems to have been officially released by him. No mention of it on his web site as of yet J.R. seemed to make it clear on Raw that Jericho had been informed. It wouldn't surprise me to see something soon. Yeah, it's going to be interesting to hear from Jericho on this one. The Eddie situation a few years ago was pretty hard on him, and I beleieve he was a bit closer to Benoit.

I'm sure they were operating in typical WWE style and had no idea who it was going to be at this point. That was my assumption

not that I'm doubting you or wwe.com, but I'll wait until the investigation has been concluded before I start sifting through the facts. As it stands right now, however, it certainly is looking like a double murder - suicide.

Yeah, thats what I would be putting my money on. CNN probably just remembered that it was a wrestling personality, and 2 weeks later one is dead. They are simply playing a piss poor game of connect the dots.
