    Wearing belts

I like it when the guy wears it around the waist for a title defence, and around the waist for a promo.

    What was worse?

You can't compare them. WWE might be in a funk creatively, but they are still profitable and drawing money. WCW was losing money like crazy in 2000.

I have the Wrestlemania Anthology Collection

That's why he's rich, he doesn't pay anymore then he has to.
  4. Can anyone name some SummerSlam's that were great? Any SummerSlam's with any good build ups? Like 98 for example that had both the Austin/Taker match building since May as well as the Rock/HHH blowoff. Any other good ones?

    Requesting help with an essay

I wrote a position paper on wrestling needing an off season from this pwtorch article http://www.pwtorch.com/artman/publish/article_15380.shtml You could use some of it as saying the schedule is too grueling...

WON Notes for Dec 6th issue

I can name a few wrestlers that party a lot and you'd be surprised. I work as a nightclub promoter in Toronto, and a lot of wrestlers will call the club owner I work for and ask to party at his place. I've seen Jericho polish off a bottle of Crown Royal by himself and still stand. A lot of wrestlers "party". It's nothing new.

    Shawn Michaels' Autobiography

Also he tries to legitimize his knee injury as the reason as to why he couldn't wrestle at WrestleMania 13 (which was an awful WrestleMania save for one match). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I thought this was common knowledge. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> When I mean legitimize his knee injury, I mean that he tries to make it seem like his knee was so shredded that there was no possible way he could walk, let alone work at WrestleMania. He writes how he went to see Dr Andrews (I think) and Andrews telling him his career was over, etc, etc. He seems to downplay his not wanting to job to Bret, and tries to spin it that his knee was totally brutal which is funny considering his great return match on Raw with Austin vs Owen and Bulldog.

    A WWE off-season

I just finished typing up an essay on this very subject for my English class. Here's an except from it "Physically, life on the road is just as draining. Wrestlers do not have enough time in the day to properly eat and train their bodies. Healing from the bumps and bruises takes a lot of time, and if a wrestler is competing five times a week, the nagging injuries are worsened, and the performer is more susceptible to injury. This is where drug issues come to the forefront. It has been well documented within the wrestling business, that steroids and painkillers are used by the wrestlers in order to deal with the road life. Steroids are used to make up for the lack of gym time. Painkillers are used to mask the pain of nagging injuries. Over time, the abuse of these drugs leads to serious health complications, and even death. In the past decade, several ex-wrestlers aged 35-45 have died because of symptoms linked to the abuse of painkillers and steroids. Such superstars as Rick Rude, The Big Boss man, Road Warrior Hawk, Hercules Hernandez, etc died from heart complications from steroid and painkiller abuse. The WWE needs to give wrestlers extended periods of time off, because these wrestlers should not be dying so young."

If You Were A Wrestler, What Accomplishments

I'd like to main event successful WrestleMania's, winning the title in the first one, and successfully defending it in the second one. I would like to work a program with a youngster, beating him easily as our feud begins, but as the matches progress it gets harder and harder for me to put the youngster away. Near the middle of the feud, the youngster almost wins a few times, and then barely squeaks out a win. As the feud concludes, the wrestler would beat me faster and easier than the previous time. I would sell for him and make him look like a million dollars. Speaking of a million dollars, I would like to make a million dollars out of the McMahons' money.

Worst excuse to get out of a job/angle?

if it wasn't for his injuries and his causing injuries, I wouldn't blame him for this line of thinking....dude was over huge, rather anyone wants to admit it or not... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Here's some added info from the Torch, in case anyone is interested. Torch Newsletter Archive By Wade Keller, Torch editor WWF Newswire Originally published: Pro Wrestling Torch Weekly newsletter #481 Cover dated: February 28, 1998 AHMED ON SHAKY GROUND Ahmed Johnson (Tony Norris) refused, when asked, to do a clean job to Kurrgan's claw at the Feb. 16 Raw tapings. He left the arena and didn't show up for work the next night at the Feb. 17 Raw tapings. As of deadline Ahmed had not yet been officially fired, but he may soon be dismissed and is at the very least in the doghouse. From very early on in his stint in the WWF, Ahmed developed an attitude. A few months into his WWF run, Ahmed showed some fellow wrestlers his ranking in Pro Wrestling Illustrated's rankings as evidence that he should be getting a bigger push and a run with a title. He said from an early point that he didn't like doing jobs. WWF wrestlers laughed at him for being a "mark" for himself and not understanding "the business" aspect of wrestling. In the last two years, he has been out with injuries more than he has wrestled, and he has injured others. He was in the WWF's dog house until showing up at the recent training session in good shape. However, his wrestling and interview skills still weren't developing at a satisfactory pace. The WWF's enthusiasm for him had tempered to the point that he was asked to do a squash job to Kurrgan, which he balked at doing. Because of his reputation, a WCW source says they have no plans to pursue Ahmed should he become free from his WWF contract. http://www.pwtorch.com/artman/exec/view.cgi/17/2939/printer

Okay, someone explain this to me...

The stuff may have happened before the suit, but they are currently drawing revenue on those matches (matches on 24/7, DVD's etc) so they must not use the initials "WWF" or the scratch logo.

"I don't like doing jobs." Ahmed Johnson.
