    NFL Week 14

When the Ravens were pounding the ball on that last drive, I knew they were eventually going to take a nail-in-the-coffin shot against the Skins, and sure enough they did, and to my suprise the correct defense was actually called. Even though Rogers was beat pretty bad, the ball seemed to be floating enough that he had time to catch up and deflect it, but he broke one of the golden rules of the CB position which is to keep an eye on the ball. Instead of turning his head around and seeing he was on pace to get there before the ball, he just runs straight at the WR not ever looking back. I still can't be mad at Skins defense, they played well enough for a team with even a medicore offense to win.

Partially blocked punt.....Wow, this could get upsetting fast. Come on Defense, make a freakin' play.

Well that was a waste of a first possession. I am not so upset about the INT, I mean the QB's arm was hit, but the Ravens kind of moved the ball with ease....ugh.

    NFL Week 14

What comes first Division record or Conference record? Dallas is what 2-2 vs the division? Washington is 2-3. So I guess for all intensive purposes it is too early because they both still have division games left, but does Washington(if) winning bump Atlanta out and make the two wildcard sports WSH & Dallas? I dunno...brain hurting.....ready for SNF..... EDIT: 1. Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games between the clubs). 2. Best winning percentage in games played within the division. 3. Best winning percentage in common games. 4. Strength of victory (winning% of defeated teams by the clubs). 5. Strength of schedule (winning% of all teams played by the clubs). 6. Best combined ranking among division teams in points scored and points allowed. 7. Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed. 8. Best net points in common games. 9. Best net points in all games. 10. Best net touchdowns in all games

    NFL Week 14

If the Redskins win tonight, they take the Cowboys spot. They have a better NFC conference record so far through the season. The Cardinals game being the difference. If the Skins and Cowboys have the same record going into Week 17 it will come down to the Skins beating the 49ers. Of course, the Redskins beating Baltimore & Philly is another story. I doubt they can beat them both, so I am hoping for one more loss this season from the Cowboys and Atlanta.

So does the game end once the first person wins it or does it just keep going for everyone else?

    NFL Week 14

Well, December's favorite Tony Romo showed up today!!! Cowboys fans must really love how whenever Romo gets his hands on the ball in big games, he tries to force something that isn't there which creates a turnover. Drew Bledsoe taught him so very well!!!! Ok Skins, time to take care of business in Baltimore *crosses fingers*

yeah Tomlin, how was that decision to go for it feelin' now? Would have been 16-13.

    NFL Week 14

Dallas gets away with an obvious PI there, but at least the FG manages to go in. Steelers still have a reasonable chance to tie if they can force a 3 & Out. The question is will the Cowboys run the ball to milk the clock and put the game in their D's hands or will they try and force Pittsburgh hand which has a higher risk/reward probabiliity.

You can enter the neutral zone as long as you get back before they snap that ball. I know that. I wasn't talking about that play in particular from earlier were like 2-3 'boys jumped and got back. I am talking about when D-lineman are trying to guess the snap count and the lunge over as the ball is being snapped. It does work sometimes, but it is close enough that it should be watched more carefully, because that is a tremedous advantage for a defender to cross early.

Mike Tomlin, stop clapping you fool. In a close, low-scoring game you take the points. Seriously, WTF?

    NFL Week 14

It seems certain players get away with going offsides on a cosistent basis, and the announcers will write if off as "he timed the snap count" yet, I'm not buying it. When the crowd has enough time between the defender crossing the neutral zone to go "awwwwwwwwwwwwww wtf" and the ball still hasn't been snapped, it is offsides.

    Friday The 13th (2009)

Yeah, the first 30 seconds of the new trailer, took away some excitement that I had after viewing the teaser. It had all the attributes of new-age horror, everyone looks too glossy and perfect, you have random hip radio song blaring etc etc.... However, then it all got better once the girl had a Jason sighting. It this trailer is an indication of how the actual finished product will be then Rob Zombie needs to watch this and learn that when you remake a horror movie with an iconic villian like Jason(or oooh saaay Michael Myers) we don't need you going and inventing a new background and "emotional element" to the character. The character(s) is popular and has been a fan favorite long before you got your hands on a script. Just give us an update and some cool deaths. It's a slasher film for fucks sake.

Steelers are probably kicking themselves for not scoring a TD when they got the INT. With game conditions like these, that might be the closest either team gets to the opposing goal line.

Some people still insist that Owens' nonsense is acceptable as long as he performs well on the field, but his nonsense leads to things like that last INT by Romo. Owens was blanketed, but the Cowboys recently seemed to be determined to force the ball to Owens regardless of if he is covered or not, and I am sure it has NOTHING to do with Owens constant whining and crying. Of course at some point, Romo is just going to have to do what all Owens' other QBs have done and stop being Mr. "aww shucks, I don't mind" nice-guy, and tell Owens to STFU, and at that point the rest of us can sit back and watch the hilarity begin.

    NFL Week 14

I feel pretty much the same way. I'm totally okay with the 2008 NFC North Champion Minnesota Vikings. Better yet, I'd feel great if no one won this fucking division and they let some other more deserving team from the NFC South or East get in instead. I dont get the complete hate for the Vikings. They did beat Carolina, beat NO in NO, dominated Indy for 90% of that game. Played the Titans close. Plus lost by 7 or less to the packers in Green Bay, the Bucs in Tampa, the bears in Chicago. Their biggest lose was by 13 to the Titans in their spot. I mean if you loses are all as quailty as the Vikings have been I dont get the complete disrespect. Im not saying the are the cream of the NFC I'm just saying they arent as bad as some of you make them out to be. I'd say they are middle of the pack, but at this point in the season you're either in the playoff hunt or forgotten about.

Its windy all over the NE today, and doesnt bode well for the Ravens/Skins game either. Oh, and I think Romo was down before the ball came out. That's all right, unless the Redskins can run the ball, their passing game mine as well be played in horrible conditions. x2

    NFL Week 14

The Dal/Pitt game looks like it could come down to which team's defense can score will win, or at least give them a huge advantage, as so far neither offense can really sustain a drive, rather merely get a chunk of yards here and there. Must be some damn windy conditions.

Nah man. If the Giants lose today they'll be pissed and Dallas hates playing physical teams. Whether they win or lose in Pittsburgh, their bodies aren't going to feel very good afterwards and they should be ripe for a Giants "response" ass-kicking. The Giants have given up about 103 straight 3rd down conversions to the Eagles. They've gotten the life kicked out of them on both sides of the ball, and Philly doesn't have a fraction of the skills players that Dallas does. Ross and Jacobs both got hurt and as we've seen in their two losses, when the Giants can't control TOP, they lose badly. If Barber doesn't play again next week that actually hurts the Giants because then Dallas will just pass all game and there's no way we can cover TO, Williams, Crayton, Witten and whoever else without any kind of pass rush. I don't believe the Giants have put McNabb on his ass once this game and Romo is far more mobile. If Dallas wins today then can close within a game of the division title by winning at home, and I think that's exactly what will happen. So you think Dallas is winning today? I don't think it's impossible for Dallas to beat the Giants, but I just think the Giants D-line will overmatch the Cowboy's O-line and Romo is prone to making mistakes under pressure in big games that mean a lot. Check out his career record in december and beyond. As far as today's game goes, dude it's an NFC East division game. You know what crapshoots these can be from week-to-week. The Eagles are not a bad team, and whether their record shows it or not they are one of the most physical teams in the league, especially on defense.

    De La Hoya vs Pacquiao

Going into the fight, Oscar's only real chance was catching Pacman with a huge left hook anyway. Oscar at this age doesn't have the conditioning to keep pace with a burner like Pacquaio, and he certainly didn't even attempt to throw enough jabs to keep Pacquaio from moving inside at will. Freddie Roach gets his revenge on Oscar "Ill never fight again without you in my corner" De La Hoya. Next up for the Mexicutioner? How much bigger is Maragrito? I know Margarito is fighting Mosley next, but if he wins, and is willing to move down a bit, I think Margarito v. Pacquaio would be an amazing war. EDIT: Oh and someone explain a $30 cover for a boxing match. That means if it is you and a buddy, you could get the PPV at home for less then it costs just to walk through the doors of the bar. Even if you are by yourself, $30 cover w/food & drink would easily match the price of the PPV. Hooters by my place has $0.00 cover.

    NFL Week 14

Trying to make the argument after today's game that the Giants good defense goes beyond their outstanding D-line is going to have a harder time convincing anyone now. Pierce is having a hell of a time trying to cover Westbrook. Of course, most teams can't block this D-line successfully without using a TE or two to stay in and help, which really limits the passing game.

Food Network and food shows thread

I haven't eaten there yet but I have driven by it a lot, hahaha. How is it? I am sure the food is good but how is it price-wise? I have though, eaten at The Squeeze Inn which was featured on Diners Drive-Ins and Dives. I posted a picture of the Double Squeeze w/Cheese in another thread.
  25. Instead of stupid fucking Twilight aka Dawson's Creek w/Fangs......people should be flocking something actually original and pretty damn good in this genre...like this... http://www.lettherightoneinmovie.com/
