Remember the show, "Out of this World" with Eevie. She could freeze time..... -
I liked the first one the best and thought it ended just fine and there was no need for any continuation from there on out.

I think what happened was that Kim approached Tony B. like it would be a partnership as in 50/50 profit sharing and 50/50 work. Yet Tony B. found that he was doing all the work to set the place up, get it going etc......and Kim would just check over him once in awhile with an attitude like he was superior. Like how he came in while Tony B. was painting and said, "blah blah PARTNER blah blah" and that enraged Tony B. They kind of hurried the storyline, but you could still get the jist of it pretty good. In otherwords, Tony B. felt like he was being scammed.

EDIT: Double Post, damn you, classroom computer.

No, SUVS were not originally marketed to women. They were basically marketed to guys that were buying big trucks under the falsehood of now being some sort of "outdoorsman" for owning an SUV. Then the second wave of the SUV phenomenom was marketed towards women by claiming that SUVs were somehow more safe for them and the kids. Oh and MikeSC, My SUV-Tractor comment was based on the 4 page article someone posted here approx a year ago or so. I am not sure if it can be dug up unless the person who posted it back then can retrieve it.

I understand why some people think that hybrid cars are a good idea and all, but they are not big enough (unless something has changed recently) to fit many people's needs/desires as far as automobiles go and because they're are so few of them they are very expensive. The one's I;ve seen they're all really small and underpowered. It's hard to cart around a family in a compact car, and makes less sense then buying a family sized car for less money. What do you propese the President do to encourage this, end every speech with "buy a hybrid car, you're destroying the environment with your gas guzzling SUVs!"? I suppose he could encourage people to use less oil and what not but every President does that and nothing happens. Oil is still the most cost effcient (sp?) and reliable source of energy for running a car or heating a house. Until private companyies can make alternative sources of energy way better and cheaper than oil very few people will switch over. In the long run people's wallets count more to them than the environment. Until that happens the President and everyone else can hoot and holler but nothign will change. People will think he's nuts if he starts telling people they should switch to more expensive and poorer performing sources of energy. And furthermore, since we are stuck with oil for the foreseable future we might as well try to capitalize the oil that we already have access to. Producing more oil would force down the world price. It's supply and demand. Popick is a economics major, I think he'll bakc me up on this one. Actually I think a few hybrid SUVs are set to hit the market this year, and I don't think Hybrid cars are any more expensive then most brand new cars. If someone wants to look it up to set me straight, then be my guest. Also, hybrid cars will sell just fine eventually, it is all in the advertising. I mean shit, who in their right mind would think common everyday people would want to waste their time on a Hummer to drive around on a daily basis, yet millions of dollars in advertising is helping convince yer average joe schmo that he needs one. It is all in the advertising. OK, as MikeSC said that isn't the gov't's job. But, car manufactureres will only advertise what they think will sell and big automobiles are what sells and what is most profitable for them. Big cars are as American as apple pie, to use an old cliche. That's what people want. Before SUVs, there were mini-vans, before that big station wagons, etc... Hummers are perhaps the most nutty form for this craze (as they are of no reasonable use to the average person) but they are legal and people do buy them. I drive a 2002 Grand Am (about 22 mile per gallon) and before that a 98 Ford Contour (about 25 mile per gallon). My decisions were made because of affordability, both in car cost and upkeep (gas, duribility, etc...), not because I see cars as a status symbol or an extension of my dick or whatever. I can't stand SUVs. They tend to be driven by idiots who think they own the road because they're in huge truck and you can't see around or through them, so you have to place total faith in your reaction ability and the person driving in front of you. You have to trust them to brake on time, not over brake, etc... as it is impossible to see what is going on in front of them to prepare yourself. Plus, it just bothers me to see some woman, driving an Expediton while talking on her cell phone and with no one else in the truck. Unless you're name is Evander Holyfield you don't have to have a fucking truck that big to hold your family. Well before the big car craze, was the "tiny as possible" sportscar craze, so I'd say it all goes in cycles. True it may not be the government's job to produce better quality cars, but it is their job to make sure that SUVs are not held to a lower standard in emissions and not let car companies get away with putting unsafe verhicles on our roadways for the purpose of profit margins. A lot of SUVs get a free pass on safety issues and emissions because they are in the same category as tractors that farmers use, which to me is pretty bullshit, and I for one, don't think this should be allowed to go on.

Sad News.

IMO, it is safe to say that the Iraq situation is a mess, while at the same time it is not approaching the levels of Vietnam by a longshot.

So I was just watching sportscenter and it was the usual response by the Lakers after a big loss. Phil Jackson said "the refs always fall for Divac's flopping" Shaq, "yesterday's game was predetermined" Reporter, "by whom" Shaq, "I dunno, but it was predetermined" Umm, yah ok Shaq, you mean predetermined like Game 6 in the 2001 Western Conference Finals to get the Lakers to the free throws 22 times in one quarter? That kind of determined!?! Seriously though, I am even willing to admit that the Kings may have benefitted from about 3 calls that could have gone either way, but for the Lakers players to whine about officiating, when in fact they have ALWAYS gotten the bias treatment in the playoffs over the past four years is fucking pathetic.

Scott Wolf was in the Glee Club. LOL. And wasn't the hot blonde teacher chick from Bill Madison, the girl who played the bimbo that took a more noticeable role in the Torrie eps? -
Isn't Golata fighting Chris Byrd? Golata was a tank, but he was also sloppy as hell.

No, but they throw poo when you make them angry. -=Mike Only when you enter their territory. They don't come to your hometown to do it. Not yet. Give them time and, eventually, we'll have armies of screaming, feces-hurtling simians marauding the streets. Thing is, odds of us being able to do ANY damage to the preserve is minimal. It's on a SHEET OF ICE. Even if an oil spill happens (and, just to alleviate some, oil companies work under STRICT protocols to avoid such stuff --- there is a reason the Valdez accident was a disaster and not "par for the course"), the odds of it being able to get near the water table are slim. -=Mike the problem with drilling in Alaska is that it doesn't address the issue that oil is not a renewable source of energy. It is just another attempt at a quick fix, which wouldn't really be a quick fix since the oil could not be used for something like 25 years anyway. It seems there are other options out there, especially with hybrid cars making a bit more of a splash then a couple of years ago. For whatever reason, our government doesn't seem to want to make an effort to go in any othr direction then, "more oil, please"

I thought Good Morning Miss Bliss originally had nothing to do with SBTB, I believe I remember seeing a clip with a young Brian Austin Greene as the smartass/geek of the class. The show flopped, and then they made SBTB with Haley Mills. -
Why is Jamie Lynn still getting a paycheck? I mean almost all of her screen time could have been done with a voice machine in an "over the phone" scene. I still don't see too much about AJ to hit the crisis button yet. I mean the cursing at the parents would get me a smack across the face, but the curfew issues and low grades are not so uncommon. I know guys who did a lot worse in highschool who were able to get their act together upon graduation and stepping into the "real world" No more "As Carmela's World Turns" I mean seriously, am I supposed to feel bad for her in the least. She was fucking AJ's principal, like that would do anything to help the situation with AJ. Oh yeah, MORE MOB STUFF PLEASE. Tonight's episode was the first stinker of the season IMO.

well the Kings decide to play defense for an entire game for the first time this season. Wow.

In all honesty, I thought Wladimir was a lot more tired and exhuasted then he was hurt. I think he was more scared when he got hit, then hurt. I think the ref was wrong to call that initial backward stepping into the ropes a standing 8 count in the first place. I mean it wasn't like Wladimir was sitting on the ropes like some fighters do, he was just backed up against them, and Brewster wasn't sitting there laying it on him. I just don't understand how Emanual Stewart could not have Wladimir in better condition for this. He was basically slaughtering Brewster for a few rounds, before being totally out of breath. I think Stewart wanted Wladimir to box, but after that 2nd round he should have told Wladimir just to go finish the dude off, no reason for him to sit around and paw and poke at a fighter that was ready to go. I didn't appreciate Roy Jones post fight saying how both Klitchko's have glass jaws though, as Vitali took some monster shots from Lewis and kept moving forward. To me what I saw more then anything was that it isn't that Wladimir can't take a punch, rather he doesn't know how to react when he does. I mean I only saw one big punch from Brewster that hurt Wladimir, but Wlad seemed scared after any punch connected on him, even when it didn't necessarily hurt him. I'd have to rank Wladimir K. as one of the most dissapointing fighters over the past decade, if he in fact never comes back from this. I'd probably rank Naseem Hamed #2 since he in fact never came back after his first loss. Vitali vs. Corrie Sanders certainly will have a lot more people watching now. Vitali looked fine and actually quite dominant over Kirk Johnson(yeh it's kirk johnson but hey oh well). I don't think Vitali wil dissapoint, but at the same time, I don't think Corrie Sanders is popular enough for people to know that he is a very capable fighter. Of course he is also one loss from just walking away from the sport anyway, but I don't like how people consider him some lucky bum that exposed Wladimir.

The local paper here gave GND (zero stars) legit. At first It figured it was our usual local guy hating on anything with "toilet humor" and his hate for it alone, made me want to see it, but now after my peers are actually re-inforcing the zero stars rating, I have decided not to see it, and for Walking Tall, it never really crossed my mind in the first place to see it anyway.

Yay~! Just got home from the A's victory. A pretty wild game. I must have seen about 100 doubles hit in that game. Wow.

I do agree that watching the Kings utter laziness when it comes to rebounding is pretty disgusting to watch. The A's winning tonight with me at the game, helped me forget about NBA Playoffs just around the corner.........until coming back into this forum of course......

The Lakers/Spurs/Wolves will dispose of the Mavs because like the Kings, they are a running team and when pressed and played physical they often wilt. Playoff basketball is a lot more physical and a lot more fouls or foul-like plays go uncalled, ESPECIALLY for the star players. The Kings/Mavs always have highly rated playoff games, mainly because they score a huge amount of points, but the difference between the two teams is that the Kings can play defense in spurts, and the Mavs well, can't. The Kings beat them in 5 two years ago without Peja, and would have beat them last year had Webber not gone down with the knee injury, even then it took the Mavs overtime in game 7 to do it. I am just hoping that the Lakers/Spurs somehow end up playing in the 2nd round so they can beat on each other for 7 games.

I am going to the A's game tonight. Mariners 0-3. Redman pitching tonight. Redman isn't the best, but as a #4 guy in your rotation, I'd say that is good. Hopefully Jermaine Dye stays hot.
