I've decided I'm voting for Ralph Nader.
NoCalMike replied to Dr. Tyler; Captain America's topic in Current Events
I voted for Nader last time and would imagine with the choice of Kerry/Bush this time around I will be voting for Nader again. Of course I live in CA so I don't have to worry about the "a vote for Nader is a vote for bush" nonsense. -
George W Bush makes joke about lack of WMDs
NoCalMike replied to Jobber of the Week's topic in Current Events
what do you all feel about Bush's campaign in 2000 joking that McCain had spent too much time in the POW camp and it made him go crazy, when they differed on some issues during their campaign? Was this also just a cute little joke? -
Former "Terrorism Czar" speaks out against Bush
NoCalMike replied to Dr. Tyler; Captain America's topic in Current Events
he seemed like he had plenty to criticize clinton about as well, and plus he said a lot of his motivation to go public was based on the fact that Bush was running as the "terrorism president" or whatever he calls it. -

Does the fact that Clarke was under the payroll and maybe he was not supposed to be "rocking the boat" come into play at all about past comments? Not to say Clarke is some honorable person for coming out and making these statements now, but I am sure 99% of people would never tell off their boss, but once they were fired/quit their job, they would be about 100x more truthful about their former job/boss. -
George W Bush makes joke about lack of WMDs
NoCalMike replied to Jobber of the Week's topic in Current Events
Even if you don't think the president lied, then for the mere fact that our troops are over there dying, yet Bush is making fun of how we can't find the WMDs seems a little fucked up to me. I am sure the troops would love to hear that ringing endorsement, or maybe they would look to hijack airforce one, and send Bush out to the middle of the desert to find some WMDs. -

George W Bush makes joke about lack of WMDs

Here is what I don't understand. Why is everything a republican says/does, followed up by, "yet you don't mind when........" and vice versa. Is it too bold to just come out and say both guys can be assholes and/or liars at times. I mean they are politicians for god's sake. Sorry if I don't find it funny that Bush is joking about his own lies and deceit, SAME goes for Kerry. -
there is a clip of a computer on napster in the trailer, so it almost surely gets mentioned.

This was a headline preview for our local news. Is this happening in any other town or is this a local Sacramento thing? I don't have comcast anyway, but I think it was funny cause my provider(D!sh) just went through the channel thing, and now this with comcast.

I might be getting one soon and I am just wondering. Was there a quota where you worked, like you had to have a certain amount done by the end of the day, or was it more the style of "this is never ending work so just keep going until the end of the day and whatever is done, is done" ?? Anything else you can tell me about it too, would be nice. I know going in it is going to be tedious work.

George W Bush makes joke about lack of WMDs
NoCalMike replied to Jobber of the Week's topic in Current Events
what is worse then the jokes themselves was Bush trying to deliver them. He looked like a stone up there. Really though, I love the fact that it is somehow a joke that there have been no WMD's found, even though that was a big reason the country put their support behind his concocted war in the first place. I mean it is kind of ironic that it was the liberals laughing and joking a couple years ago when Bush was trying to justify a war based on WMD's, and it only took Bush 2 years to realize that his rationalizations were one big joke in the first place. So I guess Bush finally got the joke..........too bad it cost american lives. -
well I would say it definately IS that bad.

Another thing to consider is that in the 2002 playoffs, when the Kings/Lakers went 7 games. Peja was basically rushed back from an injury to early and that is why Rick Fox was successful shutting him down a lot. EVERY GAME since then, pretty much Peja has gone off all over Rick Fox, so I wouldn't count on Rick Fox being any kind of factor come playofftime this time around.

More Smoking Guns in the Intelligence Community?

Yikes.... "Incredibly, Edmonds said "The senate Judiciary Committee, and the 911 Commission have heard me testify for lengthy periods of time time (3 hours) about very specific plots, dates, airplanes used as weapons, and specific individuals and activities." of course I am awaiting for attack dogs to come up with some lame reason she is somehow "not credible" -

I dunno why the ECW hate is even being spewed in this thread. This is gonna be a third show, you don't have to watch it. I mean all it is really gonna hopefully be is a show for guys that don't get any air time on Raw/Smackdown, the "ECW" is probably not going to even be the important part of the show. So, no one should really watch/not watch the show based soley on it being called "ECW"

And for the record, Vince didn't do half the "raiding of talent" that Bischoff did, but the difference was, at least in the early days Bischoff was interested in putting on a good wrestling show. Vince could care less about the "3 greatest workers in the world" Bischoff was raiding workers based on talent, thus making Nitro an overall better wrestling show then WWE(F) at the time. Well on the undercard at least.
-
Al Snow was ripped out, not technically stolen because he was a WWE employee, but it was confirmed that Snow was gonna win the ECW title from Shane, but Vince ripped Al Snow back because of the "head" gimmick. Well, actually, the 2nd version of the "head" gimmick.
-
Malenko & Guererro were really sad about leaving ECW because they said working in ECW allowed them to also work Japan, but Bischoff was not about to let them do that. They said it was basically for the money, which at that point in their career was understandable. So Heyman being the innovator he was, replaced Dean/Chris/Eddy with North America's first exposure to cruisers, a few of the best at that.

do you think Kings fans were just too spoiled this season so far though? I mean the Lakers went throught their Rut, so did the Spurs and Mavs(still kind of there). I think the Kings are definately hurting, trying to work a 50% Webber back into the offense. I mean what has me so alarmed is how the Kings are just not coming to play in the first quarter. Usually this year they come out and set the pace in the first quarter, lately they have put themselves in a hole in every single game.

I actually liked the name "The Phantom Menace"

well I think they are looking at the big picture though. Webber at 100% for the playoffs or at least from the 2nd round on, is worth 5-7 more regular season losses, IMO. Of course NO ONE will beat the Lakers in LA if tonight is any indication of the favortism they are going to recieve come playoff time. Shaq only went to the line 3 times so you know he is not happy. yeah but I think the Kings went 6 times total in the first 3 quarters. Plus I swear after every foul call the Lakers players were in the ref's faces yelling and cursing, yet no Techs, however the minute Webber speaks or Bibby of all people.....*whistle* I am not trying to make excuses for them losing. It was pretty obvious from the whistle that the Lakers were playing with a purpose and brought their A+ game, and even if the Kings were playing well it would have been tough. However I just don't to hear all the Lakers camp(players & fans) pretend that this game magically matters more then the other two regular season games.

Former "Terrorism Czar" speaks out against Bush

I think the most telling thing Clarke pointed out was that Bin Laden and his coherts used 9/11 specifically to pull the U.S. into middle east conflict which would in turn breed another brand new generation of terrorists, and Bush/Rumsfield/Cheney etc......basically went for it hook, line and sinker. I don't understand why conservatives are acting like some of the things Richard Clarke is saying, are somehow new ideas, I mean these accusations have been thrown around for a couple of years now, Clarke just happens to be the most credible one to make a lot of the accusations valid. -
So Triple H was traded back to Raw for what reason exactly? RVD & booker T had to drop the tag titles so they could individually be drafted back to smackdown!?! Wow, could this be any worse? Oh yeah I only commented on the first two segments........UGH
