How much would a DirectTV bill be, if I wanted All the premium channels.......(HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, The Movie Channel, Starz, Encore, Action, Myster, Love, Western WAM......etc....) ?

I have a feeling this will be worked out in a week or so. The channels being blacked out are too wide a variety to where it probably affects a lot of age groups and viewers. In our House we have D!sh's everything pak, so hopefully we will get EVERYTHING BACK, soon.

The WWE site has a list, but it is only specific sportsbars that WWE has licensed to show their ppvs. I am sure plenty of other sportsbar do it anyways. Your best bet is to open your phone book and start calling sportsbars in your town.

so is D!sh owned by EchoStar, or are they two seperate entities? If I lose all these channels, DirectTV is getting a call tomorrow. What sucks is, I live in an area that gets Comcast but I happen to live on a street with 3 houses and all of us have about 2 acres of land, and when they built all the new homes in around us, they never put in a cable adapter-plug-in system in our street, and when we called the cable company they said it wasn't worth it to them to put one on our street, even if all of us decided to get Comcast Cable. So it looks like DirectTV for me if this deal doesn't get worked out. I really don't understand this, I mean we aren't talking 2-3 crappy channels here, this is a big group of quality channels.

Well yeah, pretty much. I would disagree however that "all" politicians don't care about the working man, however they know what they have to do to get elected, and that is just promise this and that, point out the great things that happened in our country that probably had little to do with them in the first place, blame the "other guy" for everything wrong. Not to say that 3rd party members are 100% clean, but this is why I really want to see more then a Democrat & Republican debating in November, because the 2 big parties are pretty much signed, sealed, and delivered to corporate interests locally and globally upon winning the election, and that goes for Democrats AND Republicans alike.

I agree with Brock on his gripes regarding UT, but in all honesty I don't even think Brock is all that great either, and would hope he is not really a long term solution as the champ.

Actually, FCC restricting telco while turning a blind eye to cable is why Comcast owns all. Oh, wait, I see. I meant that in the anti-competitive monopoly sense, and you meant it in the positive compliment sense. Well, I wouldn't exactly say that. If you live on this coast, a lot of channels are available in PT-only form (used to be all of them, although now east coast premiums like HBO are suddently available.) Both have their ups and downs, but I enjoy watching Raw with the east coast smarks (which is most of everyone here it seems) and DirecTivo is almost the definition of the term "Killer App." Yeah I like getting the live Raw.

I voted Nader in 2000, and No in the recall election. I think I am registered as a democrat but then again they were the first booth in the mall.

Decent opener. Things look to pick up the pace in a big way next week.
